Of course, many of the Classical designs are more..... serious than the later stuff. It kind of hedges things in Geewun's favour.

There are some awesome 'mons in each generation, though. Three doesn't have any of them in its starter lineup. Except for Grovyle and Blaziken. Possibly Sceptile and Treecko. Torchic isn't so much awesome as it is cute, and Combusken is just weird.
