A bit insecure but in an area that he's comfortable in both of these seem to just disappear for the most part. Could be considered cute or handsome by some and is defiantly not fully a man but neither a kid, right in the acquired area of life.

    Alias: Extradimensional Reconnaissance and Gatherer Operative. Or just Ergo.

    Gender: Semi-organic automaton. Voice can be male or female. For convenience, he will be described here as male.

    Race/Species: Semi-organic automaton. Specifically, a very old one.

    Age: Has sat dormant for several hundred, or even thousands of years. Was activated approximately twelve years, four months, twenty five days, eight hours and fourteen-point-two seconds prior to the completion of this character sheet.

    Alignment: Technically neutral. Might be guided either way, depending. Some of the acts he performs for experiments and sample-gathering, however... They're less than ethical.

    Class/Profession: Terminator (as in a dangerous robit)/Scientist/Bio-geneticist

    Power Rating: C-B. Essentially, he's somewhat scalable. Though he may sometimes use very disabling attacks for the capture and study of humanoid specimens.

    Description: Somewhere between six and eight feet in height, a robot-looking thing in plated armor stands before you. His armor's color appears to be grey and red, a very flashy tone. This can change to camouflage on a whim.

    He is bulky and intimidating in stature, most of his body except the joints encased in curving, locked-together body armor and hazardous environment protectants. His lower legs curve backwards, ending in three-toed, thick feet. These gleaming feet are almost clawlike, and they look capable of gutting a grown man. His hands, too, are three fingered with a single thumb.

    His head is a pulsing, semi-organic mass of nanomachines and odd tissue, covered in wires and odd bits of technology. Well, on the inside. On the outside, it's a rounded, reddish helmet with almost no visible features. There are some slight depressions on the front and sides of the helmet, above where the mouth, nose and ears would be, to give it some character. It has a sunken, white-glass visor etched with flowing symbols and curving lines.

    Personality: Despite the fact that he's a robot, and is designed to stick to a sole purpose, Ergo was also designed for sentience. His personality has slowly developed in his time awake, and it has made some odd changes.

    First off, he despises good and evil. He finds that they're both wastes of time, and for real 'good' to occur, knowledge must be advanced. Good, in it's flaws, solves nothing in the long run. It preserves otherwise useless sentient beings, in some cases, out of belief that they're lives are worth something. He has found no reason to believe such a thing, so he tends to avoid it. However, mercy still exists in the robot's mind. And he prefers to avoid unecessary violence. Of course, this personality is subject to changes in character development.

    Still, knowledge is foremost in his goals. He believes the advancement of general knowledge should be put ahead of all other goals, for knowledge leads to the betterment of all things. In particular, he's currently trying to gain further understanding of divine and abyssal life forms and magics. It helps when you despise them both. Did I mention he believes Good and Evil, and their constant fighting, are holding back advancement of knowledge?

    Other than this, he's a generally cold, pragmatic creature. He prefers isolation to his regular jaunts out exploring the multiverse, but he realizes sitting and doing nothing won't advance knowledge. He's artistic, and is desperate to try and be creative. To leave something that's his in the multiverse. Though he enjoys gathering knowledge, he wants to leave some of his own behind when he finally shuts down. This is why he thinks so hard about morality and philosophy. He's not really sure of anything.

    But he's pretty damn close.

    Equipment: A variety of non-lethal weapons and experimental equipment. Exploratory vehicles (including space-vessels), a gigantic lab, and records. Lots of records. He keeps holo-books of every scrap of knowledge he can find, transferring information directly from his vast personal databases into his 'works'. His 'library' is very precious to him.

    He has all kinds of future tech. Short-term memory erasers, syringe guns, electrical weaponry, etc.

    And scanners, scanners, scanners. What scanners he doesn't have in his 'head' (he has two seperate 'brains'), he keeps in his lab. He can scan everything from the most minute magical levels to the precise type of matter that makes up eldritch horrors. He has tech scanners, mana scanners, psychic scanners, and so much more. Best of all, he has all kinds of extraction and capture devices to go with these scanners. He's very good at being prepared.

    This equipment, as he is a gatherer unit, is subject to little additions as things go on.

