Great manga but wa~y too much fanservice.

The story's epic enough to counter that, though.

And the genre shift the author pulled on his publishers was awesome

Oh, don't exaggerate. There are only, like, 7 (well, 5-10) main Chinese languages. We Indians have that many languages per state. Hell, there are that many languages spoken in my house.

Yet the only language I know is English. I am a very sad person.

Thinking about it, Ben actually has a pretty weak Whitebox weapon.
So, from the abyssal fight, it seemed clear that even with three pages (None of which were Masters, but none of which were exactly novices. Considering that Mr Reese was a Bodyguard, you'd think he would know how to fight), the best they could hope for was to keep the abyssal busy until a Librarian showed up.
Librarians are just ordinary humans who wield Whitebox weapons.
    So, the normal power-scale is
Mundane-Page-abyssal-Librarian (Obviously, this is an oversimplification, but you get it). Which means that most Whitebox Weapons are powerful enough to bring their wielders, otherwise ordinary humans, past Abyssal levels of power.

The Bibliography mimics the abilities of Pages, so Ben shouldn't be able to do anything a Page couldn't do. Unless the Bibliography boosts the spells it absorbs, or can be used for nifty cross-codex combo shenanigans, he's not actually much tougher than a page.

I'll point out that when he absorbed the ocular blade and used it, it ended up being more powerful than the abyssal's ocular blade. As such it seems to boost the power of the spells. The question is if it boosts them by a specific amount or to a specific power level. In the former case it's best if he gains the spells of abyssals as that will result in the most power, while in the latter he can gain spells that would be more useful.

Also, it can double as a handy shield given that it absorbs any spell that hits it thus protecting him.

True, I'd forgotten about that bit.

Hopefully, boosting the power of the spells does not rule out the possibility of cross-codex combo shenanigans.

But given that Mr. Jupiter said that it was like fighting with Ben's dad again, I wouldn't rule out the possibility that the jump in power between the abyssal's blade and Ben's was that Ben was simply stronger on his own.

Additionally, if you think about it, Ben is quite possibly the best person for the job if you want to hunt down, say, a rogue Page who hasn't gone Abyssal.

While an Abyssal gains great physical attributes, a Page who focuses on spell wouldn't stand a chance against Ben if he were to use the Bibliography. And we don't even know the full power of the Bibliography. Imagine having that whole book filled up with spells!

And the way Eve said it, it's possible to get multiple Whitebox Weapons. This could just be the tip of the iceberg.

She could be an orphan that took up work at her orphanage when she got old enough and therefore a page
