Me given about 1/3 of a seconds notice in my college library.

In London by a random resturant with a fish tank in the window. One of the fish looked pretty damn happy as well. The expression featured is my very bad attempt at mimicking said fish's face.

In the first picture, you are most definitely one of the prettier girls I've ever laid eyes on; but in the last two, it's like someone crossed a boy band singer with a pirate. My brain can't decide if you're an attractive young woman or a dashing swashbuckler.

So, a few years back I got on medication. And one of the side effects was weight gain. I inflated like a balloon, going up to two hundred and fifteen pounds.

Well, I've finally turned myself around. I've been dropping 1-2% of my weight a week like clockwork for months now on my new exercise regimen, and I just hit. 40 lbs. below my high watermark.

Wait, what? This is the first I've heard of this, and I've know a couple of people in WA who owned ferrets (and maybe still do). There's even a WA Ferret & Ferreting Society. I think a couple of years ago they had their annual ferret race in a park near where I now live. So, I'm 100% certain it is not illegal to own ferrets in WA.

Several years ago if you were bringing ferrets into WA from other Australian states they had to have a quarantine inspection, but it looks like that law was repealed in 2007. However it is illegal to bring in ferrets from overseas, due to quarantine laws.

oh really? i know they used to be illegal in WA and someone told me they still were. But that doesn't really affect my decision not to get a ferret as (please don't take offense sand-gropers) i would have to be paid a lot of money to ever live in WA, really don't enjoy much about that state.

because they are a non-native species that could cause utter devastation to the native wildlife if they got loose and became feral like cats have in Australia. And haven't become as mainstream as cats and dogs and so don't have such a massive number of people who would throw tantrums about them being illegal.
As much as i love ferrets and would love to keep one, if it were a choice between making all non-native animals illegal or having one as a pet, i'd chose the former option.

and thanks everyone for the comments. my little man has been very subdued since we moved house, but since i've been home alone for the last week i've been playing a lot of music in the main living areas, and he always sings along to music, especially Ryuichi Sakamota, Smashing Pumpkins, Bowie and Placebo.
(and i love my hair at the moment!)

So, I'm gonna get my hair trimmed sometime soon, and am thinking about dyeing my hair. I don't like the regrowth, so I always think about getting two colours, one on top and the other on the bottom (I watched a doco on hairdressing competitions once...) so it looks like a third layer as it grows out.

Interesting...is it actually possible to only dye the roots of someone's hair?

Eh? No, I mean, dye the bottom half of my hair one colour, and the top half of my hair another colour, and then as it grows out, the regrowth will look like a third colour. I'll see if I can find a picture...

edit: Maybe something like this, except longer. Also... better.

Dunno, that's the sort of thoughts I was after I like purple, but apparently (and I've experienced it) it tends to fade. I like bright and kingfisher blue, too...

OOoo yea bright blue would be ace! but b careful it doesnt fade into green thats happened before to someone I know.

My hair doesnt take any colour all I can do is bleach it to within an inch of its life.

I am trying to think of colours that could work well together to make a third and I am pretty much stuck with purple (there is also green and orange too but I like purple the best out of those three)