    Abilities:

    -Superhuman strength, speed, durability and endurance. He is a robit. His focus is not in strength, however, so those characters who are designed for fighting can overpower him.
    -Genius-level, logical intellect. Vast knowledge on a variety of subjects, and a very pervasive knowledge at that. However, his data-banks have limits, so he can only keep certain knowledge on hand at certain times. For example, if you want him to be able to fly a specific model of fighter jet, he needs to go and get the records from his library.
    -Able to add a limited number of 'mods' to himself for specific missions. Some of his favorites include his syringe gun, a cloaking device, a code-cracker, a jetpack, a big stun-baton, and a syringe pack. The syringe pack holds a variety of solutions in easily loadable syringes. One might boil your blood in your veins. Another might be a massive muscle relaxant. Yet another might be a magic neutralizer. Of course, he keeps a limited supply of each.
    -There might be something I've missed. This is a new CS.

    Backstory: He is one of the last remnants of a lost civilization, something I won't elaborate on right now. I might never need to. Since he woke up over a decade ago, he's hunted across the universe for new knowledge.

    The Nexus has fountains of it.

    Description: Rusty Brown scales, red eyes, but wearing a set of clothes that were supposed to be for easy work... and looking like he's been though the Abyss.
    Personality: Obedient to Drifter mainly, but if there is danger, you can expect him to be trying his best to run away from it, most likely with a half-dozen books Drifter saddled him with.
    Equipment: Other than a set of clothes, all he has is a library card. Most of the time, though, he also has a book or two, due to the tasks Drifter needs him to do.
    Abilities: A weak kobold... how weak? His story involves getting kicked out of his tribe due to being not strong enough to set a trap properly. His one advantage: running when not encombered with books.

    Backstory: Created by the Lore Grimore in response to a child's wishes, he was left alone when the Grimore dismissed all the rest of the magic. (More later, after servers save)...

    Description: She stands at about 5' 7". A young woman she could be considered very beautiful and has soft facial features and even softer looking clear blue eyes. Her brown hair falls down to her shoulders. Her skin is an almost sickly pale white and her entire frame seems like it is very fragile. Crissellea has lived most of her life inside being coddled by her parents because she was of such a sickly health. They have both passed on leaving her in charge of a very wealthy mercantile business with dozens of various branches. Her health overall has only improved slightly from her childhood.

    Backstory: As a child Crissellea was always sick. She was born sick in fact. The doctors back then said she wouldn't survive for a week, then once a week had passed they said she wouldn't last a month, then once a month and then a year they where simply astounded. In there minds no child that sick should have survived. Though this wasn't the end of doctors for her. She would regularly get colds and be in bed for a day or two recovering from it. Her parents cared for her perhaps a bit too much isolating her as a child and having so many doctors around. However on her healthy days as a child she would sometimes follower her dad around the house as he did work and she learned how to run the family business because she did this. Eventually her parents started to let her see various suitors for her hand in marriage when she was old enough. She hated all of them. What Crissellea really wanted was a knight in shining armor like she had read in the books while she was confined to bed because of sickness. Unfortunately as about the age of 19 both of her parents passed away, first her father then her mother, in about the space of a year. She has then been running the Lachonues Foundation and its subsidiaries ever since.

    Equipment: The Lobotomy, a hand-and-a-half kludged flail made from crowbar, chain, and harrow-tooth dagger. An inexhaustible supply of chocolate. A blue headband.
    Abilities, Magical: Moderate ability with time/blue/technobabble magic. Possesses, but does not use, aura and truename magic. Can power vampire powers with an infusion of vampire blood, comparable to an oWoD revenant.
    Abilities, Physical: Fights with a flail and acrobatics. Poor at dodging but good at fighting through the pain.
    Backstory: She dug her way out of the nine hells but got damaged along the way. She became an archmage, raised an army--the world ended. She dug her way out of hell again. Armageddon, again. Again and again. Some things stuck; most things didn't.
    Miscellaneous: My RP tradition allowed for polychronic time, and this one doesn't. When I write a few paragraphs about past, present, and future actions at once, it's not godmodding but an attempt to meld my presence with actions that happened out of my waking hours. GMT time zone.

