    Description: A small, greenish-yellow creature wearing leathery armor. His wrinkled skin shows signs of many diseases he has overcome, and also has many battle injuries, including a worg-bite. He is about 40 lb., and is 3' 4''. Several teeth are missing, but those that remain are rather sharp. His ears are shorter than those of others of his kind, and he is bald.
    Personality: Kragaash is very pathetic, even compared to others of his kind. He is very cowardly, and attempts to hang around a creature more powerful than him in an attempt at having some measure of safety. He is not cruel to those weaker than him, but it is not out of any kindness; he knows that if they do become more powerful than him one day, he will have much to worry about.

    If he is ever in a dangerous situation (one that he has not willingly initiated) his first reaction is to run. This does not mean he is not loyal; if someone gains his trust, he will go out of his way to help them, and is willing to aid them in any problems they might have.

    Backstory: Very little of her pre-Nexus backstory is that interesting as far as backstory goes. She has been planehopping and dimensional surfing for many years, and has had quite a few odd misadventures - but they are hardly relevant to the Nexus in the long run.

    Description: Nero wears a leather jacket, torn jeans, utility belt and a black T-shirt. He stands about five feet nine inches, and looks like a greaser right out of the fifties, slicked back hair and all. The only hints to the fact that he's not human are that he glitters slightly, as if his skin was dusted with sparkles, and his slightly pointed ears. Of course, the real give-away that he's a faery is hidden underneath his jacket. He has wings. Purple butterfly wings. And he hates them.

    Personality: Neurosis is the scum of the earth. Really, there's no other way to describe him. Normally, he's foul-tempered, bad mannered, impatient, seriously insecure about his wings and how he sparkles, and has anger management issues on an epic scale. Withdrawal from Pixie Dust only makes this worse, but when he's high, he turns all out psychopathic, sociopathic, and very sadistic, going to disproportionate lengths over the slightest imagined insult. Especially about his wings.

    Nero has a truly ridiculous list of things that annoy him, and even one is enough to make him turn ugly, although such fits of temper rarely last. He's good at hiding his rage though, and often adopts the persona of a young, nervous lad with a mild stutter in order to get close to his victims.

    Equipment: Nero carries three throwing daggers, a scoped tranquilizer gun, a pouch containing Pixie Dust, although the amount varies depending on how successful he's been in his hunt recently, a fourth magical dagger, two radio-comm units, and a pair of silver pliers. Other than that, be has his clothes, and his wallet.

    Abilities: Nero is pretty good with his throwing daggers, can send mental commands to animals if he looks them in the eyes, and has a small amount of magical power if he's recently imbibed Pixie Dust. These powers include telepathy, sending people to sleep, conjuring illusions, teleportation, dulling or increasing sensation or emotion, outright controlling animals, and in extreme cases animating plants.

    Backstory: Nero used to be human. But you know how sometimes, when you wish upon a star you get your wish and a damn catchy musical number? Well sometimes the faery that shows up isn't the good kind, your conscience is suspiciously absent, and the wish your offered sounds to good to be true, cause it ain't. But Nero didn't know that when he wished he wasn't stuck as just another punk on the street, and a Fae noble happened to overhear, and he didn't think twice before taking the deal and becoming a Fae.

    Of course, he thought he'd be a noble like his benefactor, the most beautiful, graceful and magical being he had ever seen. Instead, he was given the title of Servitor, and the job of collecting human teeth to make into pixie dust. The job of a Tooth Fairy, a job rarely held by a male Fae. Still, it cleared up his acne, made him 100% better looking, faster, stronger, he even learned magic.

    Soon enough though, Nero started to get sick of his lot in life, and of being constantly the butt of every joke due to his unusual profession, and acquired a taste for pixie dust. Eventually, as his anger issues got worse and worse and he started taking more and more of his own product as a result, he was forced to look at less legal ways of acquiring it. In the end, he was stripped of his title and exiled to the mortal realm for tearing the teeth out of a sleeping child's mouth.

    Purpose: Religious order who runs an orphanage in West Riverside and the Red Zone of Inside. Their Inside presence is much smaller than their presence in Riverside

    The Sisters and Elders of the Sacred Order of Cunningham have a perspective based religion with a hodge-podge of beliefs pulled from science fiction and popular culture. They are not a celibate order, and in fact strongly promote marriage and sex (in that order) with the goal of having large families.

    All of their abilities are based on their faith, which means their symbols, holy water, etc are completely mundane if there is no one of the Order there to believe in it. Their 'do bad stuff to evil people' or 'do good stuff to good people' powers are completely based on their perspective. It's possible they could 'Turn Undead' a living creature who they believed was undead or 'Smite Evil' a good person that they believed to be evil, and their healing magic will generally not harm anyone that they are trying to help*. They are unable to raise the dead.

    Except for the orphans and their caretakers, the members of the Order do not live in one location. Families have their own homes, and go to the Cathedral for holy services or group events. You know, sort of like people treat their RL churches. The Westside Cathedral is large enough to house people for emergency purposes, but in general, only the family of the pastor and the groundskeeper live there.

    Because it is a subjective religion, vampires and other undead can enter holy grounds if the vampire in questions believes they can and believes their motives to be pure.

    Looks:

    Molly stands at 5'0", and weighs about 110lbs. She has brown hair that's shoulder length, and is always frizzed out. Nothing can tame it. Makes it look like she got electrocuted. Which, she has several times. Her wide eyes are a deep blue color, and her skin is a little pale from a lack of sun.

    She usually wears tan cargo pants, black sneakers, a white t-shirt, and a blue button-up shirt over that, unbuttoned. She also wears a pair of glasses with thick, black rims. She usually carries a shoulder bag that has her personal laptop and many small tools.

    Personality:

    Molly can be shy, and usually keeps to herself. She is also slightly ditzy, kind of lacking in the common sense department. Her heart's in the right place, though. If she notices that somebody's in trouble, she'll do what she can to help them.

