*breaths while rolling over the floor laughing* *breaths again* In all seriousness though. As much as I like the Dutch winning something (for a change) we got no chance against Brazil. Like you said 'if they bring their A-game', but that isn't going to happen. The Dutch team imo is no team, what I've heard and read about them (okay sorry I'm not an expert but still) they don't really seem to connect with each other. Sure the players on their own might be great, but as a team it just isn't happening. It remembers me of an episode of Fairly Odd Parents where Timmy was in a famous basketball team. Honestly, I'm predicting Dutch/Brazil to be 5-0 for the Brazil team, maybe 5-1 if we're lucky.

(And while I like them to win, I like it more if those Vuvuzela's would be taken to the trash already)

For all that is holy, I sincerely hope you aren't into betting.

I'm getting good vibes..let's just not muck it up in the semi-final now...
first half had gotten me quite depressed... but I must say that ultimately the victory was deserved.

Edit: you know that the world is a small place when you live in England, and get phoned by your Italian dad from Italy, to compliment you on the Dutch team winning, and then get called by your Dutch mum with more or less the same message (also from Italy)

Shame that the match was pretty rough and the referee couldn't find his cards in the first half. Anyway, it's great that the Dutch team finally show what it's capable of.

In all honesty, this match could have gone either way, but, from a historical perspective, the Dutch deserved to win.

In the somewhat recent history Brasil-Holland on a WC was played 3 times before today: '74, '94 and '98. Holland won in '74, but that's no surprise, Dutch football governed the world in the (early) '70's.

In '98 and '94 Brasil won. Once after penalties, while during the match a 100% penalty was denied to the Dutch team. The other time the Brazilians won 3-2, where one of their goals was clearly off-side. On all occasions, Brasil-Holland has proven to be a close-matched thriller. This thime, it was Holland's time to win!

I felt sorry for Robben - he was being pummeled by the Brazilian fullbacks, although I can't really blame them seeing how good he was at keeping the ball close. Watching the game I did think some Dutch players went down a bit too easily, but that red card was most certainly deserved.

Trying to get someone yellow/red carded for something they didn't do is about as dishonorable as it gets in this game (though admittedly, that red card Brazil got was deserved).

I honestly wish I could be happier for the Dutch for such a big win.