    Personality: Cheerful, curious, superficially social, and amoral.
    Equipment: More junk than anyone can possibly inventory. Just trust me on this one. If I sat down and listed all the cool trinkets of necromancy, tinkering, and girlhood she's accumulated, I'd be here until Christmas.
    Abilities, Magical: Necromancy--you name it, she's done it. Also enjoys casting damage-over-time spells a la the EQ necromancer or WoW warlock.
    Abilities, Physical: Tinkering everything that can be tinkered and several things which can't. Poor dagger fighter. Excellent ability to dodge & escape.
    Backstory: Minta tangled with archmages including Tzimfemme, learned how to be one, and split rulership with Rosemary, a vampire. She bounced back from the nine hells despite writing a contract with the devil. After awhile she discovered guilds and the fun to be had in hanging around groups of (mostly) like-minded people.
    Miscellaneous: Minta's an archetype of the Cheerful Death-Obsessed Little Girl, so as long as you dot the i's in "skellie" and "gnomie", you should be good to go in partially moving her. (Godmoding Minta is approved if compatible with her personality. If not I'll just retcon it.) GMT time zone.

    Gender: Has no apparent gender.

    Race/Species: Appears slightly wolfish. No creatures in the Nexus are of the same species.

    Age: Unknown.

    Alignment: Is probably closest to lawful evil, though can be chaotic when it suits it.

    Class/Profession: Mage is closest to it. It’s not like Sunshine can’t fight too, though…

    Power Rating: B+ or perhaps a 7.

    Description: Sunshine is a huge, bipedal, vaguely wolfish-looking creature dressed in some kind of black robe, and covered in long, shaggy brownish hair. It looks to be close to eight feet tall, and has enormous hand-like 'paws' bigger than its own head, with each 'finger' ending in a long claw. Its arms stretch down to where, at a guess, its knees would be. It has a long snout and piercing yellow eyes on the front of its head, and slight tufts of hair where you would expect its ears to be. When it speaks, it reveals long, sharp teeth that look as though they could rip your head from your body quite happily.

    Personality: Pursues power as much as anything else, in a logical kind of way. Sunshine is happy to suck up to those above it to gain favour, and is equally happy to rip their faces off to take their position. It respects those with more power than it, and tends not to bother much with those it considers below.

    Equipment: Seems to pull books out of nowhere at times. That apart, nothing.

    Abilities: Sunshine has a wide variety of spells, hexes and suchlike at its disposal, both elemental and non-elemental. Just about all of them are offensive, but it can perform basic healing too, as well as teleport short distances. It also has great natural strength, and its skin is remarkably tough. Its claws are also extremely hard. A bit of a tough cookie.

    Backstory: TBA

    Miscellaneous: Sunshine only gives pronouns to those it has immense respect for.

    Sunshine will occasionally wander out of wherever it is staying, and seemingly just walk into the wilderness, not returning for hours. A skilled, well-hidden tracker might be able to follow Sunshine and find out where it goes.

    In the event of Sunshine dying, its body will disappear. Some time later, Sunshine will reappear, seemingly resurrected.

    Destroyer, there'll be another just like you... (OK, so it's not technically a werewolf. Close enough.)

    Abilities: Rae is a master of Denimancy. (description of Denimancy to come soon, it really is quite complicated). Also a Blue Lantern. He can fly using his wings, and his touch is harmful to those weak against holy energy when he has his wings out.

