Makin cookies and listening to Barenaked Ladies' new album (sans Steven Page). Life is pretty freaking awesome.

Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
It's called "All In Good Time". I can't decide how I feel about it yet. I love about a third of the songs (notes new lyrics in the sig, thanks to "summertime"), but I'm just not a fan of Kevin Hearn's voice, and his songs feel predictable to me. I love Ed Robertson, though. LOVE. All and all, it's a much more serious album than any of their earlier disography, but that's been the trend in the last ten years ("Barenaked Ladies are Me" and "Barenaked Ladies are Men" in particular had some serious pieces, but still a lot of humor). And they've still got their trademark fun pieces, and sarcasm, and bizarre theoretical situations.
Basically, I feel like they haven't quite found their stride yet, without Steven Page, but I like the feel of their music.
I have Gordon, Maybe You Should Drive, Rock Spectacle, part of Stunt (I don't know what happened to the rest, but I can't find the disc), Maroon, Greatest Hits '91-'01, Everything to Everyone, BLAMen, Snacktime (their kids' album), and All In Good Time. I really need to purchase the rest of their discography.

Could well be. My suit is just not up to scratch. I'm sorry Neil. Also the fact it reminds me such people almost certainly exist brings my tiny world crashing down.

Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
How did you know about that dream?! I never told anyone!
Seriously, though, it's just weird. I watched the first episode, and when a guy from her guild turns up at the front door, I started feeling uncomfortable.
Seriously, he knows where her BATHROOM is.
Also, I may need to get a new suit this week. I have a formal dance on the 8th, and my old one has a few... issues >,>

Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
I have two suits. One cost £150 from a shop that specialised in them which my mum bought because she insisted I had to have a good one, was bought with the end of 6th Form ball in immediate mind. In less than 3 years the stitching on the jacket has completely fallen apart twice.
The other cost £1 from the Salvation army, which I bought because I had a job interview at Greggs and needed a smart jacket. It might as well be made of adamantium, it was 30 years old when I bought it and I think it may well outlast the Earth, still in perfect condition.

Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
Tell you what should feel like an achievement: doing an entire ICT project over the course of one weekend that is designed to last a good few weeks and doing it well.
However, I cannot feel that yet because I have zero motivation.
Also I may get a T-Shirt printed that says "You are now aware of every breath you take. Have a nice day!"Last edited by Dogmantra; 2010-05-01 at 11:01 AM.

Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
Apparently my family just can't be trusted on their own.
In the month since I saw them last my mum and step-dad have given up work, my sister has turned into a massive skunk addict (technically this was already happening but she hid it well) and has been permanently kicked out of my mum's house, my mum and dad are back to the way they were when they first divorced, my granddad (who I thought was at least feeling better) could die any second and most shocking of all my brother is selling hislife partnerx-box.
Seriously, how does this all happen in a month. A warning to the playground, don't forget to call your family, they might have sprouted wings or been turned into chocolate or something.Piratebold-Bard by Elder Tsofu | Backer #121 of the Giantitp Kickstarter | My homebrew
