    Description: Valente still has a fairly adolescent appearance. He has a straight nose and somewhat thin lips. His jawline is fairly strong and his chin is somewhat pointed. His eyes are very attractive with full eyelashes, and they’re coloured a reddish brown. His skin is very pale, much more than should be natural, in fact. His hair is dark, almost black. It’s a little shaggy, but grows straight. He wears it long enough that he has to push it out of his eyes. His teeth are all somewhat sharp, though it’s less obvious in his very front teeth. He also has no facial hair to speak of, and very little body hair for that matter.

    He’s fairly tall, about six feet. He’s also very scrawny; very little muscle and barely any fat worth mentioning. He is a healthy weight, however. These combined factors give him a somewhat gangly appearance. He has a tail extending down from his tailbone. It’s a rather long and thin; it would drag on the ground a if he let it. It’s quite sleek and agile, and it’s fully prehensile.

    He wears modern, mostly casual clothing, especially jeans, tee shirts, sneakers, etc. Most of what he wears is somewhat loose on him. He does have a somewhat long, brown jacket that he likes to wear whenever the weather calls for it.

    Personality: Valente is a kind person and will usually help someone in need. He's woefully inexperienced in worldly matters, and as a result, he can be a tad naive. He's hesitant in making decisions as he worries perhaps too much about what people think of him, and if he's making the right choice.

    • A carving knife.
    • A brass pocketwatch. The watch only has one hand, and the face only has three inscriptions: "You're Late for an Important Date", "Tea Time", and "Not Tea Time".

    Stash:
    • A tiki mask he carved from a black wood. It serves to contain his death, making him unable to die by normal means as long as it is intact. It doesn't have any effect on his body being harmed however. It can speak to him telepathically with the voice of his aunt Maria.

    Abilities: Valente is immune to all hostile effects that would seek to negatively affect or control his mind.

    Backstory: Valente has lead a sheltered life in Gul-Thadar. A few months prior to coming to the Nexus, he was in a car accident that would have killed him if a paramedic hadn't emergency turned him into a vampire. Since then he got a job with Ramiro, and when the opportunity to come to the Nexus came up he took it.

    Miscellaneous: Valente's death has been separated from him. He is unable to die by normal means, though his body can still be injured and destroyed.

    Valente's mother is named Piera and his father Marco.

    Description: Tall, light-haired man, with broad shoulders and an upright stance. Neat, well-trimmed, dirty-blonde hair and dark blue eyes. A curved scar on the upper part of his left arm (not usually visible, but a way of identifying him I suppose).
    Personality: Manipulative, scheming, but generally friendly. Goal-oriented but non-obsessive. A decent leader and manager of resources where he is from, and quickly adaptive to being out of his element. Occasionally superior, even arrogant. Gives talking and action equal value, depending on the situation.
    Equipment: First and foremost; His magic sword, practically unbreakable (totally unbreakable by normal means), this glowing blade can smash stone and slice metal. However, despite being very clearly exceptionally sharp, this blade cannot kill. Anyone struck by this Longsword can, at best, be rendered unconcious or, if beaten brutally enough with enough heavy strikes, perhaps rendered comatose. But the blade will never take a life.
    His armour, not quite as unique or magical as his sword, but enchanted to absorb physical force, to a degree, and to change colour scheme on the whim of the owner. (Because you never know what colours you'll be fighting under tomorrow). Of note: the armour is obviously face-concealing.
    Many different outfits, shoes, shirts and the like, for various occasions or desired appearances.
    A simple, iron dagger, looted off of something or other, always worn on his belt.
    Abilities: Limited mental abilities; Limited in that they are almost completely internal, only working as a mental defense, or to pick up extremely obvious or powerful thoughts and emotions. Your mind is safe, unless it enters his.
    A spirit of desire, trapped in his right hand, allowing him to use the spirit's magic, as long as the use is fueled by his desire for something. (Most common use: Summoning his weapons or armour from wherever they are to him with the click of a finger, but also usable for more interesting magical applications. Almost completely useless offensively or defensively in a fight)
    Greatly enhanced physical abilities, stronger and faster than the average human should be.

    Description: Hero is your stereotypical 8-bit hero, except now he's in FULL 3D! He's blocky, with a large square head and body, bright blue eyes, spiky brown hair, and blue clothes. He's made out of 3D pixels, so he looks almost like a statue made out of colored bricks. He’s about 6’0” tall.

    Powers: Anything you might expect from an 8-bit videogame. He can jump exceedingly high, instantly heal by touching food, hold a near infinite amount of objects, return from the dead, etc. He has three hit points, but every attack, strong or weak, does one health point worth of damage to him, so he can survive attacks that would baste a normal person.

    Equipment: Hero has a blocky, pixelated sword that pushes anyone it hits a few feet back. He also has a small shield, and five extra lives.

    Story: Hero lived a mediocre life as a commoner until Princess Sarah was kidnapped by the evil knight Sir Stain. Of course, Hero set off to rescue her. After travelling through seven contrived and themed dungeons, he reached the final dungeon and fought Sir Stain. On the verge of defeat, Stain created a portal to another world and pushed Hero through. When Hero tumbled out the other side, he found himself in the Nexus.

    Personality: Brinika is a rather exuberant child, quite enthusiastic about life in general, and easily excited. She's very curious and nosy, and can be relentlessly inquisitive when something catches her attention - which tends not to last long, as her attention span is notoriously short. However, she's easily intimidated and scared by things she recognizes as dangerous.
    Equipment: Two items of consequence are:
    • Caretaker, one of the last GLoG drones. He was programmed to obey and protect Brinika.
    • A goblin doll she named Bika. It's a gift from Mother Eve and will speak if given some food.

    Abilities: Brinika is talented at music and very bright overall, picking up new things easily.
    More importantly, however, she has divine powers by the virtue of being the Maiden aspect of Mother Eve. She has powers related to purity and innocence, music and manipulation of earth and darkness. However, she hasn't begun to understand and develop them yet.

    Alias:Probably a lot, but what kind of friend would I be if I just went and told all of you about them?

    Species: Goblin

    Class: Originally, a thief. Since coming into his own enough to afford the materials for study, primarily a wizard and mad scientist, though he hasn't forgotten his stealthy old tricks, by any means.

    Power Rating: Around a C+, generally; up to a B or so with planning; anywhere from E- to S when in periods of psychological trauma/shock.

    Description: To most humans, Skugdim would look like any other goblin, though perhaps with a somewhat, shall we say, "distinctive" sense of fashion; Skugdim typically dresses in a finely-tailored black-and-white suit with a thin necktie and flamboyantly green (even against his skin) handerchief in its pocket, however, he wears well-worn black boots (with red laces on his right foot and green on his left), even with the otherwise formal outfit. His hair is usually nicely trimmed and neatly arranged, usually somewhere between a pompadour and being slicked back, in any case with a noteable widow's-peak, as is typical of a goblin. Skugdim sleeps rather poorly and, accordingly, the green of his skin darkens towards a midnight blue around his eyes, and fatigue has sunken his cheeks such that his pronounced cheekbones protrude even more. Skugdim chainsmokes, and is essentially only seen without a cigarette on special occasions, when he smokes a cigar.