    Description: A regular human of average height and weight for his age. He usually dresses in blue jeans, a T-shirt, and boots. His head is shaved and his eyes are a brilliant blue.
    Equipment: Modern pistol in a holster on his belt at all times. He also has a knife in his left boot and a smart phone. He carries a large array of weapons and equipment in a long steel case with many locks and clasps. The contents include but are not limited to: an assault rifle, a grenade launcher, a sniper rifle, various grenades, bullet proof vest, helmet, army rations, sleeping bag, flare gun, emergency cell phone, ect. ect. The case is magically enlarged on the inside, of course.
    Abilities: Some basic magic powers that manifest at times of great stress and emotion, usually as a silver light that physically manipulates things. He has extensive survival training and excels at aiming and using most guns, though he is not trained to fight swords and other medieval melee weapons. Can speak "Haliaeetic", which is the language of some birds of prey from his universe.
    Backstory: Comes from an alternate Earth universe where gods are physical manifestations of various animal species. The animal gods fought among each other for human followers (who gives them their power) and divided up the world into theocracies, which all strangely resemble real-Earth countries. SE23 comes specifically from a county ruled by a Bald Eagle god, Lord Leuco. The boy himself is an orphan who was used in complex military experiments (shoot magic radiation at him) to give him magical powers. The Super-Soldier project was scrapped, however, so they sent the children away. SE23 wound up being sent to PACK.

    Equipment: Personal? She has Discreet Essence Armor (forcefield generators). Apart from that, whatever the heck she makes.
    Abilities: As a Twilight Caste Solar Exalted, Karen has many and varied abilities. In her case, mostly relating to Sorcery and craftsmanship. She is capable of making magical artifacts, if she has the correct materials, and she has the use of several spells. In close combat, she tends to have a 'smash 'em up' style, utilising Solar Hero Style.

    Race/Species: Mostly human, with some grafted parts and 20% protein content.

    Age: 1 year old to Infinity, depending on your understanding of space/time

    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Crazy

    Class/Profession: Mad Scientist.

    Power Rating: On the Quinsar scale 24, on the Neon Knight scale B. This is however subject to change dependent on how ell equipped he is, fully equipped he's A- to A or 30 on the Quinsar scale, while without any of his equipment (including various added body parts) he's a zero on any scale.

    Description: Riv looks pretty average for a human, black hair, average height. He does however wear a combination lab coat/duster, and a very fancy set of goggles he's constantly altering.

    Personality: Odd. He lacks all knowledge of social norms, does not understand the words "safety", "no" and "acceptable collateral damage" and is perfectly willing to discuss things that would make normal people (Normal people in Nexus? Fat chance.) retch. Other than that and being a supervillain, he's a pretty nice guy.

    Equipment: The list would take up all the storage space on the net.

    Backstory: Riv was born with a talent for techno-magic, the ability to channel magic through wires, circuit boards and any other piece of tech handy. Sadly Riv simply didn't have the patience for tech-wizardry, prefering a kind of magic that would let him just blow stuff up instead of transforming a integrated circuit into a technological wonder capable of quadrupling a computers processing speed, seriously, that stuff was boring. So instead he became a mad scientist and now enjoys a exciting career of blowing stuff up, fighting eldritch abominations and being possessed by his own mustache.

    A lot of gold. Half a dragon hoard, in fact.
    Generic ye olde weapons (like sabres, cutlasses, scimitars, muskets, shotguns, shanks)
    Clothes (range from outrageous "Cap'n Jack Sparrow" pirate outfits to regular street clothes) The most noticeable of these is an elaborate ermine-fur cloak. Hopefully not made from people she knew.
    A wands is made of willow and creates growing plants and fungi, while the other is helliron and creates hellfire while inflicting pyromania and psychopathy on the user.
    A bag with magically regenerating rocks, which come in three types; "mint", "rosemary" and "pepper". When smashed, the mint is a flash-bang, the rosemary creates a splash of acid, and the pepper is a sonic bomb.

    Backstory: Bast was one of the Old Ones, hanging around with all her other eldritch abomination buddies at the dawn of time. I don't know exactly their backstory, so Rebo would need to fill stuff in. Anyway, instead of getting kicked out of Earth or locked away to slumber for all eternity like her kin, Bast got a sweet gig as Goddess of Cats for the Egyptians. She wasn't actually such a cat person, more tentacle-y, before this worship, but the human faith molded her form, temperament, and power. Eventually, some humans realized having a fickle little kitty with godlike powers wasn't a good idea, so she was locked away in the actual form of a small black kitten, only able to unlock her potential after the mortal form died. To solve this, the wizards who locked her away gave the cat nine increasingly stronger lives so it wouldn't ever die, as well as the ability to devour the life of others. Such a monster was much preferable to an unleashed Bast. And now the kitten romps around the Nexus, waiting to find someone to kill it dead nine times or for the Stars to be Right.


