But also, see Lloyd's shock. They all assumed: Green Dragon="Always" Lawful Evil=OK to kill. And even if that was the case, does it still make it okay? If they knew the baby dragon was there, they would have killed him without a second thought.

They're ruthless for sure, but are they evil...? I leave it for you to decide. (Just try to keep the debating to a minimum; Discord doesn't like it much.)

Well, when all of the chromatic dragons you ever hear about spend their time eating people and getting kicks out of it or being generally evil, and the one you personally knew was a crime lord who killed or maimed people who disagreed with him or their families (because I doubt he merely gave a wedgie to the guy who was annoyed at him), you don't tend to expect one of them to be nice. You wouldn't expect a Hun to come to your town for the sales and have a friendly chat with you over tea and cookies, would you?

You have a definite point there. It's also worth remembering that monsters in myths were just there for people to fight. Morality really never entered into it. Modern D&D could follow that tradition, if the DM wanted to.

Lloyd screamed.

Ever since that incident with the green dragon he had been having horrible nightmares, turns out a paladins immunity to fear did not apply to nightmares.

He sat up panting for breath.

"Holy..."

"Awww...little pally can't sleep, well tough luck!" The green dragon hissed, being understandably not in a very good mood at the moment.

"HEY! Watch your tone dragon" Matt warned.

"Umm...why is everyone awake? It's the middle of the night" Radic questioned from where she stood on guard duty.

"Because HE woke us up" Matt points accusingly at Lloyd.

Before anything more could be said they were interrupted by a loud voice.

"AHH Lloyd...you can...ahh...desecrate my temple...any day"

And that would be Janine, somehow still sleeping despite all the screaming.

Lloyd just stared.

Radic facepalmed.

Matt stared at Radic's butt.

The dragon grumbled about something to himself, something about rope...

Remus just twitched at the awkward feeling in the air.

"Why me?" Lloyd whispered to himself.

"I dunno, because you are a jerk?" Matt asked. He then screamed when Radic caught him checking her out and had Remus jump him.

THAT finally woke Janine up.

"Who...dares...interrupt...my...SLEEP!" She roared.

The dragon hid in the bushes.

Remus played dead.

Matt was on the ground moaning in agony.

Lloyd was pretending to be asleep.

Radic said "Matt did it!"

Poor Matt, there wasn't much left of him when Janine was finished

Yeah, i thought Matt's warning was a little off to, but he seemed like the most likely to dislike the dragon and thus the most likely to take every opportunity to screw with him.