    Personality: Somewhere behind the crazy, the malicious, the sociopathic, the et ceteras, Skugdim is a charming, occasionally even courteuos, fellow. Deep down, one could argue that he is a basically good guy who, through a multiverse largely filled with prejudice, personal adversity, and that sort of distillation of qualities which comes from long periods of loneliness have soured and bent into the misshapen thing he is today. Half-mad in his lucid periods, with more knowledge at his behest even than his brilliant mind can hold, Skugdim is consumed with paranoid distrust and deep-seated derision for most any sort of society, however, there are some things (animals, small children, the heartbroken) for whom he feels great empathy and care, though the lengths he will go to defend them often hide his soft side beneath his familiar, destructive shell. His madness, in all of its forms, hasn't detracted from the brilliance which brought it about, and even in his most disjointed of conversations, cleverness and intellectual acuity shine through.

    Equipment: Skugdim is a very capable archer, and has a wide collection of bows which, through both magic and science, he is continually refining. He does not wear armour, for those unsafe enough to need it will, in his experience, gain no benefit from its meagre "protections." He carries two heavily enchanted kukri knives of a durable, lightweight alloy of a reflective, dark-blue colour. Otherwise, there is a curious-looking ring in his left ear. Beyond that, he somehow manages to rapidly assemble laboratories wherever he finds himself, though precisely how this is done is unknown.

    Abilities: A capable caster and scientist, Skugdim's main strength relies in the clever tactics and complex machinations learned in his time as a more mundane criminal; more than his myriad of potent (though unremarkable) tools, Skugdim's most terrifying ability is the brain with which he uses them.

    Backstory: Has anybody ever told you "None of your business?" If not, let a paranoid Goblin be the first.

    Power Rating: On the DnD 3.5 CR level...he'd probably be about a seven.
    Description: Davitte has deep navy blue skin with soft scales showing up here and there, especially along his spine and well-muscled belly. For a yuan-ti, he is surprisingly good looking to mammalian humanoids, with his broad forehead, strong chin, and smooth face. His eyes are angled and reflective, with almost no color to the iris (though the reflective qualities cause it to sometimes have a silvery prismatic sheen, like a good pearl). He has no hair, but he does have some dark blue feathers extending from the back of his head that are loose enough to look like hair. Little glowing blue spots run up and down the side of his body and leave a glowing mist, and his tongue and breath glow neon blue. He likes to wear dark brown and black rags that he ties tightly over his body so that none of his skin is showing and binds them to himself even tighter with light leather thongs. He wears a brown hooded cloak, and masks his face with more rags, covering up his eyes with black lensed goggles. He's tall, lithe, and lightly muscled and has small, thin membraned frills around the backs of his ear holes that move around to amplify sound. His tongue is forked, and can swell up and launch his fast acting venom a surprising distance.
    Personality: Pragmatic, constantly worried, jealous, quick to make friends and enemies, and even quicker to fight for or kill them. Enjoys knowing more than his enemies if he can, and likes to drink. Believes strongly in putting fun and meeting new people above all else, and isn't one to settle down for long. Becomes sort of an ass when in combat or doing business. He has no qualms against eating or capturing those who attack him, but is protective of children, loves to tell stories, and feels horrible about what he does sometimes. If it wasn't for his tribe's and his own survival, he wouldn't be doing a lot of the things he does.
    Equipment: Two buckler shields strapped to his arms and two curved long knives with bladed pommels. The knives are bladed on both sides at the tip, but the lower half of the back is blunt and meant for blocking. He carries around several scrolls and maps and other things, and has a belt of daggers and a hand crossbow.
    Abilities: The yuan-ti pureblood abilities, plus some low level wizard spells and the ability to spit his paralyzing venom at enemies as a contact poison.
    Backstory: Davitte is a spy for a contingent of Yuan-Ti that was lost underground centuries ago, but still carries out it's mission of mapping underground. He doesn't know it, but the group was killed off by drow scouts almost as soon as he left to map out his assigned area ten years ago. Over the last ten years, he has grown to love the fact his job lets him do pretty much whatever he wants, since he has a life time to do it. More to be added later.

    Description: Like others of his kind, he has humanoid form, but hunches over a bit and reaches a height of about 16 feet, with a stocky and wide body. He for the most part made of hard rock, but has growths of huge, luminescent, and sharp quartz-like navy blue crystals protruding from his knuckles, shoulders, forehead, and back. His facial features are crude and seem etched into his stone head, his eyes aren't even a different color than the rest of his body and he lacks eyelids.
    Equipment: Nothing. Nudity is not a problem.
    Abilities: He can speak common/English relatively well, and leads his clan of giants. And... can... smash... stuff?
    Backstory: He was born in and has lived in the Underside for most of his long, looong "life". Once he reached the good age of around 1,000 or so, Grogorg became leader of his clan of giants due to seniority. He decided to try some new things, and joined the Undercity. Soon his clan of giants hollowed and shaped a garden of crystals in a stalagmite, and became one of the noble houses. And... that's that.

    Power Rating: Dunno yet. I'm going to say 'fairly powerful', but I might be wrong.

    Description: Mr. Sirtch is not a pretty man. Several thousand years of hellfire has done a number on his formerly angelic skin, and there's not even the slightest trace of his old wings left. He does, however, have a pretty nice suit, and a jolly grin permanently burnt into his face now that his lips and cheeks are all gone.

    Personality: Though he's got a long reputation for being a terrible, awful, disgusting person, Mr. Sirtch is trying hard, very hard to make up for all of that. He might be ugly on the outside, but he's trying his best to be an absolute angel on the inside.

    Equipment: A suitcase, a snazzy suit, and a spiffy-looking fedora. We'll see what's in the suitcase later, I suppose.

    Abilities: Beyond smelling like brimstone, I'm still undecided. We'll find out as I play him.

    Backstory: Mr. Sirtch, in his own words, "goofed up really bad, a long, long time ago". After a conflict with Gabe and the others in his department, he was fired from his office, and stuck with a nasty little dead-end job in some loathsome pit in the ground. After more than six thousand, six hundred, and sixty-six years of this sort of work, he's finally returned, to try to negotiate a new settlement with his old employer, and convince everyone he's changed, for the better.

It feels so good to finally be able to put my thoughts down somewhere again, to have thoughts other than pain and desire for vengeance and hunger for the flesh and souls of helpless mortals! Goodness, I just feel so fantastic I want to wrap my arm’s around some mortal’s throat and squeeze until he-

    Anyways, I’m sorry about that, diary. I guess I’ve still got quite a road ahead of me before I’ve redeemed myself in the Deus-Man’s eyes, huh? Yep, it’s quite a long, bumpy, exciting road. Everybody’s already saying “Lightbringer? Nah, he won’t last five minutes out in the Nexus before he beheads some little girl’s kitten and pins it on her neighbor Bobby and sends her off on a roaring rampage of revenge.”
    No seriously diary, someone said that. They said every last insensitive, heart-wrenching, demoralizing word, just like that. It’s kinda hurtful and disappointing to hear what the seraphs and cherubim and everyone up there thinks of me…but I’m determined to prove them wrong! Yeah, no more Mr. Not-So-Nice-Guy! This leopard’s going to change his spots, claim his halo, and maybe even climb all the way back to his old job as G-Man’s number two guy someday!
    For now though, I’ve gotta think small. I have to stick by this plan, have to figure out how I’m gonna resist temptation and get my act together. Thanks to the marvels of mortal technology, I have this nifty lightning-box to carve and save messages, but mortal technology’s only going to get me so far and-Whoa, what’s this MagSat thing?
    …The mortals have lightning-boxes in space now?! And they have eyes, and I can pay a monthly fee in mortal currency to see pictures taken from this lightning-box’s eye? Wow, my redemption officer never mentioned this when he gave me that tour. This is…this is amazing, diary. To think, these guys were carving ten laws into a lump of rock only a few millennia ago…Mortals are capable of extraordinary things when not being led astray to sin, diary! Hey, there’s a Maggypedia here with all sorts of information, too! I’m going to go look it over for a few minutes.

