Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
No new comic, yet. (Sorry to those who clicked hoping to see the new strip), but there is now a Facebook page.
Pages 68 and 69 have been drawn, page 1 of Chapter 2 has been started, coloring is all that is left to be done.
T Catt is trying to sell his house, so a lot of the slowdown seems to have a lot to do with prepping the house for sale.
The fans are still here. Thanks to Ceika (X2), Yeril, Holammer and Dr. Bath for the Avatars!

Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
Not exactly a new strip, but progress! There is a new Cover for the comic posted, and the Facebook page says he has a half dozen new strips ready to go, with 4 already in T_Catt's hands.
Bad news though, the Facebook page also says Annick (the artist) wants to focus her art on her art strengths. So T_Catt is once again looking for an artist to draw the strip...Thanks to Ceika (X2), Yeril, Holammer and Dr. Bath for the Avatars!

thanks /rolls with eyes
what I meant is that the artists wouldn't be ruining their reputation with a crappy story
unless they don't want to be accociated with D&D on general principles.

Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
Ah ha ha, ah ha ha, ah hee hee...
I'd be ticked if you weren't so darned accurate!
The good news:
I have seven completed filler arc strips in my hands, after the one that I posted today. I'm preloading these, so even if I'm hit by a bus, there will be two updates a week for the next month.
I have the complete line art for the last two strips of chapter one, plus a commitment from an amazing colorist to make them look ever so much better than my pitiful attempts at coloring the last fifteen or so strips have been. These will run after the mini arc.
Finally, I believe that I have found a new artist. She is fast, she does her own color, she is a DM, she loves D&D, and she WANTS to do the art... no arm twisting necessary. Maybe that third time is, indeed, the charm. We'll see once chapter two picks up.
If the cards fall right, we'll be able to build up a sizeable cushion while these existing strips run... who knows? Maybe we can avoid any future outages for when my life (or me in general) starts to suck... since we know that those days will certainly come again at some point.
Thanks to all of those who have patently waited (or cursed me like a dog, but still hoped to see updates). I really do appreciate each and every single reader of Loaded Dice.
Incidentally, there are three ways to keep up with Loaded Dice. Even in my suckiest of times, I manage to interact with these:
1. Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/ldcomic
2. Twitter - http://twitter.com/@ldcomic
3. The Loaded Dice forums (at the Red Dragon Inn) - http://www.rdinn.com/view_cat.php?catid=21Last edited by t_catt11; 2011-05-17 at 10:39 AM.

Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
Glad you think so, Gray Mage.
I've seen coloring progress on our last two regular strips from chapter one - they are looking good!
Also, I just posted the second full strip of the mini arc.Santa4me.com: personalized, one of a kind letters from Santa Claus!

Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
The short arc is looking pretty good! It has a "Hero with a Thousand Faces" vibe going for it, which makes me wonder how it's going to be twisted at the end!
Glad you were able to get the ball rolling on this one again. Loaded Dice reminds me of the groups I've played in and DMed over the years. It would have been a shame to have abandoned it two pages before a chapter ending. Thanks to Ceika (X2), Yeril, Holammer and Dr. Bath for the Avatars!

Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
Thanks again for the words of encouragement/deserved derision.
I have the completed art (colored) for strip #70 (aka the cover of chapter two), and also, have the colored version of strip #69. Strip #68 (aka the mega strip that ate my life) is about half colored. I'm about to drop the first batch of chapter two scripts on the new artist (who is working ona new logo right now).
In other words, we're well into production again.Santa4me.com: personalized, one of a kind letters from Santa Claus!

Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
Site is restored, comic is posted.
Sorry about the issues, folks - I'm looking at the auto post script to make sure that (hopefully) doesn't happen again.
The domain itself went kaplooey this weekend... it's hosted with a different registrar than my other sites, who (the registrar) refuses to update my email address. So of course I forgot that renewal time was here, and of course, it happened while we were involved in baby stuff.
All is well now. Mom and baby are doing great, thanks!Santa4me.com: personalized, one of a kind letters from Santa Claus!

Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
And there's the Twist!
Nice ending to a short arc! I've had that happen before, the deep roleplayers upstaged by the lucky dice guy! But hey, it's a game. That's why we keep score (xp)! Thanks to Ceika (X2), Yeril, Holammer and Dr. Bath for the Avatars!

Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
The artist had used it in a comic book competition or two, and didn't get the rssults he was wanting. Th elast I heard, he has decided to not draw it... which just stinks.
***************
As for Loaded Dice, I have finally posted the mythical strip 68 today. Closure for the original adventure is there for the taking. There's one more for chapter one, then we're done with it. Four strips for chapter two are already complete, and I have another side arc in progress, as well.
As for other comics... I may be pulling in a new comic to the Inn, and I may set up Myth Breakers (you may recognize it as a Loaded Dice filler) as its own comic. It would not update often... probably monthly... but it's good stuff, I think.Last edited by t_catt11; 2011-06-29 at 09:20 AM.

Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
Nice conclusion, now just waiting for the denouement!
The gang doesn't look completely happy, but they are all still alive, and will be back into the fight as soon as they can. So glad this strip didn't die the death of "Got more important things to do" as so many other strips have been known to do.

Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
Thak you for the kind words. There's no way that I can let this comic die - it rattled around in my head for a good two years before I took the plunge and started it. I've put a lot of time and effort into it, and really want to see it succeed.
No clue on that one. Site appears to load as always.
Just wanted to again say thanks to all who continue to read the comic - I very much apreciate it!Santa4me.com: personalized, one of a kind letters from Santa Claus!

Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
Nice! Now I have to go though and read them again from the beginning, just to read the complete story in one go.
Well done, great story, well written characters (and players and DM). Definatly had the "Game Table" feel of a good game, where you both enjoy watching the characters do their heroic thing, while you and your friends goof and laugh, get mad, think, and finally figure out what to do.Thanks to Ceika (X2), Yeril, Holammer and Dr. Bath for the Avatars!

Re: The Return of Loaded Dice!
Ah, yes. "Where's our Loot!" The second best part of the after action reports.
But they did get the best part: Level Up!
What level are the characters? "More than Magic Peashooter" Implies Jhim is a 1st level MU, now 2nd Level. Is this right? Thanks to Ceika (X2), Yeril, Holammer and Dr. Bath for the Avatars!
