Ok, so The Passing is basically the most amazing thing ever. I love it SO MUCH. ALL OF IT. Yeah.

Mutation is good too, gives those of us who suck a nice chance to keep up, at least with the murdering. I even got to play with a dev :D Unfortunately he was on the other team, and my team got stomped. Still fun times though.

I know everyone's Passing-crazy right now, but I'd like to recommend you guys a little game called The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom. It's a clever platform/puzzler (think Braid) with a fun little story about a dastardly pie thief named P.B. Winterbottom. I bought it on Xbox Live, but it's on Steam for 5 bucks.

The Passing update is incompatible with MetaMod-Source on the server which is why people haven't been able to use it. I'm trying to disable now.

Mario started crabbing at us about that, saying it was unfair. So I suggested we go back to the saferoom. Richard then came up with a better idea, and so we walked backwords to the saferoom, thus undoing our unfair advantage.

Deleting Metamod from the addons folder didn't seem to fix the issue so I'm using the automated re-install process. This will probably wipe out all our configurations and possibly add-on maps. It says that it will take 30-60 minutes. Given how busy they probably are I'm guessing I'll be asleep by the time it finishes. I think it should retain Djinn and Emlyn's admin accounts, so they may be able to adjust things. I'll try to check on it before work in the morning.

I also love the Passing. One of the best maps in Left 4 Dead 1 or 2.

Well, The Passing definitely lives up to my expectations. I wish it were a little longer though, and that the M60 wasn't a single-instance weapon. I love that gun ...

Nice to see old L4D characters, but I thought Louis was dead, not Bill. The map was fabulous, except for the Sewer, which was a little too linear. I was surprised all all of the side alleys and such as alternate routes. There are some things that are set up specifically for the game and will always repeat, such as the wedding witch. This adds to atmosphere, but not to game play.

Good job Valve, and funny to see over 3 pages of comments in this thread alone for the first day. Then again, it only was released for PC a few hours ago, and Xbox earlier today.

EDIT: Almost forgot! The AI Director should NEVER spawn more than one tank at a time. EVER! Splitting the group between two different tanks that spawn withing 5 seconds of each other is ridiculous!

As I type this, I am hiding from the 5-0. Gotta get the po' off my tail before I can purchase a few burgers, and also firearms.

EDIT: Doop-dee-doop, just going to go to the bathroom while I wait for the police to give up on finding that bright-red-colored woman--the one that robbed a jewelry store and killed two cops--who drove away on a chrome custom motorbike that is currently parked right next to a conspicuous bridge five feet from the crime scene.

So, um, I'm playing fallout 3 some lately with the expansions, and I'm picking up any intact garden gnomes I find and taking them and putting them in my megaton house. I have even gone so far as to buy one.
Is this bad?

Anyway, The Passing: Did anyone else experience it with absolutely no new dialogue? All I got were lines already in my game files. Nothing but 'look!'s and 'boomer!'s and 'reloading!'s from new and old survivors alike. Had no idea what my objectives were until I completed them.

One complaint about The Passing: I was hoping for more interaction with the L4D survivors, possibly even being on the same ground level with them.