    And, now in the Nexus alongside THAT CAT are the starspawn Anippe, Chione, Fukayna, and Akila! Each usually appears as a sphinx or a black and white cat, and they all have the ability to influence or outright control minds, as well as psychically communicate with their mother if she's Awake.

    Earth is a minor power. He gains pretty good low-light vision, but not much else.

    Equipment: A magically fitting tuxedo with magic pockets full of random enchanted knickknacks. A large monocle. A top hat. All of which regenerate if destroyed.
    Abilities: Can summon giant spikes out of the ground and air. Can magically amplify its voice to destroy the sound barrier and ear drums. Can take souls. If it eats anything, it magically adds that thing's mass to its own, growing in size.
    Backstory: (From a video game. Cookie if you guess it.) Comes from a dimension that is ruled by a UN-like organization that solves international disputes with gladiatorial arena matches. Was a combatant in it, did not like it one bit, got sent to the NEXUS through some weird happenstance.

    Power Rating: Medium. He's got superhuman qualities of resilience and speed but is dependant on other people for sustenance. He's also not any stronger than a human or anything.
    Description: Tall for a human teen; Pale skin and green eyes that glow a little. Elegantly Handsome in a cold way, hard lines and strong jawline. Walks like he's ready to dodge something or sprint away. He wears a grey t-shirt and black trousers. He sometimes wears work gear, and wears mirrored sunglasses when he wants to hide his green glowing eyes.
    Personality: A little depressing to be around, not because he lacks charisma (Far from it) or because he's not nice, but he is draining a small ammount of your emotion from you. Charismatic, fun, and eloquent; he likes to jest and make friends. He occasionally seems to stop and think, then launches into an energetic passage.
    Equipment: Small knife, swiss army knife, and also a pair of mirrored glasses. He's got a little book which he records things in, and a pendant (leaf made of an unknown metal) he wears round his neck.
    Abilities: Being more resilient to a normal human and being immortal, that's a strength of his. He's also got some quickness but he's still just as strong as a teenager. He can't enter places without permission, and has to recoil from holy symbols. He's vulnerable to sunlight and holy water.

    However, he can use his vampiric ability of draining emotion to good uses, for example, draining fear away from soldiers, or calming the angry mob. However, doing so costs him the emotions he's taken.

    He's got a bit of training in a large variety of things, mainly picked up from various odd jobs and apprenticeships. (Depending on the universe he's in)

    Backstory: Born to vampires, Dante's been a natural vampire for his 16 years of life. In the early years of his life, his parents were hunted down and killed; Part of the general prejudice against vampires. He fled and worked odd jobs by the vampire age of 8, working in libraries, workshops and other places where outside was not required and he could hide his vampirism. Aqquiring a fair ammount of generalist skills in a variety of areas, Dante's got a knack for for picking things up quickly and is skillful for his age.

    At the age of 12, Dante joined the military, where he served as an advisor for field captains and an aide to engineers. He discovered his vampiric abilities could be handy in combat, calming the beserk enemy and draining the fear of his allies. However, such emotional tramau leads Dante to become severely depressed; He offset it by engaging in sex of duty, enjoying the raw emotion and uplift that it brought him. Now, he's trying to turn a new leaf over and so is looking for something more meaningful, and someone else.
    Miscellaneous: Dante will die if he does not feed properly in 5 days. The emotions he can live off must come from intelligent living beings who can feel emotions.