    Equipment:

    Molly carries a shoulder bag that carries her laptop. She made this laptop herself, and it is leaps and bounds beyond what a normal laptop is capable of. She also carries several smaller tools in there, along with a few items that are hard to identify. These are multi-use gadgets she made herself, and only she knows what they do. In the many pockets on her pants, she tends to collect many random small items. Kind of a habit of hers.

    Abilities:

    Molly has a knack for any technical stuff, from repairs to manufacturing, codes to designs, simple to advanced technology. She doesn't really know why she's so good at it, she just is. She's never run into any trouble in those areas. She also has a knack of making random items using whatever materials she has on hand. ((MacGuyver style.))

    Backstory:

    Not much is known about her yet. She doesn't really like to talk about it, which could mean it has bad stuff. Might come back for her at some point.

    Description: There isn't much to the Operative's appearance. He's a tall, well-built man. Beyond that, all that is known for sure is that he wears a black, hooded combat uniform complete with gloves and boots, and covers his face with a gas mask. The only visible part of his body would take very good eyes to see - the Operative's eyes are mostly normal, except for unnaturally dark irises.

    Personality: Cold, calculating, and cruel are the three adjectives that would best describe the leader of MURDER. To the Operative, there is nothing of importance but the objective. He has no qualms about torture or public execution, if it gets him what he needs. And until he gets whatever he may need, be it information, some sort of object, etc., he will be downright ruthless. He has no compassion for people, viewing allies as a means to an end, and foes as no more than an obstacle.

    Rather than judge others by their character, or even more external values, the Operative judges people based on how useful and cooperative they are to him. If someone gave him information when requested, with little resistance, he would hold them in a somewhat higher esteem. For this reason, the Operative could find a truly awful person to be okay, as long as they were useful, while a veritable angel could be hated by him if they were more resistant.

    As an emotionless, cold-hearted assassin, the Operative speaks in Bold.

    Equipment: The Operative has no possessions.

    Abilities: The Operative has similar physical abilities to that of any standard special ops soldier. He's an expert in hand-to-hand combat, and is deadly with any small melee weapons, preferably an ice pick. He knows human anatomy very well, at least for the purposes of torture.

    He is also a powerful psion, having realized some part of his potential when becoming corporeal. He is capable of precise telekinesis, some basic mind-reading, teleportation, and other miscellaneous abilities.

    Due to feeling no emotions, the Operative also has a rather more unique trait: he is completely immune to all emotion-based magic. Compulsions do not affect him (though hypnosis or mind control might, depending on the user's willpower.) Love/lust magic is ineffective. He ignores empathy shots. He will not let anything get in the way of the processes of gaining information.

    Description: Lazarus is an elf who stands about a foot tall. He has almost cartoon-like body proportions and pointy ears to denote his nonhuman species if his tiny size wasn't an indicator already. The tiny elf usually wears an equally tiny shirt, jerkin, breeches, and other clothing in a Renaissance style, though they are all a drab and darkish green color. His nose, mouth, chin, and neck are usually covered by a black neckerchief worn in a "cowboy" style and pulled up over his nose. He carries a bindle on his shoulder, which is a polka-dotted piece of small red cloth tied around a stick to carry around the elf's small amount of small personal belongings. He has black hair and golden eyes with blemish-less tanned skin, and could probably be called comely if he wasn't a tiny little elf. His mouth is stitched shut with tiny but steel-strong wire made from spider silk.
    Equipment: He has two sets of dull Renaissance style clothes and a black neckerchief to wear. He also has his bindle, in which he usually keeps his extra set of clothes, a number of pencils, his diary, and a small bowie knife sized for him.
    Abilities: Lazarus gains sustenance and magical power from the appreciation of others. With the magic, he can create minor objects and fix things. He can create things like roses, cookies, furniture, and shoes. Nice things. There are also other magics he can do, but those are vague.
    Backstory: Lazarus was a happy elf who lived in a community of other happy little elves inside a tree in some far off land. There the brownie community helped out the nearby humans with little tasks and such, made cookies and shoes for them. They never revealed themselves, but the thanks the humans gave to their vague woodland spirits for the gifts was appreciation enough to sustain the elves. Lazarus was tasked with delivering cookies and such to the humans without being seen, and this he did well. Until the day when he fell in love with some human girl. She was pretty, and he was still a young elf despite his species' quick rate of maturation. He approached the girl one day and spoke with her, breaking the laws of the elves. And then he told her his name, another serious broken law. See, if the humans have a name, they will thank and appreciate only that name, so only the bearer of the name would get the sustenance and magic. After his meeting with the human girl, the other elves in the community imprisoned him. He had a trial, and was found guilty of the crimes of communicating with a human and telling one his name. The punishment for this was banishment and the stitching of his mouth shut, so he could never speak again. He came to the Nexus after being cast out of the elf's world.

    Race/Species: Mostly human, though parts of his body have been replaced with Etherium Grafts.

    Alignment: Blue/White (Lawful Good)
    Class/Profession: Planeswalker. Also, Gish Extraordinaire!
    Power Rating: Roughly B+ to A-.
    Description: The man has an immaculately clean beard, blue eyes, and auburn hair. He's fairly muscular, though no more than is normal, and stands about 5'11". One of his arms has been replaced with an Etherium one, with what appears to be an array of Galvanic Sparks moving it around. Beyond that much, it's hard to tell due to his Plate Armor.
    Personality: He's basically a good person, and genuinely desires to help those in need. He also likes to learn new things and get rid of things that are not conducive to a friendly environment.
    Equipment: He wears a suit of armor, even when sleeping. It's actually made from Etherium, so it can reshape itself to better resist blows and to be comfortable. He carries ridiculous supplies of potions and such under the armor as well, and the armor can actually physically move them into his hands. He wields both sword and spell into battle. The sword is made of Etherium as well, so it reshapes itself to stay ridiculously sharp and with just the right amount of weight being carried.
    Abilities: Jakob is a planeswalker, a rare being capable of naturally traversing the planes of reality. He is talented in the use of the sword, though it's unclear just how much of this is his sword messing around with its shape and weight to help him out. He wields spells as well, being a skilled practitioner of Transmutative magic. He mostly uses his spells defensively, however, using magic to put up wards and shields. He also is able to use said magic to improve the combat capabilities of his allies, making them immune to fatigue and resistant to damage. He's also pretty darned good at both fixing and placing transmutative curses. If you want your friend who's been turned into a newt to get better, he's your man. If you want an annoyance converted into a rabbit, he's also your man.