    Man, did I ever lose track of time, diary! I am sooooo sorry for that! You just wouldn’t BELIEVE all the information mortals have lying around on this “Magnet” thing. Apocalypse records, political archives, mortal organizations with crazy acronym names…it’s just ridiculous how much information the mortals have to share with each other! And anyone can edit this stuff, too! I have no idea how they keep people from just making things up on it!
    Anyways, I found out from Maggypedia that there’s this place called ‘GLoG.’ It’s one of those acronyms, the name stands for Good League of Good. They do healing, apocalypse aid, lodgings for the sick and destitute, and here’s the big one…REDEMPTIONS! I am so lucky, diary! I mean, I don’t want to sound cocky or anything, but if gambling weren’t a vice, I’d bet you my entire allowance of mortal monies that the Trinity Boss-Man is totally smiling down on me right now. We’re heading to GLoG right now, you and I, and with the help of those mortals, these are going to beat this redemption thing, you hear me diary? We’re going to win!

    Race/Species: Sinsyi, an underground race.

    Class/Profession: Brawler/Miner.

    Description: Her skin is an aquamarine colour, and is soft and smooth. Her eyes are a golden colour, and she has long dark brown hair. As all the Sinsyi, she has strange, thin prehensile tentacle-like appendages just under her ears.

    Equipment: Glow-crystal mining equipment. Glow crystal is one of the hardest substances in the underground, and as such her hard-hat helmet can take many blows before cracking, at least as many as a decent suit of armour, despite being notably lighter. Her drill-arm, due to similar toughness, will find it to be no hard task to mine most other materials. Her boots are weighted at the bottoms, however, and cause her to stomp around, but keep her firmly planted on her feet during underground tremors.
    Abilities: Without her equipment aiding her defense and strength, Shy'anni is little more than a brawler, however good she might be at the art of fight fighting and improvised weapons. This is mostly due to her love of going to the pub after work and getting drunk.
    Backstory: Shy'anni is a proud member of the Undercity Miners Guild. Aside from her notable success in the mining field, there was little to say about her before this moment in her life. She was raised by her father, a man very much alike to her in personality, and learnt the joy of a good melee. However, she is still efficient at her work, and managed to become a worthy addition to the Miners Guild through her perseverance. Like all miners, she became fairly popular with the common man, due to her habit of visiting the pubs on her days off - and that's pretty much where we found her before her first in-character appearance.

    Description: Charles is a tall Caucasian man, with a thin frame. His face is similar to his body, long and thin. He has messy brown hair, and greying stubble. His brown eyes reflect dark personality. He wears a long (down to his knees), brown, dirty trenchcoat, over an old grey shirt, and dirty grey trousers. While he's outside he wears a brown fedora.
    Personality: Charles is a whole number of things. He's hardy and tough. He's also easily angered. Empathy and showing his emotions aren't strong points for Charles; he's usually very stoic. He tries to be a good person, but his cynicism and apathy lets him down. Charles will rarely pass up on a free be, especially if it's food. He's often hungry and almost always poor.
    Equipment: An old service revolver with an old leather flap holster worn around his waist, a harmonica and 18 rounds of ammunition. Despite the service revolver being quite old, it still is quite accurate with good stopping power.
    Abilities: Charles is ridiculously tough. His bones are unusually hard and strong, making them almost impossible to break. Because of this, he can withstand punishment that would kill others. He's strong and fast, making him a formidable opponent in the melee. He's also a skilled unarmed fighter and a good shot with his revolver, but he doesn't use it very much.
    Backstory: Charles is an old soldier, a veteran of many battles. Unfortunately, when they ended, he had trouble adjusting to normal life. Then one day, he awoke in the Nexus.

    Class/Profession: Was an ordinary guy. Now he's getting into the detective business.
    Power Level: D to D+. He's smart, decently strong, and he knows where to hit. Being pretty much desensitized to pain doesn't hurt, but at the end of the day, he's a normal guy.
    Description: Patches wears his hair short and parted on the left, not that it's the first thing you notice, but he wishes it were; the first thing you notice is that his body is more covered with scars than just about any other in Inside, just about every inch of it. His mouth is crooked, one ear is stitched to his head, one nostril is higher; his knuckles don't start in the same place they used to, he has seams like a stuffed animal. Honestly, most of his old friends would mistake him for a flesh golem or a zombie before they'd realize he was Patrick.
    Personality: Patches might have used to be a lot of things, but he was a nameless NPC then, and this is now; Patches is rather glum and grim, having been made through some sort of callous, quasi-calculated plan into a monster. His girlfriend left, his friends are more awkward silences and horrified stares of pity than support. Customers still come by his old shop, but, well, he understands if they leave their kids outside, because, you know. . . bad dreams and all. He knows a lot about bad dreams.
    Equipment:A blacksmith's hammer, a coat with a collar high enough to hide his face, and some fuzzy memories. Oh, and a lot of money.
    Abilities: Determination, and that's about it.
    Backstory: Patches was a normal NPC, a blacksmith or something like it by the look of things, before an unfortunate interlocution outside a bar, in which someone asked to borrow his "monkey suit." There were a few minutes of pain between that and someone was sewing his skin back on, leaving more gold than he thought he'd see in a lifetime as "tip."

    Her Keyblade is named "Secrets of the Deep". It was acquired when she went to the world "Atlantis". It seems to be made of a dull gray stone. The teeth at the end are somewhat rounded, and the handguard is also mostly circular. The entire thing has runes carved into it that glow a bright blue color. The keychain hanging from it is an old book with one of the runes on the cover.

    Holding this Keyblade seems to give her the ability to understand any language, spoken or written, as well as others understanding her. But, she has to be holding the Keyblade to do this.

    Not long after she went through her training, she gave up on the normal Keyblade route. It just wasn't for her. So, she took her skills and made use for them elsewhere.     Alignment: He can be a real bastard, and is a minion of a mad wizard, but is altogether not evil of his own accord. Probably a mean sort of chaotic neutral.

    Class/Profession: Minion. Decent brawler, carries a gun. Make of it what you will.

    Power Rating: Used to be a D/D+. With vamp powers, he's probably a C or something now. Not that he's very used to em.

    Description: A reedy, wiry sort of fellow. An exceptionally long face and cheekbones, with a prominent chin. Dark, typically slicked hair. Average height. Has a nice bowler hat that he wears on occasion. Also typically carries an umbrella now, given his vampiric nature.

    Personality: Decently bright, though a bit brunt and brutish in his mannerisms. He isn't good at holding grudges or killing people, despite the fact that his boss asks him to on occasion. Likes drinking. Hates that he's a vampire. Hates Jack. Hates practically everyone until they do something nice for him. Well, not exactly, but he certainly isn't a people person very often.

    Equipment: Clothes. A magic item or two. A mind-shattering handgun called Ballista. Maybe a little flask for whatever he fancies at the time.

    Abilities: Vampire. Decently skilled gunman and boxer. That's about it.

    Backstory: Jack messed with his mind and tricked him into killing a friend of his. Then offered to get rid of the body in exchange for servitude.

    Description: Underneath the armor, the Knight is a fit, handsome young man, a charming twenty something fellow with close cut brown hair, blue eyes, and a white winning smile. The armor itself is black and dark gray, resembling conventional plate mail in the gothic style. Etched into the armor are glowing symbols and designs that emit neon light.

