    Aww, that would be awesome!

I'm keeping the V one though. (Speaking of which, would it be rude to ask if/when you're doing another OOTS manga page?)

You know, since page 4 I couldn't stop relating that toy with Roy (bad words choice). As if he thought of himself as a knight, but everyone else saw him as a robot (Abyssal - something with no will). Also it looks like the Optic Knight. Or maybe it's just me...

I'm pretty sure that's the point of the flashback. And i don't see why you would feel otherwise when that descent thing seems involuntary at this point.

Operative word being seems. It COULD have been a voluntary thing, making this flashback sequence even more sad. I mean, it looks like there could have been any amount of time between then and now... we don't know if pages have the same rate of aging as vanilla humans.

I *think* the falling is an involuntary thing, but one that is inevitable after a certain point-maybe turning against the pages did it?

Next two pages up. The flashback has ended.

And nice catch, Tulio. That toy's got more meaning to it than it seems at first.

I'll probably do an OOTS manga sometime, but I've looked through the archives and there's not really a single page I want to do right now. The Sapphire Guard thing was probably the coolest of the lot.

So it seems it involuntary, doesn't it?

    Hmm...

Also, I like the character development for Tony. He's more sympathetic than the average aloof, apathetic Joe that I thought he was going to be at the beginning.

Not really. If it was voluntary it makes Roy really, really hateable. but it was doubtful from the start, particularly if he knew he'd lose rational thought.

Well, if you look at the newest page, it mentions that he was resisting this.

So, descent is NORMALLY voluntary, but involuntary in this particular case. Interesting.

Are you reading that from the latest page? Because when I read it, I thought the taking of the drug was involuntary, but normally voluntary.

The drug causes descent; but that doesn't mean that descent is always caused by the drug. (Other things could cause it as well.) Furthermore, if descent as a result of that drug is the equivalent of an overdose, then you could have people taking that drug voluntarily with no intent on descent.

Descent is probably the result of a Page going mad with power or something. It's Involuntary, but the result of a variety of decisions the Page makes, or the Page's mental state. It looks like Ink (Capitalized for a reason) forces them into the state where they may descend.

I'm guessing the Ink (every letter in that font is capatalised ) increases a pages powers, and that people happen to go mad with power because of it. Deciding you should rule humanity doesn't seem like something that happens normally.

Personally, I'm intrested in why it was specified as "Drug Ink." Was that just to make it clear that it's not the type of ink one writes with, or do pages (or knights) use a different form of Ink allowed by their codex?