    Gender: As a warforged, Azik is a genderless construct. However, he identifies as male.
    Race/Species: Warforged, which is a living type of construct
    Age: Azik is currently eight years old. This isn't much of a problem though, as he is of a constructed race, and thus not subject to having to grow up.
    Alignment: Almost completely Neutral. However, he is completely honorable and will never break his word. NEVER.
    Class/Profession: Artificer. He makes magical things and sells them to the public at large, but be warned, those who try to steal, he is far from unable to use his own wares.
    Power Rating: Scalar, depending on his prep time and what he brings with him. He can get as high as A- before he starts pushing himself, and that's at the level where he's forcing all the power out of wands at once - not something he wants to do. most of the time, it's safe to assume he's at about C+
    Description:

    Personality: Azik is a down to business type of guy. Don't get in his way, and he won't go against you, but try to screw him over or those he holds dear, and you'll be lucky to be raining from the sky for the next three days.
    Equipment: His longcoat catches in the breeze. As it flutters, one can see a multitude of wands, schema, and scrolls all attached to several belts around his waist and upper legs. On his eyes he wears a pair of blue tinted shades, despite his lack of ears, and the metal orbs that serve as his eyes glow green behind these spectacles.
    Abilities: First off, Azik is a warforged. This means that, while he can technically be raised from the dead, he doesn't have soul. He doesn't sleep, he doesn't eat, and without a bloodstream, poisons and diseases won't work on him. On top of that, his skin is literally a set of adamantine plates, not only making him very heavy for his size (which is already large), but also a veritable tank with regards to what can damage him. And that's all from what he is.

    What he can do is impressive - Despite being unable to use magical spells and the like, he has learned how to infuse objects with magical power, meaning that stick sitting on his shelf? it could be a wand that shoots huge fireballs. The sky and the imagination is the limit with this guy, though anything he doesn't already have in stock can be custom made for a buyer

    Backstory:fueled by the death of her mother , and the hatred of the drow who caused it, Aemi has vowed rid the world of their presence, or to at least destroy the civilisation they currently live in

    Description: Cyrus speaks with a mild Gaelic Accent, and has a head of red hair. He has an oddly pale complexion, and no irises around the pupils of his eyes. He wears a suit of leather armor, due to his value on mobility, and looks generally like someone you would avoid in the street. His clothes are black and red, and his magical aura varies between Black and Red, depending on exactly what he's casting.
    Personality: He's hopelessly hedonistic, filled with hate, hot-tempered, foul-tempered, evil, brutal, savage, soulless, and... ...you get the idea.
    Equipment: He wears a suit of leather armor specially enchanted to inflict horrible curses on people who touch it. It sets them on fire, and scourges the mind. It's not pleasant. He also carries a crossbow, along with a truly ridiculous number of enchanted bolts, with effects ranging from fireballs and acid to disintegration and amnesia.
    Abilities: Cyrus is a planeswalker, a rare being capable of naturally traversing the planes of reality. He is talented in the use of a crossbow, and can fire with immense precision and speed. He wields spells as well, being a powerful Evoker and Enchanter. He has no qualms about harming innocents with his spells, though he doesn't randomly murder civilians for no reason. That would be stupid.

    Equipment:He carries a machine gun and pistol with him. His main advantage is his flying ship.

    The Swift Scale:

    On each side of his ship his crew have four high caliber machine guns that can be mounted in special firing positions and four more on each side below deck that can also be mounted in firing positions. The crew is also able to mount a powerful gun near the steering wheel that can pierce most armor in times of need. The sides and bottom of the ship have armored plates. When coming into port the guns are taken below deck to keep from being attacked by the port guards.
    Backstory:He learned about his love for flying when he was younger and decided to become a Flying Ship Captain.

    Enforcer HQ:
    This building serves as a police station for Westside and has the typical functions one would expect. In addition to this, it acts as a sort of armoury for Tenebras.

    On the outside, this building almost looks like a bunker. It's a low, squat building constructed of stone. The only windows are on the front of the building and they are small. There is a fenced off area in the back that contains a number of vehicles.

    The lobby area is fairly bare. There are a few different clearly labeled desks to approach, depending on the reason for being there. One is for general business with the Enforcers. The wall opposite the desks is lined with chairs.

    Off to the left is a hallway that goes deeper into the building. An Enforcer guard stands at the entrance to this hallway at all times. At the end of the hall is a heavy steel door with a card based lock. Behind this door is an armoury that contains the Enforcer's weapons and armour.

    On the opposite side of the lobby, there is a similar hallway, though it's not guarded on the lobby side. At the far end there is a door that leads to an area with a few holding cells and a desk for a guard to work at.

    Halfway down the same hall is another hall intersecting it. This hall is lined with doors to a number of offices and other rooms.

    Exbourne Manor:
    The manor is commonly known to be owned by Tenebras and occupied by Tenebras members. It was formerly the base of Westside's government.

    Exbourne manor is rather old, though kept in excellent condition since it was restored when Tenebras moved in. The rooms are large and spacious, and most of the public areas have been painted in bright pastels and decorated with vases of flowers.

    The ground floor largely consists of the lofty entrance hall, a comfortable living room, and the kitchen. Ramiro's office is also on the ground floor for easy access. The second and third floor have mostly bedrooms and attached washrooms. The basement serves as rooms for the servants primarily. In a separate part of the basement is a large vault as well as an Evolution Industries Class 2 MACE Unit which provides the building with electricity. Finally, the attic contains whatever it is that creates the darkness field within Westside.

    The manor is surrounded by a courtyard. An iron fence surrounds it, and a number of trees provide privacy along the sides and behind the building. The courtyard is grassy and has a cobblestone trail leading to the front door. Behind the manor is a private garden. The courtyard's gate is almost always left open.