    Personality: The Neon Knight is brave, courteous, and in every respect the perfect chivalrous gentleman and knight. Of course, being a perfect gentleman doesn't make you perfect. With a tendency to be rash, combined with a tendency to try to be as self-reliant as possible, he can end up in a lot of trouble with no one to help him out. Also, he can be a bit insensitive to someone who doesn't understand or appreciate his beliefs and point of view. He believes he should be wandering the world righting wrongs, which sometimes means poking into other people's private business.
    Equipment: His only equipment is his suit of special armor, granted to him by the spirits of the Elemental Court of Air. The armor's functions will be covered in the abilities section. The armor is made from meteoric iron, smelted by being struck by lightning and cooled by being immersed in snow form the highest mountains, after being imbued with all of the elemental known as the noble gases, most important being an infusion of solar neon.
    Abilities:

    Swordsman's Honors - The Neon Knight is an accomplished swordsman. The Knight's style is based around fighting in armor, and employs a knightly long sword, also called an arming sword. It is a flexible and balanced style, favoring neither speed nor power above the other. Although trained in the use of shields, the Knight typically fights with only his sword. The Neon Knight graduated from his sword training at the top of his class, and is proud of his status.

    Gift of Air Control - The only ability the Neon Knight has outside of his armor is a minor affinity and control over air and associated elements, like water (rain), snow, lightning, and wind. This control isn't very well developed yet, but in theory could become stronger. The Knight prefers to rely on his armor.

    Built to Resist - The Neon Knight's armor is a powerful defensive tool, capable of turning blade and bullet aside with equal ease. It takes great strength of weapons of good power to breach his armor. In addition, the armor can be sealed against hostile environments, has a minor life support system, and has a layer of defenses against magical attacks as well. Most of these defenses draw from the suit's power, however, and if the Knight becomes overextended some of these systems may lose effectiveness or functionality.

    Swiss Army Suit - The Knight's armor also has a couple of miscellaneous utility functions common to military and survivalist gear, as well as energy manipulation capabilities, minor sensor suites, and other useful subsystems.

    Neon Glow - The Knight's armor emits a neon glow constantly, emitting from the glowing lines and designs etched into the suit. It provides a constant low illumination light source, with all the benefits and drawbacks that come from that. In addition, this glow or aura of neon light might activate electric gas-discharge technology. Currently, there isn't any in the Nexus, really, but who knows, maybe my hokey silly ideas might become popular some day. =P

    ROY G. BIV or Seven Ways to Kick Evil's Ass -The color of the Neon Knight's armor can vary and change, as different noble gases and different mixtures of the noble gases can be used to achieve different colors when used in neon lightning. The color of the armor actually determines some of its abilities, each different color being a different mode, spanning the visible spectrum.

    Red: The first color. The Red mode is the fastest of the armor colors, but also the weakest. The armor becomes lighter, easier to move in, and adds to the Knight's speed. This mode produces very little energy for the general power, strength, or defensive subsystems, however. Red is the default color of the armor, and the one always available to the Knight. The basic speed form.

    Each asterisk represents a 20% increase from ordinary operating capacity.

However, the Yellow form is more fragile than the Orange form.

    Solar Edge - The Neon Knight's blade is a function of his armor, generated by transfusing solar neon in an unknown process into a blade of pure energy. The blade is mysteriously solid, and in general functions as one would assume a fictional energy sword would. The sword also receives additional energy reserves when energy is allocated to the strength function of the armor, increasing the blade's power; this is why that particular augmentation is so costly. The sword's color matches that of the armors.

    CURRENT FORMS AVAILABLE: Since the armor is currently damaged, only Red is reliably available.

    Backstory: A mysterious man who appeared basically out of nowhere, the Neon Knight is a questing hero who claims to have been empowered by the spirits of the Elemental Court of Air, in particular the Council of Noble Gasses, to champion and protect life across the multi-verse.
    Miscellaneous: The Knight enjoys quests and challenges, always seeking to do right, win honor, and protect life. He also seeks to improve himself and his armor.

    Personality: William Henry is simple and honest. Unambitious and unimaginative, William Henry is convinced that good decent labor is the secret to happiness and success. He believes that there is a dignity to manual labor not found in more thinking professions, and has utter disdain for roguish or dishonest professions.
    Equipment: The tools of labor.
    Abilities:

    Honest Work - William Henry has great stamina and strength, allowing him to perform manual labor and feats of strength more readily than your average man.

    Backstory: A country fellow who left the family cabin to seek his fortune working in the city.

    Description: A cloaker is an intelligent, underground predator resembling a flying manta ray, with a pale underbelly and a black back. Facing the back, one might mistake the cloaker for a common black cloak, the white bone spurs resembling a clasp. One would not make such a mistake from the underside, which feature a wide razor toothed mouth and a set or red eyes. The long, spinal like whip tail ends in a sharp point, and is usually curled up underneath the cloaker when imitating a cloak.
    Personality: Initially aloof and aristocratic, but also viscous, hungry, and mean spirited, but crafty and cunning. Usually casual and cruel, but can be incited to terrible fierceness.
    Equipment: N/A.
    Abilities:

    Tooth and Nail - The cloaker's bone tail and teeth can rend prey and enemies quite easily. The bone spurs can also be used as lesser weapons.

    On Black Wings - The cloaker can fly and glide on the Underwinds of the world below.

    Feeding Moan - The sound of a cloaker's hunger can be terrifying to those that might fall underneath it. The cloaker can emit a subsonic moan, which has various mental, fear inspiring effects on those who hear it.

    One with Shadows - The cloaker has a minor paranormal ability to affect shadows, being able to manipulate them to its advantage.

    Backstory: The representative of Grumman Caverns, a commune of intelligent predators who have allied to better satisfy their all demanding hunger. Secretly, the Grumman Caverns predators hope to break up the great herds called "civilization" to ensure that prey species (i.e. anything not them) are easily taken. They disguise this base desire behind surprisingly complex and nuanced schemes. The representative to Undercity is always called Grumman, and every knew representative inherits this title when he gets the position.
    Miscellaneous: Boy, the predator's union in Underside sure is militant.

    Armaments of the Royal Tea Table - A fork serves as the Knight's lance, and a breadknife as his blade. These are about as effective as their conventional, normal counterparts would be.

    Knight of the Tea Table - The Knight is a skilled cavalryman, swordsman, and lancer. Aside from this fighting skill, he doesn't seem to have any particular powers of abilities.

    Backstory: Arrived one day out of the blue. His past and history seem to be a mystery.

    Class/Profession: He calls himself a 'procurer'. Light-mage is probably the closest approximation.

    Power Rating: C or B at his best.

    Description: Humanoid. Average height. Spindly, black, essentially skeletal hands, dotted with motes and patterns of glowing white dust. The rest of his skin is probably like this too.

    His face, if once human, appears to have been replaced with a perfectly symmetrical dome of polished glass. The back of his head is still that odd, rough skin.

    Typically wears high-end gentleman's clothes with swirling symbols and patterns emblazoned upon them. All glowing white or a bright blue.

    Personality: Thoughtful. He seems to taste each word that he exchanges, a quiet and supremely satisfied way of speaking. As is so common in young people: confidence. Much confidence. He also seems quite introspective.

    Despite his alignment, he's one of those villains with standards. Most of the time.

    Equipment:

    A cane tipped with a diamond orb. It just happens to be his Focus, the object used to control his spells.

    It works good for bludgeoning, too.

    Maybe something magical. His secondary Focus is what appears to be a glass dagger containing swirling motes of light.

    Maybe some restraints designed to hold beings of power. It's his business to procure things, and those things sometimes include people.

