Also, my search for the L4D2 maps used by GiTP servers is bringing up naught right now. Could someone please direct me to them so that I may partake in old school slaying?

Also if getting a bind doesn't work you can just open the console at the main menu, type "mm_dedicated_force_servers 68.232.183.127:27015" in and you will find the server when you host the lobby.

Additionally, before you play on the server I'd recommend you check Gametrackers to see if anyone is on the server. If so, just send Djinn, Turtle, or I a message and we'll restart it for you.

I just tried to start a No Mercy campaign on the server and it hung, so I'm guessing those aren't working at the moment. I'll be checking it out tonight and probably re-uploading the L4D1 content.

I think that there should be a new milestone added for each class: complete all achievements. When this milestone is reached, you should be awarded a special unique misc. item for that class. These shiny gold items will prove that you've mastered that class.

The items:
Scout - Track Star's Trophy
An Olympic-style gold medal worn around the Scout's neck.
Soldier - Medal of "Honor"
A handmade inverted star resembling the Medal of Honor pinned to the Soldier's chest.
Pyro - Smokejumper's Shield
A golden fireman's badge pinned to the Pyro's chest.
Demoman - Scotsman's Sporran
A gold-plated sporran hanging from the Demoman's waist.
Heavy - Soviet Star
A golden star medal pinned to the Heavy's chest.
Engineer - Sheriff's Badge
A six-pointed gold star pinned to the Engineer's chest.

I approve very much. I think for the pyro, maybe some sort of firefighters award (I can't find anything on wiki though >:) and for the Demoman, something to do with the lochness monster I think.

Having an achievement unlockable would be rewarding for those who waste their lives dedicate their time to this game. Especially with long grind achievements like Pyromancer, Tartan Spartan and Chief of Staff.

Played the Passing yesterday, and it was good but short. Just a little bit sad about Valve having to let █████ die. I was sure that █████ would have died. But no, they just had to kill █████.

On the other hand, is quite a refreshing change to have covering fire for once and the Midnight Riders were there. I think.

I managed to get L4D2 to actually work (setting paged pool memory to low) but the textures are grainy, which I could just about cope with (though my hardware is fine and could play it at max settings before the update!) but then some gun textures are really messed up. From what I saw, the pistol looks like it's just white, and one of the tier 1 shotguns could be made entirely out of stainless steel if it was supposed to match the texture that appears on my game. That's the worst bit of it.

I wish it just goddamn WORKED though, because there is nothing wrong with my hardware: I played it on max settings with no lag (except internet lag) or problems before The Passing update.

I also tried re-installing. What the earth should I do?

I sent a support ticket. Hopefully this can be resolved.

I never grinded for stuff like Chief of Staff or Pyromancer, but I do have them. Although it took me near 100 hours of play on each class to do so...I dunno if you really have to grind that much though.

So it is entirely possible to do a L4D2 campaign while only using grenades and shoving. With bots.

Whether it's possible with just grenades, I don't know. Or if it's possible on L4D1. Hmm. I guess it would be, since shoving is much more useful.