    Ghost: He forever has a ghost named Ellen that is a female version of him following him around. Only he can naturally see Ellen. Ellen has her own personality and mind. Ellen can possess objects and weak-minded people (NPCs) but not strong-minded people (PC's). Ellen forever serves as an adviser and spy for Wally, able to go place he can't. However Ellen has a spiritual bond to Wally that prevents going to far away from him, the same thing that allows Wally to see and hear her in the first place.
    When Ellen possesses Wally himself, it allows him to see spirits and his sword to touch spirits.
    Backstory:
    Ellen has always been with Wally even when they were children. Wally always tried to let people know about Ellen, but everyone assumed it was just a kid having an imaginary friend. Little does either of them know that Ellen is Wally’s twin sister that died in childbirth.
    Ellen continued following Wally into his teenage years, by then they had become fast friends. Ellen experimented with her powers, possessing people and objects to help Wally to pull pranks or to help people out. However one day a curious possessed Wally and Wally found he could see, hear, and touch all spirits.
    Soon Wally found out about malicious spirits that give people trouble and do evil. So he bought a sword and struck out on his own to battle the spirits with the help of Ellen- as well help people along the way. He has been spirit-hunting for years now and his best friend is the spirit following right beside him, Ellen.
    Miscellaneous:
    Wally can only talk to Ellen out loud, making him seem like a crazy person to all the people who can’t see and hear spirits.

    Equipment: Alexander wears either a suit or a black-plated heavy stealth armor suit with assorted weapons hidden within including an energy beam (right arm) sword, a laser((chest weapon), a minigun (left arm), spiked boots, and a blade extending from his forearms in a half elipse for slashing. The suit does not have any hidden weapons in it but has pockets for carrying random objects. Alex generally stows a high caliber pistol, a dagger with blood gutters, a good amount of platinum, a mask, dark robes, an identity card, and a hologram projector in these pockets. Alex has recently obtained a runed sword labeled Patronus forged of star metal which emits dark energy rays when swung (these rays are mainly for show but they do make the sword more powerful than it would be if it wasn't attached) which he currently uses as his primary weapon.
    Abilities: Martial Proficiency, Precision Shooter, Mechanist, Basic Legal Training, Exceptional Writer, Persuasive, Quick Reflexes, Intelligent, High Pain Tolerance, High Determination, Doesn't Feel Remorse, Loyal, Tactician, Fencer, Semi-Skilled Runner, Logic, Command Voice, Hacking Skills (Only when in Armor), Can Cloak in Armor and Use Light to Make it Seem as Though He Is Somewhere Else or There Are More of Him
    Backstory: This male was born to a family of modest means. He was exposed to many different societies and learned high morals as he was brought up. He was instructed in a variety of subjects as he studied to become the top scholar for his age. He also took a highly active role in his community. One day, he returned home to find his family threatened by a gang. He promptly eradicated the gang's presence in his town and was linked to several murders after which he began to learn various fighting methods, tactics, and psychology. He was first exposed to mechanics through his mother who served as a mechanical engineer for a manufacturing company in the town. He was recently a target of the gang which was to receive retribution for the death of the members of the chapter of the gang in town. He dispatched a few of the gang members then, noticing too many of them were present to deal with, he rapidly carved the symbol of a flame into his chest that split himself into two parts (darkness and light). When the wound stopped bleeding, the two halves merged to form him again. Word spread that two strangers had slaughtered a dozen or so people in town. These events led Alexander to be sent to Nexus to salvage what was left of his life (additionally, everyone that knew him in his own town was slightly fearful and suspicious of him, including his parents who sent him away because they feared for their safety, not his). He was possessed by his grandfather during these killings and went insane when that soul left him. He was cured when he saw his reflection. He then went to seek out his master, Lord Thadius, who had instructed him in tactics. After Alex had left the town it had been torched by the gang and everyone was killed except Lord Thadius who turned to the powers of darkness to survive this event. When Alex found his master in this state, he decided to join him, becoming his apprentice. Together they plot against the land known as the Nexus with a number of automatons they constructed to support them.
    Miscellaneous: He may be rich and powerful but he is not a magical princess. He is a semi-skilled runner because, when faced by a significant amount of adversity he will flee!

    Backstory: Spawned from Alex's burning desire for revenge and genetic enhancement endeavors (mainly using information compiled from his suit's monitors), this creature cannot speak.

    Description: They now stand, six feet tall, tattered robes, glowing red pupils, blue biomass under a polished crystaline exterior. About the normal size of a human, but without remorse...without love or capacity to trust. Nothing but the crystal lining the body and the glowing eyes. Out of where his hand once was there protrudes a blade, honed to a fine edge. His other hand remains nearly unchanged, except for the fact that there are no longer fingernails and a pulsing light is being emitted from this weapon. No organs seem to be suspended in the fluid in the body...it is, by all definitions of the phrase an alien creature. And it was created for a singular purpose...to destroy all who stand in its path.