    Abilities: He routinely uses light to destroy people. His basic attack spell blasts away a person's flesh and bones and clothes, leaving a gaping, torn corpse that has been almost entirely solidified into some glowing material or polished glass. Very clean. Very disgusting, all the same. Sparkling, bulbous alien flowers almost immediately shoot up and starting their curling growth along the corpse.

    Other magic workings, too.

    Backstory: I don't feel like coming up with something really interesting. He's a professional criminal. I'll probably make the rest up as I go along.

    Race/Species: Human. No, wait! Dragon! Or was it human? I'm pretty sure it was dragon... But if it was human...

    Alignment: Chaotic Good. As in, he does whatever he wants because he has the power and audacity to do so, but doesn't want to do evil. Also, he has a tendency to kill evil stuff. That's good, right?
    Class/Profession: Wizard
    Power Rating: He's a powerful wizard, around low 6-ish (DnD level 20 or 21) in magic power, but is entirely killable, has a limit to how much of that power he can use, and tends to stay out of fights or let the meat shields do their job. However, he can turn into a dragon.
    Description: As a dragon:
    Hey, look at this! A dragon!
    Not one of those horrible beasts you've heard so much about, but a dragon nonetheless!
    It's got a large head with a slender snout situated on a moderately short neck, is about 12 meters long not counting the long, flat tail, it's arms extend into wings that look like a cross between a bat's wings and a flying squirrel's gliding skin. The wings start at the shoulders, end at the waist, and are about twenty meters across. There's a frill at near the end of the tail that looks like it might be used for steering, and spikes...no, more like thin, curved back stegosaur plates along the dragon's spine. Two large, spiraling, ivory horns extend from the back of it's slanted, predatory eyes look strangely intelligent. The feet are long and have claws on the end, and are obviously meant for keeping balance and holding on to things rather than walking.
    The dragon's underbelly is rather like this color, the edges of it's wings are this color, most of it's back is a shiny scarab beetle color, but there are faintgreen, red, and purple vertical stripes, one of each, in that order, that get thicker and thicker until the red and purple actually touch each other and the purple extends onto the back of the neck. The spikes and tail frill are a muddy brown color, and the dragon's long, snaking tongue (which isn't forked) is a deep red color, the sign of an endothermic animal. It's chin has a number of small ivory spikes on it, and a large, light brown frill that almost looks like a beard.
    The dragon lands quietly in a clearing and looks about, grinning and showing it's long, serrated teeth.

    As a human:
    The smoke clears, and out of it steps...A WIZARD!
    He's rather tall, and though he looks pretty old, stands up straight. He wears robes the color of parchment and a wide rimmed, floppy wizard hat of a similar color, and both have ink colored stars across them that seem to have been drawn on. There is a black leather belt and a gold buckle on his hat, with a large white feather with a black tip stuck into the belt on the side.
    He has rather smooth skin, though his forehead has several lines, and his eyebrows are large, bushy, and white. They sit over a pair of small eyes that seem even smaller due to his high cheekbones and smiling lines. His nose is large and reddish, like that of an old dwarf, and his long, fluffy white beard trails all the way down to his upper thigh. He carries a long iron staff with gold wire running from the bottom to the top, where a golden dragon with wings wide open holds a battered brown spell book with an arcane looking black S on it open and in place. Peeking out from beneath his robes are a pair of black shoes with gold threading, the ends of which curl upward.
    The wizard holds out a hand and smiles.

    In either form, his voice is booming, commanding, and just a bit off, like one would expect a powerful wizard/dragon to sound.

    Personality: Hard to track. He's always got his mind busy with some magical ordeal or another, and if bothered, is likely to be grumpy at first. He loves going on adventures, though, and is likely to talk random people into going on great and heroic journeys.
    Is very insistent on using the proper terminology for magic users, and hates being referred to as anything other than a Wizard in that sense.
    At times he'll jump right into the fray if there is a fight going on, especially if his enemy is evil or misuses magic, but at other times he is content to sit back, watch, and only help when needed.
    Enjoys telling stories, and for some reason really hates cats. Loves dogs though, just adores them.

    Equipment: The Iron Staff: A powerful magic staff with a dragon on top that holds tightly on to any book place there. If the book is magic, the staff uses its power to wondrous effect.
    Hat and Quill: There's just something about that hat with the quill in it. If the quill and hat are separated, they lose power and try to pull themselves back together.
    Abilities: Powerful magic and the ability to turn into a dragon.
    Backstory: I haven't thought a good one up yet. I'm thinking of something involving a worldwide dragon community and a voyage into the outer planes.

    Description: Silas Gourd is composed of a pumpkinesque ‘head’ that contains the majority of his sensory organs; this is supported by a twisting mass of prehensile, semi-mutable vines that he has forced into a humanoid shape. He tends to clothe himself in expensive, finely tailored suits that favor earth tones.

    Personality: Although he presents himself as debonair, beneath that thin veneer of classiness lies a monster just as inhuman as his appearance would suggest. There is no act too cruel or perverse as to be taboo, no moral or ethical boundary that he won’t gladly leap across in his ongoing pursuit of power.

    Equipment: Silas chooses to leave the handling of personal weaponry to his entourage of bodyguards, as he prefers to utilize his own mutable appendages while in battle. While this is generally sufficient, he tends to supplement his natural abilities with a slew of magical trinkets hidden away amongst his vines.

    Abilities: All of Silas’ supernatural abilities are derived from his plantlike nature. His solid composition makes him stronger and more durable than a mundane human being by several magnitudes. The vines that compose the majority his body are somewhat mutable, capable of elongation and sprouting various thorns, needles and burs, as well as eventual regeneration. Silas can also produce parasitical seeds that, when implanted in a host, release a chemical cocktail that enthralls them to his will. These seeds will sprout and grow into a new Silas Gourd, complete with all of the memories of the original (but bereft of his clothes and equipment) upon the event of his death, consuming the host’s body to fuel the process.

    Weaknesses: Because fire causes him greater than normal pain and impedes the regeneration of his wounded tissues he is, naturally, severely pyrophobic as a result. The presence of fire, whether it be mundane or magical, causes him to recoil and evaluate his options for escape. The addition of fire to a conflict may prompt greater violence as he becomes more and more desperate to get away from it.

    Background: That which would eventually become Silas Gourd fell from the sky many generations ago, embedding itself in what would grow to be lush and fertile farmland. Hundreds of years would pass before this seed of evil, senseless and ignorant, was unearthed by a farmer’s plow. When the man bent to investigate, the seed cracked open and a wormlike root burrowed into the flesh of his palm. Tendrils spread quickly, climbing the skeletal lattice and gorging on flesh and blood before bursting free of the skin, leaving shattered bones in their wake. Wane and weakened by its violent autogenesis, a newly-enlightened predator reconfigured itself into a rough approximation of its recent meal and began to gorge itself on the livestock of the farm, finding the sweetest meats on the bones of the farmer’s family. Both sated and strengthened by his gristly feast, Silas Gourd donned the farmer’s Sunday best and strode towards the city, his recently expanded consciousness busily exploring the possibility of greatly extended horizons. Since then he has successfully created a small but profitably efficient criminal empire that deals primarily in the sale of black market goods and pleasures of the flesh. He hopes to have his vines in a little bit of everything before too long and he often fantasizes of becoming the city’s King of Crime, although he knows that the competition for that coveted title is quite a bit more fierce than most.

    Miscellaneous: Silas operates out of the Golden Goose, a mixture of casino, bar and resteraunt located in Riverside's northern district. After midnight, the Golden Goose becomes the Golden Calf and caters to an exclusively criminal clientele by offering (in addition) black market auctions in the basement and a bordello on the second floor. He is assisted most closely in his various endeavors by Quirk and Foible, his twin half-orc bodyguards and by Sheila, his half-elf personal secretary.