    Westside City Hall:
    This is the base of operations for Tenebras' government affairs in Westside, Riverside.

    The newly constructed city hall is a towering, impressive building. It is crafted primarily out of a light stone. There is an old feel to it's design, but it is very much a modern building on the inside.

    It opens up to a wide open lobby. The floor is a clean white and the room is brightly lit by florescent lights. Immediately to the right of the door is a reception desk where a receptionist can be found for direction during business hours. On the left of the entrance is a security desk where an Enforcer can be found. In the middle of the room is a small fountain with several chairs around it. On the far side of the room is an elevator and there are a number of other doors that lead out of the room.

    On the second and third floor there are a number of offices. The mayor's office is on the third floor and there is an office for the Enforcer chief here as well.

    Tenebras has made a contract to be supplied arms and armour by Evolution Industries. Most of Tenebras' armed personal will be found equipped with these when the situation calls for it. While on patrol or guarding important areas being most common.

    Description: Decently tall, possessed of a military physique. He typically wears a black leather military coat, complete with a silver eagle pin on the lapel. It's almost never worn unbuttoned. He sometimes wears gloves over his knobby hands, of a black leather like the rest of his wardrobe. He's got relatively human eyes, of a faded blue. A mop of deadened white-blonde hair lies upon his head, burnt and singed in spots. Along his chest and abdomen are a series of what appear to be old bullet-scars, seven of them. Perhaps this is how he died.

    Personality: Cruel, patient, extremely loyal, introverted, noncommittal, reasonable, workaholic, patriotic, a fairly free commander, can be a zealot for the proper cause.

    Abilities: Combat shapeshifting. Sprouting limbs, mouths, weapons, morphing his current body parts. Shifting his surroundings to a lesser degree or putting out lights. Perhaps some Abyssal spell-like abilities. The ability to blight or desecrate holy people, items, or places. Fast healing, like many Abyssal creatures. Immunity to electricity and poison, along with resistances to several other elements. Summoning minor demons. Telepathy. Speaks Draconic, Celestial, and Abyssal.

    Equipment: None but the clothes on his back and, on occasion, spellcasting components. Perhaps some personal affects, or a contract for soul-selling.

    Alias: Accepts “CB” as a nickname, also acknowledges “484,” and “84,” but does not acknowledge “48” or any other mincing of his name.

    Gender: Masculine programming

    Race/Species: CB-unit medical robot.

    Age: 3 (this is about 45 in computer years, technology moves fast!)

    Alignment: True neutral, mainly due to the fact that he reacts to situations in a large variety of ways.

    Class/Profession: Field Medic

    Power Rating: D, maybe D+ on a particularly epic day.

    Description: About five feet tall, CB is a blue-colored cylindrical robot. His base is wide, and conceals a movement array. His body has five limbs, four spindly arms and a longer, telescoping arm. Two of the arms end in small hands, one ends in a hypodermic needle, and one ends in a vibroblade. The telescoping arm has a basic claw attached to it.
    His head is wide, and has four eyes. Three are small and glow red, and one is large and just black.

    Personality: Intelligent and a little creepy at first. Absolutely terrifying once you get to know him.

    Equipment: Has a sonar suite and an advanced medical sensor suite installed. The movement array is seven basic rolling spheres, which he uses to move around. It is designed for movement on flat, clean surfaces. On dirt or rougher terrain he is slower than usual, and in rough terrain (or particularly thick carpet) he can become completely immobile. Has taken to carrying around a medical backpack and a low-recoil shotgun when in the field.

    Abilities: programmed with the medical information from several different sentient creatures, he has a good amount of experience in both the field and in the operating room. He is capable of most kinds of surgery, given the right equipment. His arms are very nimble and faster than the human eye, at the cost of some strength. He is the first to know that medical knowledge has a number of violent applications, too. However, he is not a combat robot and is therefore not very strong or solidly built. In combat, he must strike quickly and efficiently because his chassis is not designed for dodging and he really can’t take much damage. He prefers psychological warfare.

    Backstory: The CB line of medical robots were very unpopular. There were complaints that their locomotive system was too tempermental, and their arms were too weak. Both of these, however, were mere annoyances and fixable if you wanted to customize your robot. The reason that they were so unpopular is because they couldn't manage emotions properly, and had no empathy whatsoever. Only one model ever developed emotions and a degree of understanding others emotions: CB-001-34658-484.

    That was enough to put an end to the line forever.

    Miscellaneous: First character, and is probably going to have no end of trouble in any wild area.

    That's right, the green tide has its own presence in the Nexus. A large number of orkoids have sprung up primarily in Underside and Outside. Thankfully for the other citizens of the Nexus, they are far from unified. Many smaller groups fight among each other and whatever else that they can get their hands on. Every so often a few can be seen making forays into the Nexus proper. Most of the time to get squig and fungus based food stuffs from Trog's.

    Sneaky Gitz

    The sneaky Gitz are an atypical ork clan. Rather than conforming to the traditional style of combat of your typical orks... the Gitz do the same thing, except they're wearing purple! Which somehow makes them sneaky. The sneakiest of the best of the best actually do sneak, which works really well along with their purple clothing.

      Description: Wortarg stands about eight feet tall and is rather imposing, as pretty much every ork is. He's clad in armour made of leather and metal plates dyed/painted purple. Sitting on his head is a pristine black top hat with a purple band.

      Equipment:
      • Top Hat of Absurd Weapons. On command by the user the top of the hat will open up as a double door and produce a comical weapon being held by a white-gloved hand at the end of a robotic arm. This might be a cartoony missile. A giant steel mallet. A frying pan, or whatever appropriately silly weapon the user might be able to imagine.
      • A rather large choppa that even an ork has to wield with two hands.


      Miscellaneous: Wortarg has a fighting cat! Unfortunately, this cat is a tiny, brown kitten at the moment. He's sure to grow up to be a fierce fighter, however.

