Game-inspired templates and gear
Maybe it is just me...But when I play a game I always end up thinking "Man that would be so cool to use with my dnd (3,5) character.."
So, after searching I found nothing about gamer equipment and templates, I decided to create my own thread.
My idea was that everyone could post their request or come with input about given thing.
My first two requests would be 1) How to create a Ray Sphere from InFamous so it would work and grant the person electric powers (or something similar). My first idea was that the sphere would kill anyone excep conduits (which would be some sort of feat or something)
and 2) the virus from Prototype. I am guessing some sort of template :\
I hope that someone with more experience would be able to help me

Re: Game-inspired templates and gear
Well as for the ray sphere it would have to be a major artifact considering how powerful it would be as for the prototype virus i'll work on something for that and see how you like it

Re: Game-inspired templates and gear
For the virus someone did make a class for it, and here it is.

Re: Game-inspired templates and gear
The Ray Sphere would be a plot-device-level artifact that results in you being turned into a sorcerer with a bunch of electricity spells. Or some kind of spellfire-warlock hybrid that requires you to absorb magical/electrical energy to power your invocations, if you wanted to get more complex with it.
Cole himself had a background/occupation benefit that granted a bunch of acrobatic and athletic skills, I don't think that'd be part of the class itself. He took some unarmed combat feats too, but his skill in that regard might mean his class had at least a medium BAB.Extended Homebrew Signature
SpoilerCoplantor's Official Second-In-Command 2.0. It's alot like being Will Riker, but still with less alien women and also pirates.

Re: Game-inspired templates and gear
I believe that this class is also based on the virus from Prototype, but having never played the game I cannot speak to its veracity.