    Personality: Harnel is distrustful of things he doesn't understand, and tends to tense up an unfortunate amount, which can sometimes cause him to be a bit surly. Once he warms up to something, or has his mind taken off it (such as with food) he becomes quite a bit more personable and easier to deal with. He also never goes anywhere without his sword, though his armor he could do without if need be. Always within reach. Yes, even then.

    Around those he trusts, Harnel is much friendlier. He'll drink with them, share stories about his life, and even hit on women, but it takes quite a bit to reach this point properly with him. He is also a very driven individual. once he has set his mind on a course of action, he will see it through until it becomes apparent that he can no longer continue or he has accomplished what he has set out to do, but he will not shrink away from aid in these endeavors.

    He has a deep seated fear that he will never be loved. this is mainly because in the world he's from Half-dragons are things to be reviled and feared, sometimes even killed outright. It's the reason for much of psychology.
    Equipment: He has his armor, his sword, and a pouch full of silver and gold coins, and a locket with a portrait of his mother in it. Not much else, except for the clothes he wears under his armor, which just consists of a cotton shirt and leather pants. His sword is worth of note as a piece of magical equipment, magically sharpened and capable of bursting into flame at a command

    EDIT: He lost his sword and armor, but was given a Thunder Hammer to make up the difference

    He now wears a blue tee-shirt, a heavy black leather jacket, and brown fatigue pants. On his waist is an attachment to his belt - a harness that can support his thunder hammer, which is sitting sideways across his back so that it's only a small distance away from his hands if he needs to grab it. He also recently bought a Particle Magnum, an invincibility shield, and an Ori staff. He's quite well equipped now, except for armor.

    EDIT 2: which he now has! Iggy made an outfit of remarkable armor for him that even covers his feet and tail, covering his entire body with interlocking plates made of a blueish silver metal the maker of the armor calls "Iggium". Because of the properties of the armor and how it was made, it has similar properties to Adamantine while still being much shinier

    Abilities: For the most part, he just has excellent sword skills. However, his draconic heritage lends him very prodigious strength, a hearty constitution, and a level of intelligence that, while nothing amazing, is well above average. He is also comfortable even in the hottest environments, due to his immunity to fire, and even if dunked in lava will come out unscathed. Lava, by the way, makes an excellent way to bathe, as it sears off all the excess grime. then you just need to wash off the bits of solidifying igneous rock.
    Backstory: Too long to type out. Suffice it to say, he's a DnD character that had a long and eventful campaign behind him

    Half-Dragons: How do they work?

    my mind is somewhat analytical - I break down how things work in order to get a better understanding of them. I also happen to like Half-dragons, so it helps me understand how they work. This is what I have at this point. For the sake of simplicity, we'll be using a humanoid as the base.

    Appearance and Physical Traits:

    Half-Dragons are surprisingly similar to their non-dragon parent. it's comparable to simply have a normal being and just adding dragon parts if you want the proper effect.

    In any case, the half-dragon will almost certainly be covered in scales, have sharp claws and teeth, and slitted eyes, but the rest is unique to that particular one. An individual might have have a human-like head, while a sibling could have a head more akin to that of a dragons. The most likely body parts to be different from the base are extremities such as hands and feet, the head, a tail, and wings, though other changes may be present.

    There are also less visible differences inherent to half-dragons. The first is vocal range; if they inherited vocal chords from their draconic parent rather than their non-draconic one, they will have a very wide range of tones, and will be capable of mimicking most voices they wish except for extremely low or extremely high pitch. Another is the Eyelids; True dragons have several sets of eyelids, usually three, each one thicker than the last. Half-Dragons only have two sets - one semi-clear one that cuts off the glow of the eyes from within and protects the eye while in the air or underwater, while the second is much like a human eyelid. when both are peeled back, too much light will hurt a half-dragon's eyes, but it allows them to see a great distance in the dark, even in pitch black conditions.

    Another difference is the Draconis Fundamentum, which is likely the single most important organ in a dragon's body. attached to the lungs and heart, it also affects the stomach. It's an elemental furnace, based on the dragon's element; it can secrete elemental energy into the lungs for the dragon to breathe out. By adjusting the stomach, the roiling elemental energy breaks down almost any sort of matter the dragon wishes to feed on, allowing the dragon to subsist and nearly anything, organic or not. A dragon could literally eat dirt and survive as healthy as they might be if they were eating sheep. the Draconis Fundamanetum extracts the energy gotten in this way from the stomach and moves it to the heart, where it can be spread to the rest of the body - the remins of whatever was eaten are what the dragon urinate and defecate. Despite this, a dragon can run on what they eat normally if for some reason the Draconis Fundamentum is impaired - they will be forced to eat reasonable food rather than things like rock, and they'll be unable to breathe their elemental energy, and won't be capable of flight.

    This organ also allows fire and electricity dragons to internalize energy from their environment - a fire dragon resting in a volcano will be capable of internalizing the heat coming from the magma in their home. This can make dragons seem hyper if they internalize too much energy, but it also means the dragon won't have to eat as much.

    the final difference is that many Half-dragons have a genital sheathe. Nothing more on the matter will be said.

    Also, remember that Half-dragons are Half another race as well. If that race can develop mammary glands, so can the half-dragon, even if they can't be used because of inappropriate other parts

    Half-dragons are a great deal stronger than their non-dragon counterparts, and at peak condition can lift more than a ton without too much strain. Because of their link to dragons, which are arcane beings, many also have magic as a sorcerer, getting such magic directly from the source. this isn't always the case, but it's certainly very common.

    Birth, Life, and Death:

    A Half-dragon's birth depends on the mother - if the mother is a creature that gives birth live children, the half-dragon will be born as such as well. if the mother is the dragon, then the Half-dragon will hatch from an egg.

    Half-dragons age at the same rate that humans do until they reach somewhere around the age of twenty, though some may fluctuate more than others for exactly when their aging process slows down. after that point, they age at a rate of 1:5, meaning many human half-dragons will live to see their fourth century if nothing kills them before then.

    Half-dragons share the genome of their dragon parent, which is the reason thy look so much like their non-dragon parent. what changes them to be like a dragon is the essence that gets transferred from the draconic parent. It adjusts the baby in the womb when it would otherwise be a normal creature of the non-dragon race. If this is understood, it can be a simple matter for a dragon to keep that essence from affecting an unborn child, using magic, though most either don't understand that or don't bother.

    Equipment: Her wardrobe consists of modest and secondhand dresses, and she also carries around a large and cream-colored parasol. She also has a fine spider-silk midnight blue dress.
    Abilities: She can clean stuff and cook things if needed, though she is not a master at either thing. Apart from that, she barely has any education besides knowing how to read and write.

    Her vampire abilities and weaknesses can best be explained with a lengthy quote from Dracula, though there are a good deal of differences. She does not have a coffin yet, for one, her powers are definitely not as well developed or entirely under her control, and she is, like her sire, rather... flammable in the sun.

    Backstory: Olivia was born as a human in the Nexus and grew up in a poor family in the Red Zone. She didn't go to school, but learned to help out around the house and was at least taught to read and write along with basic arithmetic. She survived many of the calamities that have plagued Inside periodically, except for the vampire attacks. Well, she actually survived most of it, and was only turned after the majority of the threat was long gone. A mistake on her part, thinking the danger was gone, that it was safe to investigate a flapping noise outside her window...
    Once awaking as a vampire, she went on a biting spree, though used what little leverage her mind had behind the bloodlust to not actually kill or turn anyone. She was a danger, though, and quickly subdued and sent off to GLoG for 'redemption'. We'll see how that goes...