    Abilities: Remorseless, Cannot Speak, Completely Obedient, Immune to Mind Alterations, Can Shoot Energy From One Hand, Decent Swordfighting, Decent Armor, Neural Uplink to Pyborne and Thadius as well as to other abominations

Instead, there is one very large, uncarved, completely ordinary pumpkin resting there. WTF.
    Alternate Description, by Slii Arhem: A plump, squat, rotund, wicked gourd the color of baked yams bathed in the sunlight of a dusk seen through the milky clouds of a factory’s smokestack, and every indented line along the circumference of the pumpkin’s surface is the bruised color of a rusted burnt orange Studebaker and their sum total gave the impression, when looking at them slightly askew, of a frown, a scowl, a glower so fierce it stared into the soul of the watcher no matter what angle it was looked upon from, but its stem, so gnarled, twisted and hooked into a curl that closed the loop of a sole strand of curly hair on its vegetative head, gave it a hidden air of whimsy, coupled with the smell of fresh pumpkin pie, fresh manure and wholesome ground spices that disarmed those pondering its purpose even as the suit it sat on disarmed them more literally, by ripping their arms off and beating them to death for writing about its appearance instead of attempting to flee it.
    Personality: As if it's not bad enough that Mr. What, having no vocal cords, mouth, or magical abilities, is entirely incapable of speaking, he's also gotten into the habit of using his large collection of knives, daggers, and miscellaneous pointy things as an violent communications alternative. He stabs to say hi, to say he likes you, to say he doesn't like you, to idly chat about how the weather, to stop you from carving a jack o' lantern in his face, to ask how you're doing...he stabs for just about everything, really.
    Equipment: What carries a large assortment of blades, wears a bulletproof jacket underneath his suit, and has a large orange pumpkin where his head should be.
    Abilities: What Pumpkin is quite talented in murdering people with sharp things, accidentally misplacing his "head", keeping his suit nice and tidy, and murdering people with sharp things. Yes, it does need to be said twice.
    Backstory: After running into a bit of trouble in another dimension very similar to Nexus, Mr. What decided to shirk his fatherly duties and run off to another, eerily similar dimension, where he intends to murder people and then get paid for it, just like he did last time. Gods know what he even plans on doing with the cash, though. Maybe he uses it to buy replacement pumpkins?

    Description: A rugged looking young man of apparent Nordic decent. Has what some might consider an attractively masculine jaw line. Though others might say it makes his face seem slightly to “long” to be truly “handsome”. He sports a constant 5 o’clock shadow that would perhaps be more noticeable if his facial hair did not seem to be a pale blond. His narrow eyes have an inquisitive gleam in them that stands out against the pale blue of his irises. His long dirty blond hair sprout’s from a slightly receding hairline that forms a widow’s peak over his forehead. His hair itself reaches the middle of his back and is slicked and tied back in a single tail by a worn leather band. His skin tone is pale but seems to have a “worn” quality to it that one usually associates with those who’s professions keep them outdoors for prolong periods of time such a sailors, farmers and loggers.

    His build is lean and tall standing about 6ft 2inches tall and weight’s around 230 pounds. While he lacks the obviously strength oriented frame of a bodybuilder his musculature is well developed in an “athletic” build that one sees on parkour traceur’s. Elijah’s usual attire scream’s functionality over style. He wears hiking boots and short fingered leather gloves over his hands and feet. A pair of well worn, coarse grained navy jeans and a plain deep green T-Shirt cover his legs and torso. His only fashion indulgences seem to be the black soft leather jacket that he wears over his T-shirt and a small bone carved trinket secured on a leather cord around his neck. He seems to have the scent of tree bark and mist about him.

    In his other forms Elijah looks markedly different.

