See, I had thought she had joined when she was 8, so it was only when I joined that she was 12-13 or something. So, I was really off due to misreading the earlier discussion about it that I stumbled onto while new and fresh-faced and not knowing anything.

Erothayce: You have no idea how relieved I am that you didn't have pink hair in that picture. Until a bit ago you eerily reminded me of this one guy whose wife I sort of know and who sort of hates me or just intensely dislikes being in my general vicinity for random-ass reasons that have never actually been aired. And he really should not have dyed his hair pink like he did since the last time you posted. phew.

I've corrupted all six of my closest friends deeper in geekery. 'Course, two of them were already into anime, one of the same also read fanfiction, liked Star Trek (reboot and old movies and TNG), and we all have our own unique geekness. However, one had only seen two Disney films (all changed) and none knew the depravity to which I would sink. I have shown all of them My Immortal. Their minds broke.

Was tempted by that, but it's one uni or the other; and English means I can do Course II which is . . . actually pretty much ASNC (Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic) now that I think about it, but without much of the Celtic. It does have Old French, High German and Archaeology and Old Icelandic, Old Norse and such though.
Yes, I'm a linguistics nerd. Plus I can learn Cornish at home, so . Latin though . . . :smallwistfulsigh:

It is a good hat. I got a couple of photos of other people wearing it, both captioned along the lines of "Now that is an excellent hat." Not that I'm in any way biased.
Also I was rather pleased when I got my instructions for what my costume should be: Black shirt & trousers, white tie, waistcoat, trilby. All things I own.

@Curly: Not much of a hangover. Maybe I'm sad that I'm no longer an incompetent mafioso. Honestly, I just took a photo of myself and was quite surprised to find out what expression I was making.