Indeed, all her clothing fits this. She generally wears an ornate brooch made out of some golden metal, with a large, black gemstone set in the center.
    Equipment and Abilities: As a Solar Exalted, Idari has a number of abilities that could be considered... superhuman. In her case, these mostly focus around social abilities, with her being a very charismatic and persuasive speaker even without her Exaltation. She is also experienced in the Mantis Style of supernatural martial arts. As an Eclipse Caste, she is also able to 'bind' promises, invoking Heaven itself as a witness to the deal, in which case anyone who breaks the terms of the agreement is under Heaven's curse. There are very few ways around this- even a god would suffer from breaking a Witnessed oath.

After that, his mind and soul were slowly devoured, until he had nothing left but the worst aspects of his personality. He's a narcissistic, selfish, greedy bastard, no matter how he acts, and can't really restrain himself. He's also terrible at evil schemes, as he has a bad habit of not thinking things through then panicking when they inevitably go wrong.

    Abilities: Mercury is a powerful illusionist and enchanter, and reasonably good with other types of magic. Thanks to his Daemon, he can draw upon virtually unlimited reserves of magic, but the amount he can use without going insane is pretty small, so he mainly uses wands and other such devices instead of his own powers.

    Backstory: Mercury was born on a world were magic was granted by contracts with Daemons, magic elementals that feed on emotions. When he was twelve, Mercury made a deal with a Daemon in order to join his nations magical elite, who ruled over those without magic. As it turns out, Mercury was just talented enough to be good at magic, but not talented enough to be eaten by his Daemon, and he graduated from academy as the best and only surviving member of his class. Sadly, he rose through the ranks of magery a little to fast, and his rivals implemented a scheme that ended with him escaping into the Nexus. After that, he completely lost control of his Daemon, and was forced to go into hiding. Recently, he gave most of his magic powers to his archenemy Maxios so that he could blackmail him, leaving him struggling to cast anything stronger than a cantrip.

    Age: Equivalent of 20, but his kin don't actually measure time concerning their own ages. I mean, it should be obvious to oneself when your going to die without needing some sort of number.
    Alignment: Hopes he's a good guy, but thinks far too philosophically on this question to decide. Seriously though, he's a good guy.
    Class/Profession: Effing genius, that's what! So what if he doesn't know what his latest invention does! So...er...I guess he's a technowizard type person.
    Power Rating: Probably about a 3. As easy to kill as a normal person, but has some magical skill and a lot of technological help. Plus, being Aos Si, if you kill him, he is just sent back to the Otherworld and lives out his life there before being reincarnated back on this world. Closer to a 4 now.
    Description: Around five foot nine, with long, platinum silvery goldish blonde hair held back in a gamer's ponytail and a thick goatee to distinguish him from the other races of elves everyone makes fun of. His irises look like they are made from molten mercury, and he constantly has a smell like oil, iodine, and ozone around him, like someone who's been working in a machine shop or near a generator, though when he showers really well the smell is washed off and his natural smell (which has been likened to fresh spring grass and rain) comes out. When he feels strong emotions, his entire eye becomes that mercury color and glows. His skin is pale, but not creepily or sickly so. His ears are short but pointed and angular, and has a strong jaw and shoulders and is well if wirey muscled despite his skinny frame. Usually wears jeans, black converse high top sneakers, and a t-shirt, but he also has a few hats and jackets he's rather fond of. He has a pair of deep blue thick rimmed sports goggles he usually wears around his neck, and always carries around his black laptop bag. Looks rather young. Has intricate tattoos of smooth, swirling rainclouds and intertwined and elegant gears on his upper arms that he taps into for power

    Phil's eyes are now a deep grey-green and have three pupils, a normal one, a slit pupil, and a wavy w pupil like a cuttlefish. Along his spine, or perhaps replacing it, is an almost arm-thick dull silver cable that curves just perfectly with the spine and has some thin bands of a glowing blue material going across it vertically revealed by open sections every few centimeters. The spine-cable sticks just barely out of Phil's back, but tapers down and recedes at the base of his skill and the top of his pelvis. Similar smaller cables lead down the outsides of his arms and the front of his legs, tapering down beneath the elbows and knees and coming back out on the forearms and shins.
    Just barely visible within Phil's calves are the aged bronze colored toroid springs, merging just perfectly with the triceps surae, muscle and machine pulsing beneath the now oddly blue-gray toned skin that could pass as normal under a cursory inspection if it weren't for the gently glowing blue material running along the inside of Phil's skin like perfectly measured out and placed wiring, connecting the strange spine-cable to other important bits and to alien looking black metal circles located on the outsides of major joints and nervous centers (aside from the head). A white glow emanates from his chest.

    Personality: Wants to be nice and well liked, but is snarkish, weird, quick to correct others or argue, selfish, hateful, misanthropic, out of it, or bored a lot. Prefers animals and machines to people because they're easier to control and quicker to forgive and forget. Quick to apologize. Likes the rain. Rather smart, and offhandedly drops off fun facts and lines from old stories or poetry. Cannot stand people who are just stupid. Less intelligent, yes. Stupid? Hell no. Narcissistic, often apathetic. Hates Macs.
    Equipment: His laptop bag, homemade computer, and whatever inventions he decided to bring with him. Spare parts and broken machines always seem to be nearby for him...
    Abilities: Can sort of talk to machines and inanimate objects and give them life and sentience, however brief. Moderately skilled in magic, and great with computers and other bits and pieces of technology and machinery. Pretty good with a gun. Can 'summon' spare parts, whether through magic or his uncanny ability to just have them there when he needs them. Being Aos Si, he can make it rain, hut usually doesn't unless he has permission from those around him because he doesn't want to alienate people who don't like the rain. He can apply tattoos to people that give them powers or enhance their preexisting powers.

    His flesh can return up to 40 percent of the force it receives and repairs itself via nanobots. He can see in several different wavelengths and the polarization of light. He has radio plasma jets that allow him to fly a short distance above the ground, he can jump extremely far thanks to the toroids in his calves, and his strength has more than tripled. He's still experimenting with adding more features.

    Backstory: Like all the Aos Si not in the Otherworld, he was a gift to a deserving human family that aged to keep up with his family until he reached his current age, then became the slowly aging being he is now. His childhood was friendly and accepting, and his attitude isn't caused by any sort of childhood trauma but rather by his own constant hate of not being better than everyone at everything and self deprecation. He found out about his powers early on, and has always tried to use them to make the next must have invention, but always got sidetracked.
    When I first got on this site, he hung out around HALO for a while to study philosophy under a dragon living there, but was attacked by a barghest.

    Description: Riv is average height, slightly skinny, and none to pretty, although not really ugly. He's also badly crippled, lacking an arm, and although he can walk just fine, jumping is hard for him. He wears a combination labcoat and duster, usually in tatters, over his body armor, as well as a utility belt and hobnail boots.

    Personality: Riv isn't exactly stable. He alternates between being lethargic and unpleasant, to acting like a hamster on speed, the second generally when he's committing some kind of crime. He's also a self described egomaniac psychopath with anger management issues and a tendency to over-react to even the slightest perceived insults. He can however stop brutally murdering people enough to be actually competent once in a while.

    Equipment: He has a rather nice Kevlar vest that generates both a personal shield, and a light distortion field that bounces lasers away and makes it hard to hit him, a laser rifle which he doesn't use as he would need two arms to fire the darn thing, and an anti-teleport zone generator left over from his mad SCIENCE! days. More recently, he's picked up a supernaturally accurate hand cannon, an electrified katana, and several poison gas grenades of his own design.