      Description: Roket Boot is so named because he is far from just an ordinary ork. Instead of his right leg, a Dok has placed a metal leg that has a rocket for a foot. In all other respects he is a typical ork, save for some major scarring from a number of explosion wounds.

    Red Shellz

    The Red Shellz are an odd bunch. Strangely obsessed with making their already thick hide completely covered in metal, often with spiky bits. All this armour has the effect of making it hard to get to the fighting quickly enough to suit their needs, so they paint all their armour red, thus moving significantly faster.

    Description: The best description for Nox is "awkward". He walks around looking awkward. He's skinny, not very tall, and not very impossing. His hair is tied back in a ponytail even though it's barely long enough to achieve it and his skin is pale as can get.
    Personality: Usually excited and willing to jump into action at any given time, even when action is not required. He is also convinced that everything he attempts is a massive success.
    Equipment: Sword x1. Cape x1. The cape seems like it may have been used on tables at some point.
    Abilities: There is not much in the way of skills and abilities. he has some basic sword training, but barely enough to beat someone who also has basic sword training, and none at all. He is, however, pretty smart. As for weaknesses, none other than regular human weaknesses.

    Miscellaneous: Noxfire is the leader and founder of a Nexus faction, CLOUD. The Champion's League Of United (last word has not been chosen yet).     Description: Renetta looks much like a wolfen, a wolf like humanoid. She is quite lithe in build and she stands almost six feet tall. The fur covering her body is a dark red and her eyes are an icy green. Her face is much like a wolf's, though with a somewhat shorter muzzle. Her feet are like paws, and each of her fingers and toes have small claws.

    Personality: She is a shy and reserved woman. She's suffered a lot of abuse after being held by slavers for several months, and it shows in how she presents herself. It's hard for her to trust people and she frightens easily. Otherwise she is a very kind hearted and friendly person.

    Backstory: Renetta grew up a single child, largely because of the low fertility rate of elves, with her mother and father, Lydia and Ardrim. She is technically nobility, her parents both coming from lower noble families. She led a very sheltered life and her parents could be quite controlling at time. That said, she was still quite happy. She enjoyed spending time with her uncle, Gamaliel, and had a few friends among other families.

    This quiet, peaceful life was regrettably changed forever one day. She was out for a stroll, and she went out further from her home than she would normally. That is where Ezra's slaver caravan came across her. Seeing the easy opportunity, they captured her. She was held for almost a year by the slavers, and during that time she would be sexually abused frequently. She'd all but given up hope, but one day while passing through the Nexus, the caravan was attacked and the slaves freed. It didn't leave her without scars, however, and soon after being freed she discovered that she was a month pregnant.

She was born in the Nexus at the Good League of Good. Born April 2012 OoC time.

    While she was still a baby, Renetta and Waterstrider, along with her, went to live with Waterstrider's tribe for some time. Flamecrest has spent most of her life with the tribe.

    Description: Fferrir is a tall man, around six foot four, and heavily built, although little else can be discerned with eyes alone. The reason for this is that his skin is liquid adamantine, which tends to pretty much everything but his general shape. There are adamantine plates grafted onto his forearms and knuckles, and an adamantine mask, featureless except for two glowing eyes and a slit that serves as a mouth, is the closest he has to a "face".

    Fferrir rarely wears clothes, as his metallic hide conceals pretty much everything, but occasionally he'll wear armor for important occassions, more for style than anything. Beneath his adamantine hide, Fferrir is a rather normal man, albeit one who radiates a constant air of disapproval tinged with menace and annoyance. Heavy scars run across his face, torso, and pretty much everywhere, and his black hair is cut short to keep it out of his eyes. Of course, it's unlikely this will ever matter, as he has no intention of ever removing the bracer that creates the liquid metal, nor could he.

    Personality: Fferrir is neither nice, nor particularly sane. The first, most obvious thing about him is that he's entirely obsessed with honor. His life, the lives of those around him, the continued survival of anything within a hundred miles of him is, in his mind, second to honor and glory. The second is that he is continually in a state of extreme annoyance, an aura of foul temper that never abates.

    Still, he respects the law, and isn't the type to randomly attack someone without cause. He much prefers to wait for someone else to break the law for him, then work off his excess aggression by beating them to a bloody pulp. He has little time for riff-raff, dishonorable folk, nor any of the other eighty percent of the population he considers "scum", but he quite literally worships anyone he finds honorable, especially if they're noble or otherwise "high ranking". It's.... Let's say very, very creepy and leave it at that.

    Equipment: At the moment, Fferrir is penniless, homeless, and doesn't even have a set of clothes to his name. His only equipment is the magical braced fused to his arm, and that's practically a part of him.

    Abilities: Fferrir is a top class combatant with longsword, mace, or just his fists, and trained in the use of bow, dagger, flail, shield, and claymore. He's also been fighting in heavy armor for most of his life, so he knows how to turn a direct hit into a glancing one, a talent that has become especially useful once he found the bracer. Thanks to the bracer, he is now all but impervious to attacks with edged weapons, magic, or bullets, although the impact can still cause him damage, and he can meld the liquid adamantine into weapons to fight with. In extreme danger, he can even turn his metal hide into a suit of armor, increasing it's ability to absorb blunt trauma but making it decidely less invulnerable. Finally, due to his possession by the Ion, he has all the talents of a very powerful Green Lantern, without the need for a power ring or battery, although at present he does not know about most of his new powers or have the ability to use any of them reliably.

    Fferrir was born to the noble house of Eissenvis, a house of famous warriors and commanders. His father was Tarvost Vitrus, a man lacking in fame but undoubtably honorable, who held a position as the head of the city watch for fourteen years. Unfortunately, Fferrir was less interested in following his fathers example than he was in abusing the freedom his connections to the city watch gave him. From when he was twelve to his twentieth year, Fferrir lived in decadence, callously disobeying the law whenever it pleased him.

