After acquiring some CORES from one of your MOSTLY WORTHLESS TEAMMATE, you can finally begin the construction of your MEGA DOOM ARMY. For now, that just means making a CLOCKWORK CRAWLER, but soon you will command legions both vast and mighty! Just as soon as you take control of this MECHANOFORTRESS, that is.

Actually, that probably should have happened by now. Hopefully nothing has gone TERRIBLY, TERRIBLY WRONG IN A WAY THAT WILL PREVENT YOU FROM EVER CONTROLLING THE MECHANOFORTRESS. But of course that's impossible. If it was, you would have read about it on the INTERNET FORUMS.

That worked about as well as you might have expected.

It's no good! It's like it's not an actual line in the ground and just some kind of graphical representation of a vague immaterial numerical effect. If you were a scientist you could probably come up with a fancy name for this phenomenon that doesn't really help explain what it is at all.

Of course, you always do your own thing. If you ever did something that someone else told you to do, it would be pure coincidence and not because you hadn't thought of that before they told you. In fact, the fact that you sometimes do do what someone happened to tell you to do only proves that you are under nobody's control. You're your own man.

For example right now you're being told to do what you want to do, and not what you're being told to do, which is to do what you're being told to do. Which means that no matter what you do, you are doing exactly what they told you to do, and also ignoring their orders.

If you do what you were planning to do, then you're obeying their order to "do your own thing" but disobeying their order to "ignore this order", since you're doing what they ordered. If you do something that you wouldn't have done, then you're disobeying their order to "do your own thing", but obeying their order to "ignore this order", since you're not doing what they ordered.

It's quite a quandary, and you feel you must congratulate your would-be order-givers for coming up with something that could cause you to doubt yourself to this degree. However, you regret to inform them that their ploy will not work on one as clever as you!

You spend so much time thinking about all of this that you end up not doing anything at all.

You would, but you have no weapons equipped! Hopefully your master will equip you with one soon, although somehow it seems unlikely to you that she has a FORCE FIELD FEEDBACK DEVICE on her, though, so you will just have to make do with heroically sacrificing yourself with whatever she does give you.

If your normal attacks can't hurt him, then you'll just have to wail on him with your CALIBRATING CLAYMORE! That thing did a lot of damage the last time you used it! You'll just grab it and bring it right down on his hea...OW.

You realize too late that you can't use your CALIBRATING CLAYMORE until it's been charged up with normal attacks!

Now you're just not even trying anymore. He wasn't doing his own thing before, nor ignoring the order. Instead he paid attention to the order without doing his own thing, which means he successfully avoided obeying your order despite your nefarious plans to try and catch him in a web of manipulation and contradictions.

If he were to do his own thing right now, for example by swinging down through a hole into the room below because his BILINEAR BULWARK ran out, then he would be beginning to do his own thing, not continuing to do so. And since he wasn't ignoring your order previously, he is only now beginning to ignore it, not continuing to do so. No matter what foul word-tricks you try to construct, you have no chance of ever having even the slightest effect on the actions of this daring and pious champion of justice!

Oh, and by "for example" I meant "this is what he's actually doing right now."

You're not about to let this guy escape after he hurt one of your friends! Even if this is just a game and she isn't actually hurt, and is only being affected by it because she thinks it should and isn't really used to being hit not hurting yet.

You quickly switch into ACTION AGENT mode and swing down after the enemy player in HOT PURSUIT. This is cool enough to net you a point of ACTION.

naturally i only expect one such weapon to be buildable/equiped. i just wrote down alot of interesting options.

with the WRW or the SS, the CC could go down the same hole as SM without needing to take the long route down.
