Camp Half-Blood: Ragnarök Now

A small camp situated along Long Island Sound.

It is not the most impressive of camps if one doesn't know how to look. Those with the correct sight, though, can discern something akin to a military training camp. The difference is that this seems far older, with the weapons being swords and axes instead of guns.

A large dining hall is situated not too far from the coast. Sounds of laughter can be heard echoing from it. Eleven cabins, situated in a sort of U-shape, are not too far from the hall. Several battlefields are scattered across the camp.

The acrid smell of iron tinges the air, though whether it's from the weapons or blood is unknown. The newest arrivals to camp (you players) are situated in an amphitheater. A tall woman with fiery red hair stands before you, scowling angrily.

"All right, you mutts, listen up! I'm not going to repeat myself. I am Brynhild, and I'm in charge of you lot while you're here at Camp Half-Blood. How you got here and why you're here now irrelevant."

She looks around the campers assembled there. "This is Camp Half-Blood, training place for demi-gods. If you thought the Norse gods didn't exist, you'd better start thinking differently. They exist wherever the warrior's spirit is strongest, and right now that just happens to be America. Hel, your country's been a warmonger since it started."

She looks around again. "If your godly parent hasn't claimed you, you're on your own. Figure out which cabin suits you best, and if they don't like you there, tough. You can prove yourself to them. Now, if anyone needs me, and you probably shouldn't, I'll be around."

She walks off, leaving the amassed new campers to figure things out for themselves.

[Beans]

Among the campers is a girl with scruffy black jeans, black sneakers, and an eyepatch. She wears a black tank top and has scarred arms; her hair is black and her single eye is grey.

A young man stands, thinking. He waves his hand and a bench appears. He sits on the bench.

Sitting in the back of the ampitheater, is a tall, dark-haired youtH. He is dresssed in a long black coat, black jeans, and a black heavy-metal t-shirt depsite the tempature outside. He has on a pair of sunglasses, making it impossible to tell if he is even awake.

Well that's lame. He says. He walks up to the closest camper in the ampitheater (perferably a player) and says Well that was cheery, wasn't it? He grins jokingly.

A young man of about 19 steps up to the stage. His hair is a dark red, and his eyes a sky-blue.

"You'll have to excuse Brynhild. She's had a distaste for demigods for a long time. Anyway, I'm Connor, senior Thor camper. If you do have questions, please ask me."

Though his face is rather Stoic,'his eyes are shining, revealing he's used to and rather amused by Brynhild's attitude.

"Who did this?" he asks, raising it above his head, holding it by the tail.

Seeing no one answer, Connor shrugs and drops the rat.

Before it has a chance to react, he carelessly crushes it with his boot.

Cadderly notices the one eyed girl watching him, and he slowly walks over, the air getting a bit colder. "Hello."