    That ended. Fast. Upon his twentieth birthday his father forced him into the military, with the belief it would teach him the value of honor and glory. It did, in a way. After going too far in his disrespect for a superior officer, Fferrir was beaten, kept in isolation, starved, deprived of sleep and tortured in every other way short of thumbscrews for three months, the army's way of dealing with those who didn't follow orders. When a war broke out with the nearby kingdom of Destal he was finally freed from his punishment, and rejoined the corps.

    His first skirmish was hardly his last, nor was it any place for a new recruit. The army was forced to march up a mountain, as the enemy rained down arrows, catapulted stones, and poured troops upon them. It was one of the bloodiest battles in his world's histories, with thousands of casualties on his side, and less than a hundred on the side of the Destalis. Eventually however, they managed to storm the fortress, forcing the foe to retreat or be overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Fferrir survived only due to the rigorous training he had received since birth, and even then it was luck his life was not ended by a stray arrow.

    Between sudden exposure to the various and sundry horrors or war, including the loss of his right pinky finger, the brutal torture, and severe psychological issues, Fferrir emerged from his first battle a significantly different man. A war hero, to be precise, due to leading the charge that finally broke the gates of the fortress. He was promoted to sergeant, and in the many battles against the Destalis that followed, he proved himself again and again in his ruthlessness and sheer determination to win. Nothing but complete inability to continue would force him to turn back, and amazingly, it worked.

    When the war was over, he was a general, known as a butcher, both of his own men and of the enemy. Despite the losses the army sustained under his leadership, he was also an excellent tacticians, and the enemy's losses were far greater, earning him the king's favor. It was by his hand that the peace treaty was signed, and in return he was offered the hand of a Destalis princess in marriage. Against his better judgement, Fferrir allowed the king to persuade him to marry her, despite his reluctance, in order to ensure the peace remained.

    When he returned to his home city, a conquering hero married to a foreign princess, he was a legend, and his first act was to challenge his own father to a duel for the house of Eissenvis. There was no "duel". The campaign against the Destalis had lasted twenty years, and his father was an old man. It was a slaughter. Fferrir took possession of an ancient artifact that had long been handed down his family line, a bracer that gave the wearer impenetrable armor. Eagerly donning it, he discovered immediately why his father never wore it. Although indeed, the armor it granted was all but indestructible, it also attached itself to him like a second skin, one he could never remove.

    At that point though, he was beyond caring. Battle, honor and glory were his life, his reason for being, his only reason for being. And with the peace, he was left purposeless. He went a little mad, more so than before, left alone in his mansion with only his wife, who's touch he could no longer feel. Soon the king grow weary of Fferrir's endless refusal to attend ceremonies, formal parties, and other such affairs, an annoyance matched only by Fferrir's poor manners when he did see fit to attend.

    What's more, relations with Destal where steadily growing worse, and in the end, the king decided to grant Fferrir his wish of a war to fight. By sending an assassin to kill Fferrir's wife. It worked. She was killed, her pretty throat slit, and war erupted over her murder, as she was royalty. However, the king had overestimated Fferrir's desire for battle weighed against his growing obsession with honor. He did not love his wife, he did not enjoy her company, nor even regret her loss. But he could not abide what the king had done, in murdering her in such a way, in Fferrir's own house. Fferrir cursed the king in public, revealing all he had done in the king's name, a thousand brutal war crimes, before swearing an oath to leave and never return. And that's exactly what he did, unable to bear the stain of dishonor that now tainted his entire world.

    Personality: Despair is extremely stoic, rarely saying anything at all unless necessary. It doesn't always want to fight, but refuses to back down if it happens, unless its entirely outclassed. He's ridiculously determined to succeed at what he does, and very few things can get in the way of that. And if he wants something, he can be ruthless in obtaining it.

    Equipment: Despair always wears a magically hardened suit of armor, and carries an adamantine greatsword so large and heavy that it has no business being carried at all.

    Abilities: The first of Despair's special abilities is fairly insidious. Hostile creatures within 10 feet or so of Despair must make a will save every round or have some of their energy sapped. This causes them to become fatigued and less able to go on. The second ability is a bit more direct, but also important: Despair is capable of a limited form of telekinesis, able to extend a magical claw, grappling and dragging its enemies within striking distance. It can only extend four of these at any one time, and the ability drains its energy pool. For more mundane abilities, Despair is incredibly strong, with a strength roughly equivalent to a '30' in D&D. It has strong armor, powerful defenses, and will regenerate over time. It cannot be knocked down, as some incredible supernatural force keeps it upright. It cannot even willingly lay down, though it can sit. Finally, Despair is skilled with a blade, and capable of using its sword to great effect in battle.

    Backstory: Despair was raised from the dead by his own commitment to not staying down. Indeed, he fought his way out of limbo for the right to stand back up. Unfortunately, his rotting body and decaying form has eroded his skill and strength somewhat. As a consequence of this, however, he has no memories of his previous life or his name. This could be a problem, considering that he was somewhat attached to those. He was given his new name as part of the pact he made to free himself from the realm of chaos.

    Background: The de Vere family are local nobility, and were scandalized by the behaviour of the youngest daughter who ran away from her arranged marriage to elope with a watchmaker. Though the family disowned her for a time, they reconciled soon after Henry Stevenson's death eight years ago. Mother and son were brought back to the family estate and Jacob was treated as an heir to the family. Two years ago, his family attempted to arrange a marriage between Jacob and the heiress to another noble family. The couple seemed to get along well, despite the family pressure, but the match fell through and the young lady married some other noble scion. Soon afterwards, Jacob reopened his father's shop and began working as a watchmaker, despite having been given a trust fund that makes working unnecessary. In his profession, he's thought of well, though the influx of high tech from other dimensions has hurt his trade. The broken near-engagement is the only romantic attachment in his background. He seems to be a somewhat solitary figure.

    Description: Wolfgang is a tall (a little over six feet,) skinny, and pale man, who obviously needs to see natural daylight more often. He has a gaunt and very angular face, with a usually stoic expression. He has dirty blonde hair, always very neatly styled. The Nazi has vibrant blue eyes, always behind a pair of glasses.

    His clothing is rather typical of what is expected from a scientist. He wears a white lab coat over a neatly suit kept suit. His Luger is holstered on his right hip, just under the coat.