    Backstory: Riv was a side effect of an experiment into time travel by Dr. Conrad, resulting in the creation of several alternate copies of Conrad, among which was Riv. Conrad used the timeclones as test subjects, leaving most of them insane and psychopathic, including Riv, who was, sad to say, among the sanest. Riv was later released, and wandered for a time before entering the Nexus, where he promptly grafted an Eldritch Evil's appendix to his arm, and completely lost it. After accidentally (or so he claims) killing a teenager, he went to GLoG in an attempt at redemption. Didn't go so well, and he lost an arm, his mad SCIENCE! powers, and suffered from brain damage. He later sold his memory to become the ultimate doctor, realized he was useless in a world of healing potions, and went back to being a villain.

    Description: Standing at just over seven feet tall, weighing 220 pounds of pure muscle, Princess Sunflower is somewhat small for a half-giant. She wears her dark brown hair done up in the latest styles and highlights her deep brown eyes with exotic cosmetics, generally applied just a little too heavily to be attractive. She dresses in rich robes of crimson and gold, adorning her hair with topazes and red desert jasper. She also wears a heavy gold signet ring, set with a large carnelian carved with a stylized sunflower and the ignan letter S.
    Personality: She is intelligent but straightforward, preferring to use her muscles over her brains. She is cautious, and carefully sizes up opportunites and risks before entering a situation. And while she tries to be both noble and friendly, she generally comes off as insecure and somehow... off.
    Equipment: She has a chainmail shirt she wears as a nightdress, painted with sleeping red dragons, but otherwise doesn't wear armor. She favors silk robes, when she can afford them, or linen when she can't, and is almost always more heavily dressed than the weather seems to require. Beyond a few small personal items, and some rather cheap jewelry, her prized possession is a large crystalline guisarme that glitters a deep clear orange.
    Abilities: She's a fighter; she fights. Mostly she tries to keep enemies away from her, or from the person she's guarding, using the reach of her weapon to her advantage. She's also mastered the ancient half-giant trick of changing her size, able to become smaller or larger with a thought.
    Backstory: (What she says:) She was the only daughter of the King of the Deep Desert, and enjoyed a life of luxury and ease, until a band of infiltrators overthrew her kingdom. The nomad tribes splintered and turned to their own leaders, leaving the deposed king and his family on their own. Forced to make her own way in the world, she fought for her life until fighting became her life. She moved on, and on, and on again, always searching for a way to restore her kingdom to its former glory. Finally she moved all the way to Nexus.

    Her nomadic family was large and influential, but they specialized in smuggling and were known for their swiftness of delivery and ruthlessness in business dealings, not their nobility. Her daddy did call her "princess" when he tucked her in at night, so she figures that's close enough when dealing with the wetlanders. She was guarding various desert-running smuggling operations from the time she could hold a spear, and had her own small band of runners in her late teens. Her parents encouraged the development of her blossoming psychic talent towards improving her fighting abilities, recognizing her value as a fighter.
    In her mid-twenties, while searching out a new route through a dangerous stretch of wasteland, she discovered a group of half-giants living a strange communal life. They greeted her warmly and offered her food, shelter and rest. She stayed in the commune for several days, learning about their ideals and how their society of psychics worked. Eventually they offered her a permanent place where she could live and enhance her psychic powers. She considered turning them down, but was swayed by an attractive green-eyed young man, and lived with them for almost two years.
    In the end, things didn't work out with the young man, and she left somewhat hastily with his life savings of raw deep crystal. She had planned on returning to her family tribe, but first spent some time searching out a crystalsmith who could turn her stash into a large guisarme. Delighted with her new weapon, she found mercenary jobs plentiful and well-paying, and sent word to her family that she'd be developing a branch of the buisness in the wetlands. She had a signet ring and "heirloom jewelry" crafted, and delights in buying expensive clothing. (Even her working outfits, while sturdy and dull-colored, are lined with fine silk.)

    Description: 5ft 6ins tall, slim build, maybe 180lbs at most. Short scruffy red hair, a few freckles but not many. Caucasian male. Black leather jacket, black leather shoes, plain white shirt always undone at the top two buttons, black trousers, and the same silver watch.

    Personality: Calm and collected... most of the time. Don't harm children around him. Children are off limits... ALWAYS. Doesn't take kindly to being asked too many questions, but he knows how to handle a joke. Got a little bit of a prankster in him.
    Equipment: A large assortment of guns, varies from time to time, but usually contains the following -
    • x2 Desert Eagle custom-mod Machine gun pistols (outfitted with explosive rounds, hollowpoint bullets or fragmentation rounds)
    • x1 Daito MKIII Shotgun
    • x1 McKallen "Roomsweeper" Assault Rifle
    • x1 Grenade Launcher

    Sparky has a unique metal secondary-skeletal structure as a result of a car accident, this can extend above the skin to provide the following -
    • x2 30cm blades extending from the wrists over the top of the fist
    • A bladed suit of Chromatanium body armour that adheres to the skin. Known as ARMOR
    • A more advanced bladed suit of BlackChromatanium body armour with wings.

    Also posseses a MKV teleporter, capable of teleporting long distances, or short distances if using stealth mode.
    Abilities: Master marksman (can hit a fly's wing from 500ft), expert hand-to-hand combatant (armed and unarmed), at the peak of human physical condition.
    Sparky's bloodstream is filled with nanobots that amplify his central nervous system with tiny electrical charges. This allows Sparky to utilise superhuman speed and strength to his advantage (top speed clocked at 60mph). However, if not kept charged by approximately 1000 volts/day, the nanobots will begin to rip him apart. The constant need for electrical shocks over the years have left Sparky with a major resistance to all forms of electrical attack.

    ARMOUR 1 - Amplifies Sparky's considerable strength and speed to even higher levels by supercharging the nanobots (but drains their charge 1.5x as fast though, so use of ARMOUR 1 for 1 day = 1500 volts needed). Chromatanium is approximately 100 times harder than conventional steel and resistant to extremes of temperature and most acids. ARMOUR 1 also provides Sparky with a targeting system that amplifies his considerable aim. Any and all of his guns can be adapted by the nanobots to integrate with ARMOUR 1, e.g. he can manifest his pistols as wrist-mounted weapons rather than hold them.

    Final ARMOUR - Further amplification of strength and speed. Same qualities as ARMOUR 1, except made of Black Chromatanium (different colour, approximately twice as durable). Wings allow for flight at sub-sonic speeds. Large energy spear (disentegrates matter using an energy field around the blade) can be produce from the arms.
    Can launch a devastating energy blast from the chest by concentrating and charging power. This attack drains the energy levels of the nanobots to low levels from max-power, but is incredibly destructive.
    Final ARMOUR drains power at approximately 3x the rate as being unarmoured.

    Backstory: Been a Runner for 7 years. I don't expect you to know what that means... you really shouldn't.
    I grew up on a farm in Ireland, but I got into a nasty car crash when I was 15, ended up with nanobots and a suped-up skeleton. That's all you need to know.

    Personality: She really just earnestly wants to be a minion. It doesn’t matter if it’s for good or evil, or neither, even, she just feels like needs to have someone she is working under. She actively seeks out and enjoys having a boss and takes a strange enjoyment out of taking orders.
    Abilities: Aside from her competent martial arts skills, she is an army of mooks all on her own, capable of splitting herself into weak clones. When these clones die, they fade and their essence returns to being part of her for use in a later split. All of her clones share a single consciousness, but are capable of acting and speaking individually.
