Re: Let's Play: MSPaint Adventure: GenGame!
oh FFS people, level zero is a glitch in the program, an empty void of space with nothing in it. it is not sentient, it has no high overlord, there’s nothing living in there unless someone falls inside, really its just a place that was never coded into existence, like if you cheat your way to the edge of that old mmo game and jumped off. you would just be stuck in a perma-freefall because there would be nothing for you to land on.
Best you can do IMO is to log out and select "log in at mechanofortress*" on the menu screen rather then the usual "log in were last logged out" option.

Re: Let's Play: MSPaint Adventure: GenGame!
ok so probibly a stupid idea, but im just throwing this out there for discussion.
what if in order to beat the game, you need to go outside of it and bring in objects from the real world or something? IDK, just a though.
now that i think abut it that sounds an awful lot like the keep from the Zixx level one/two TV shows...Avy by Thormag

Chat Log:

MG: well lets see
MG: we should probably split up no matter what we do
SM: Wouldn't it be better to stick together? Safety in numbers and all that.
MG: its risky but if we dont take control fast were screwed
MG: the other team probably has already taken both of their lands
MG: or they will pretty soon at least
SM: But if we split up then they can just pick us off one by one, can't they?
MG: if we dont split up theyll just overwhelm us eventually
MG: anyways taking castle bane should probably be our number one priority
MG: if the other team takes that then we pretty much lost already
SM: I still don't know why that's so important, but if it's as big a deal as you say, then wouldn't the other team be heading for it as well? I don't think we really stand a chance at beating them right now.
MG: yeah but they cant take it yet anyway
MG: its not something you can just take whenever you want
MG: its got its own defenses and such
MG: we just need to be there so they cant concentrate on taking it
SM: Hm, well if it's that hard to take, then maybe we should concentrate on taking all the lands and such while they're busy with that? It shouldn't matter if they have the castle if we've taken control of everything else in the meantime, right?
MG: hmm
MG: maybe
MG: but i doubt itll be that easy
MG: at most we might take control of the two lands and the two keeps
MG: if were lucky
SM: I suppose...
MG: id say we should have you and bh take the two lands closest to us
MG: while i head for castle bane and keep the other team from taking it
SM: On your own? Just one of them gave all three of us so much trouble...
MG: i dont need to beat them
MG: i just need to use my minions to distract them and keep them from taking the castle
MG: then once you two take your lands you can head up and help me drive them off
MG: or if i can keep them busy myself then you can head for the keeps instead and then push into the other teams lands with your huge armies
MG: probably forcing them to go defend
MG: which will let us take castle bane
SM: Hm, I can't help but have some doubts about this plan...it seems to rest a lot on you being able to fight the whole other team on your own.
MG: ugh like i said i dont need to beat them
SM: And BH still isn't back on...what if she can't get on for a long time? I hope everything's okay with her...
MG: argh
MG: well hopefully shell get back on soon
MG: i guess we just need to keep going and hope it doesnt take too long
SM: Well, looking at the map, there's two lands right next to us. Maybe we should just keep it simple for now and try and each take one of those?
MG: but then the other team would be free to take the castle
SM: This is pretty complicated...
SM: What should we do?

Re: Let's Play: MSPaint Adventure: GenGame!
IMO they should focus on one land, perhaps after doing some scouting to make sure the other team isn’t after it yet. Anyone know if a MG can build a GLIDEING GEARFRAME yet? with some quick adjustments to CC#001, they could launch him from the top of the MECHOFORTRESS so he could circle around and search for ENEMY PLAYERS. if he sees them in either of the lands, then we can go after the opposite land. they cant take our MECHOFORTRESS until Gencorp fixes the whole bug problem, and MG really needs to level up so she can build more CLOCKWORK MINIONS, which she can later use to defend and fortify Castle Bane.
so in Summery:
>MG: check to see if you can build a GLIDEING GEARFRAME to attach to CC#001. if so, do so.
>CC#001: Glide around the MECHOFORTRESS' line of sight ring to extend your LINE OF SIGHT and search for ENEMY PLAYERS. inform MG of any sightings.
>MG+SM: leave a note for BH informing her you are both going to whatever land dose not hold any ENEMY PLAYERS, then leave for said land.Avy by Thormag

You seem to be going at a pretty steady 10 meters per second. Or maybe it's 10 meters per second per second. There's no air resistance, or anything to gauge your speed to, so you can't really be sure, but 10 seems like a nice number so you're going to stick with that.

What is up with this place? It all feels vaguely familiar, but so much of it is just...missing. It's like if some incompetent wanna-be programmer tried to make a game, but nothing really fit together right.
At any rate, it looks like there's 5 doors you can enter easily, and one that you could probably jump over to. There's also another door that you might be able to swing down into, but there's no way you could pull off a feat like that unless you had a point of ACTION.