    Personality: On the surface, Wolfgang seems to be a fairly kind and sociable person. Look any deeper than the skin, however, and you will find a rather twisted psyche (as one might expect from a Nazi.) He places more importance on science than human lives, and is quite willing to sacrifice the latter in the sake of the former.

    However, despite his clear lack of sanity, Wolfgang sees the practicality of moral things such as mercy. If he views it as better in the long run to let someone live, he’ll do so. He also won’t randomly kill - that doesn’t contribute to science.

    Because he is a very twisted person with only a kind surface, Wolfgang speaks in Dark Red.

    Equipment: A lab coat, Luger pistol, and a journal, used for notes.

    Abilities: He’s an okay shot with his pistol, but he only uses it in self-defence. Outside of combat, though, Wolfgang has an immense knowledge of virtually all disciplines of science, and a good grasp of the paranormal.

    Wolfgang was born and raised in Weimar, Germany, starting from 1920. He lived a very frugal childhood, as expected in the post-WW1 era. All he and his family had to their name was an awful house, terrible food, and books. The young German frequently read these books, devouring any and all information they contained. Although his parents couldn’t afford to send him to any sort of school, they did their best to educate him as he took an interest in science. They were poor, after all, not stupid.

    Then the National Socialist Party took over. People promising an end to the depression, restoring Germany to its former glory. Wolfgang was swept up in these speeches. Although he knew he couldn’t fight in any war, he volunteered for one of the teams performing research for new military developments. Things went slow, and the scientists watched as the German army pushed forward, then was pushed back on two fronts. That is, until one March in 1944. The team received reports of some sort of meteorite impact a few dozen miles from Berlin. They investigated, and found something unfathomable.

    What they found was an orange, glowing material, somehow not radioactive. Upon tests, they found that even a small amount of the material produced unprecedented amounts of energy. Almost immediately, Wolfgang and his colleagues set to work using this new element - Elerium - for the production of new weapons, armor, and vehicles, all under a single project dubbed “Wunderwaffen.” The Stupid Jetpack Hitler trope became a reality - with energy-based weapons, powered armor, and hovering vehicles. This vast technological advantage allowed Germany to turn the tides of the war, leading to a reconquering of Europe. It was about then that the Allies surrendered.

    Germany enjoyed a new golden age, as the Wunderwaffen team found more uses of Elerium. This led to a much more rapid advancement in technology than in the real world. The latest project that Wolfgang dreamed up was the ITD - Instantaneous Travel Device, something that allowed humans to bypass the roads and simply teleport to their destination. Construction went well enough, but a few simple mistakes were made during its calibration, and Wolfgang ended up in the Nexus. Still, he found it to be a success overall, and plans to build another ITD to try and get back to his home.

    Lord Kybin of Skullcrusher Mountain

    Alias: Just Kybin. Some call him Warlord or Warboss Kybin, but he does not approve of it.
    Gender: Male.
    Race/Species: Human.
    Age: Late twenties? Early thirties? There about.
    Alignment: True neutral, with a villainous bent.
    Class/Profession: Warmage/Warrior/Spellsword. Dangerous at range, devastating in melee.
    Power Rating: B, pushing B+
    Description: He wears a long, purple cloak, over chain mail. His face is hidden by a steel mask, and he wears heavy gauntlets and boots.
    Personality: Calculating and clever, he takes as little flak as possible. Nontheless, he is used to dealing with orcs and goblins, and so he has learned to survive, and thrive, in utter chaos. Also somewhat insane. Like a bond villain, but genre savy and prone to comic relief.
    Equipment: Armor and cloak are enchanted with some generic defense buffs. Gauntlets are of strength, and the boots presumably are for stomping. Not necessarily magic stomping, but stomping nonetheless. He carries a spiked chain with some high nondescript magic on it. His mask has amplify voice, whispered message, and sending abilities at will. Has other adventuring equipment, like first aid, potions, and climbing tools. Cloak has pocket dimension for storage.
    Abilities: Being a warmage, he specializes in magic that does large amounts of damage. Fire, ice, sonics, electricity, large spinning blades, etc. He is very dangerous in battle, but his choices for non-offensive spells are limited. He also is very dangerous in melee combat, using melee spells, some unarmed experience, and his spiked chain to waste anyone that he comes across.
    His true danger, however, is his leadership. He is the intelligent and cunning leader of the Greenskins of Skullcrusher Mountain: a group of orcs and goblins that are generally well-equipped and well-led. He has a group around whenever he expects any kind of trouble, with the hope that the greenskins won’t cause too much trouble on their own.
    Backstory: Kybin graduated from the warmage academy with honors, and went adventuring for a time. After this, he started to gain control of orcs via force and goblins also via force. Today? He’s got a good sized force and is looking for something new to do…

    Orc Boyz-Equipped with medium armor, hand choppas, and shields. Rather expendable, they only last a round or two.

    Goblins-Light armor, shields, and hand weapons. Many also carry bows. Sometimes, assassins hide among the rank-and-file troops. Be careful! Most goblins die in droves, but assassins can be more dangerous.

    Kobolds-Sometimes employed to rig traps or sabotage mechanics. In battle, they prefer to keep a distance and pelt the enemy with sling stones. In melee, they don’t last long and are always trying to run away.

    Savages-The crazier cousins of the rank-and file orcs, savages wear light armor, paint themselves with war paint, and charge into battle brandishing two weapons. They also carry shields, but they don’t often think of that until after they’ve lost an arm. They hit hard, but they don’t last very long.

    Black warriors- These are the best of the best, with the heaviest armor, shields, and weapons. They pride themselves in their excellent battle methods, and their armor that they paint a solid black, with some purple highlights to show their allegiance to Lord Kybin. Very dangerous.

    Kobold Dragonshields- Very dangerous kobolds, with excellent training and lots of experience. They are not blinded by their success, and are still willing to use dirty tactics to get an upper hand. However, they are still kobolds. Against a superior foe, they still die like kobolds.

