Re: Camelot WW 1 - The Sword in the Stone (Game on!)
1. Did you like the game? What little I got of it.
2. Will you play in Camelot 2? Certainly.
3. Will you recommend a friend to play in Camelot 2?
Maybe.
4. Did you think the game was balanced? (more on that below)
For all people are complaining about Merlin, let's face facts here. It came down to two wolves and three villagers in the end, which is a damn close game.
5. Did you like the narrations?
They were fantastic
6. Which was your favorite narration and why?
Probably my death and the day before that.
7. What would you like to see changed for Camelot 2?
*shrugs*
8. Any other comments? N/AAvatar by Me!

Re: Camelot WW 1 - The Sword in the Stone (Game on!)
1. Did you like the game?
Indeed.
2. Will you play in Camelot 2?
Certainly.
3. Will you recommend a friend to play in Camelot 2?
Certainly.
4. Did you think the game was balanced?
For the most part, yes. Merlin surviving to the endgame, the archbishop not having a single stroke of luck the entire game and the Sniper being killed relatively early to the unblockable kill all worked against the villagers, but it still was a close game.
5. Did you like the narrations?
I suppose they could have used more cowbell, but beyond that, perfect.
6. Which was your favorite narration and why?
Ending narration.
7. What would you like to see changed for Camelot 2?
The Suppression Point system is a wonderful idea that I would like to see used again. The change cd4 suggested I was also going to suggest, switching to make him a disguiser every-other-night and a 3-point vortexer with one-night cooldown on vortex and Arthur's night kill.
Also, perhaps allow suppression points to be exchangeable. That might allow some interesting scenarios where normal wolves could suppress their point, forgo the night-kill to aid their leaders closer to the endgame.
8. Any other comments?

Re: Camelot WW 1 - The Sword in the Stone (Game on!)
I don't think being able to share the suppression points is a good idea (aside from the established Kay and Ector pool of points already established). I think that gives too much potential to store up points and nuke all the villagers at the endgame. I see it playing out like this....
Days 1-4: All wolves suppress all of their points and only use given abilities. No one is night killed. Wolves lose 4 night kills, but villager lynches still happen. ~24 suppression points are accumulated.
Days T-6 until T (where T is endgame): Wolves dump all suppression points on Unblockable night kills/vortexes/daybanes while simultaneously getting their normal night kills in. Remaining villagers drop like flies (5 every two days) unless they get lucky and find wolf power roles quickly.Want to meet some of the most awesome people on the internet? Re: Camelot WW 1 - The Sword in the Stone (Game on!)
That's why I put a 1-night cooldown on Arthur's unblockable kill, so at worst it would be 3 kills/2 nights, which is hardly too much since the good guys do have a sniper and baner.
Edit: And even if the wolves do get all vortexy/daybany, that is revealing wolves, it would be a MASSIVE gambit that would require all the wolves to coordinate to an extreme measure that is highly unlikely in any degree, especially that of a (mostly) blind wolf game.Last edited by Griever; 2010-06-23 at 12:27 AM.

Re: Camelot WW 1 - The Sword in the Stone (Game on!)
This plus lynches is where I got my 5 every 2 count.
If it got to that point, so long as only one wolf was outed, they're still controlling the lynch. Look how many villagers we killed while they were trying to lynch me, and we didn't even get to share our points. Now imagine the same scenario, but Arthur and Merlin had access to vanilla wolves' suppression points too.Want to meet some of the most awesome people on the internet? Re: Camelot WW 1 - The Sword in the Stone (Game on!)
I think I'll play the next one, instead of not-co-narrate, like I did with this one.
I've learned one thing from this game.
I'm a horrible co-narrator, if the main narrator is actually active.
Good job Lostlittlebear. Your Camelot game is a success.

Re: Camelot WW 1 - The Sword in the Stone (Game on!)
It came down to 3 villagers and 2 wolves with the seer living until the end. Usually, when the seer manages such a feat, it's an easy villager victory.
As for how to nerf Merlin, I like cd4's idea. It still makes him very useful without making the wolves a pain to lynch.
Narrations and how the game was run were great, have absolutely no complaints there.