    Description: A tall and wiry man with dark green eyes and close cut red hair. His skin is tanned from a life spent outside and he has more than a couple scars, none that are very large or distinctive however. Typically he can be found wearing leather armor or plain dark colored clothing. A bow is usually slung over his back and a dagger hangs from his waist along with two pouches.

    Personality: Above all Jacob is pragmatic. In general he tends to look out for himself. This is not to say he is entirely selfish or without compassion, simply that he only really worries about his well-being and that of anyone he cares about. He isn't one to get emotional or ponder moral issues. He does enjoy making fun of people from time to time, though, and can be somewhat a womanizer.

    Equipment:
    A highly enchanted longbow that can put a number of effects on the arrows fired from it, as well as generally being more accurate.
    A standard dagger, that appears to be quite old but well taken care of.
    A suit of leather armor.
    A hand crossbow that coats the bolts loaded in it with a sleeping poison.
    A small pouch magic'd to hold far more than it should.

    Abilities: Jacob is a highly skilled archer, and this is his primary calling. He has some experience with his dagger as well, though close combat is something he avoids as much as possible. He also has skill with tracking, stealth, trap finding and disabling, and lock picking.

    Power Rating: Can very greatly depending on his surroundings (See abilities), but in a scenerio void of any emotions to draw on he is most likely at a D- (kinda competent with his rapier), or C- (level 5 caster dnd) if desperate enough to use his own emotions to fuel minor offensive magic. At his absolute best, say the middle of a raging battle field or in the presence of an epic event inspiring the greatest levels of awe and emotion in those around him, Rahlus probably caps at A ( 20-30 epic level dnd)
    Description: In public he would normally wear his the robes of his station, thick pure white robes with a silver belt holding a silver rapier. He normally leaves the hood off, so his head is clearly visable. He has combed back dark brown hair, long enough to conceal his ears, and brown eyes.     Personality: While he is very emotionally reserved (see abilities), Rahlus is not quiet and in fact enjoys socialization immensely. Rahlus is very observant and inquisitive, eager to learn more about the worlds outside his own. He has a strong sense of justice (though not necessarily good) and will act quickly to manifest it on his surroundings. Being a experienced aristocrat is also very charismatic and at times manipulative. His eloquent way of speaking is expressed by his dialogue appearing in italics.
    Equipment: Rahlus is practically always going to be wearing his High-Philosopher's robes, which are enchanted to provide multiple conveniences (such as perpetual cleanness and temperature moderation) and protection comparable to plate armour. His silver rapier is unenchanted, a symbol of status rather than a weapon.
    Abilities: Rahlus utilizes a emotion based magic common in his home world. he is capable of reading emotion of a single person and or an entire crowd, but more importantly can use emotion he detects to fuel magic powers. For example, if he is in an inn which suddenly erupts into brawl he can use the great amounts of rage to conjure flames, if he is in a military base right before a battle he could use the great amounts of fear to conjure illusions. In other words, the powers he can manifest are directly related to the emotion he is using to fuel it. Also, the amount of emotion and its intensity are responsible for the effectiveness of the magic. Rahlus is much more powerful in a city, where people feeling a wide variety of emotions are everywhere around him, than in say a camp were he can sap on only the emotions of a few people. Likewise he is much more powerful against an attacker who is burning with vengeance than one who simply wants his coin. Rahlus himself must be very gaurded against his own emotion, for he is a beacon through which entities of pure emotion can manifest should he lose control. While normal anger may cause a wisp of rage to manifest that Rahlus could easily destroy alone, great amounts of emotion could result in powerful entities capable of possessing him (It should however be noted that accidentally manifesting a entity of positive emotion, such as hope or happiness, is significantly less harmful, perhaps even being beneficial, than say a entity of hate). Because of this, Rahlus would only use his own emotions to fuel spells in the absolute most dire of circumstances.
    Backstory: As a High-Philosopher, Rahlus was a member of the leading body of his home world. When the existence of other planes was discovered, he was chosen by the Arch-Philosopher to pass through a portal created by the philosophers to explore them and learn all he could about the multi-verse. Rahlus did so, and arrived in Nexus.

    Rahlus woke up after a few hours of sleep. Or was it a few hours? He had been told about the paradoxical time system of the nexus, and investigation on his part was still pending. Regardless, he was awake and well rested, albeit with a slight hangover.

    This would be his first day in the nexus he thought. I spent the first half of yesterday confused and in awe, the second half drunk. Now he was fully alert and ready to begin playing.

    As he walked into the main lobby, encrusted with food from the now over food fight, (which he hoped with all his heart he had not participated in, his memory of the previous "day" was a little blurred) he was made aware of something he had allready noted but not spent to much time dwelling on. This was a world of chaos. He had been told about the factions the "ruled" this place and was unimpressed. They were all just guilds devoted to pushing forward their ideals, or at best trying to protect the nexus from the obvious evil of total destruction. What this place lacked was a government.

    All his life Rahlus had been a part of government, and he saw law and order as the single most important trait of society. As a philosopher, he had learned how subjective the world could be, and he knew that this was unacceptable. The world could not be allowed to be subject to the whims of it's denizens, people must have free will yes but there must be a force which creates parameters that must be obeyed. Otherwise the resulting chaos would ultimately destroy free will. He could not bear to look at this place as it was, a hub for individuals of any caliber to gather and do as they wish, no doubt all the while thinking that their way of doing things was the right way. Someone to lay down the law on what is right and what isn't, while still being open to debate on those decisions. Aetherin had that in the form of the Philosophers.

    Rahlus grinned as he realized a wonderfull opportunity before him, his progress was halted in Aetherin when he became High-Philosopher, for a man greater than he held the final post. But here a void was left and he knew only himself as a acceptable placeholder.

    The Nexus needed a king.

    He would give it a Arch-Philosopher.


    Other: Rahlus has cunstructed an area called "Philosopher's Sanctorium" which exists in the plane of emotion. One can go there simply by willing themselves to. If one would like to go there (most likely to meet with Rahlus in private) simply PM me so and we can take it to Home.