    His near-human or “Dalu” form looks similar to his normal human aspect with a few changes. Firstly he grows about a foot and gains around 50 pounds of mass, becoming boarder and more heavy set. His facial features take on a more angular and lupine, his iris colour shifts towards an amber gold. His finger nails elongate and grow thinker into rudimentary claws and all his facial and body hair thickens up and becomes a more pure blond.

    His near-wolf or “Urshul” form appears as a huge wolf with fur the colour of ripe wheat corn. In this form he stands at 4 feet at the shoulder and is about 7 feet long from snout to tail.

    His pure wolf or “urhan” form appears as a perfectly normal wolf with slightly lighter coloured blond fur.

    His wolf-man/war-form or “Gauru” form he stands at around 8ft 6inches and weights around 550 pounds. In this form wicket claws sprout from his hands and the lupine features that his face takes on are exaggerated with a large snout and rending fangs. In this form he maintains a bipedal mode of transport but can run and jump well beyond human ability, he likewise retains opposable thumbs. His fur in this form is the same as his Urshul form.


    Personality: Elijah has a somewhat stoic manner that makes him seem a little stand offish. He does not suffer fools and some have said he has a short fuse, though he is as quick to forgive as he is to anger. He likes to play dumb so others underestimate him; it’s easier to trick them that way. He has many acquaintances and associates but few friends; once you have won his loyalty he will go any distance for you. His worldview is one which tries to reduce everything, be it a problem or school of thought down to its most simple components. He likes to smoke cigars but has no other real vices.

    Equipment: Apart from the clothes on his back Elijah carries little in the way of equipment. A box of matches, a ten pack of cigars, a wristwatch, his wallet with cash, cards and id in. A couple small leather pouches with certain ritual ingredients in e.g. rock shards, herbs or small animal bones or feathers. The one weapon of note is a bowie knife that is strapped to the back of his belt under his jacket. It has some odd script carved into it and looks slightly antique. It's a fetish (an item with a spirit trapped in) which has a elemental (stone) spirit trapped in it. This makes the blade unnaturally strong and sharp and allows the knife to cut insubstantial creatures such as ghosts and spirits.

    Abilities: As a Uratha gives Elijah access to a great many supernatural abilities. These abilities can be divided into three categories: Innate, Gifts and Rites.

    A werewolf’s innate abilities are as follows:-

    They can shape shift as detailed above in the “description” section. They regenerate damage much quicker than normal humans and by spending some of the magical resource they harvest (Essence) they can heal damage almost instantaneously. They have a supernatural resistance to toxins and diseases that means they are hard to intoxicate and immune mundane diseases. They can sense, see and talk to spirits (animistic personifications of different things in the world e.g. a spirit of fear or the spirit of a house). They have in their non human forms a supernatural sense of smell, hearing and taste. They live longer than humans with the oldest werewolves reaching about 150 years old before dying.

    They take horrible damage from silver weapons and have a slight aversion to silver full stop.

    Gifts are supernatural abilities gifted to werewolves by spirits the older and more accomplished the werewolf the more gifts they are likely to have. Elijah’s primary function is a stalker, spy and scout though he also stands vigil over certain areas of territory. As such his gifts are focused on stealth, intuition, tracking and sudden attack.

    Elijah's has five Gift “paths” each of which has 1-5 levels with one power at each level:-

    Evasion Gifts:-
    1.) Allows him to make people open up in conversation and more likely to blab secrets.
    2.) Make it hard to notice or remember his presence in a room or at a meeting.
    3.) Fake his own death for up to a period of 24 hours if needed.
    4.) Can supernaturally become aware of physical attempts to deceive or mislead e.g. hiding evidence or mislead people following a trail. He cannot pick up on social deception this way however.

    Nature Gifts:-
    1.) Can speak with animals.

    New Moon Gifts:-
    1.) Elijah can sense a person’s weakness or main character flaw e.g. derangements, major vice or physical flaw e.g. lame or blind.
    2.) He can escape mundane bonds or another’s grasp.
    3.) Can cause slight visual hallucinations to distract opponents from his activities in a fight.
    4.) Appear to naturally “fit in” to whatever location he is located in, seeming unimportant and uninteresting.

    Stalker Gifts:-

    1.) Can see perfectly in natural darkness even in normal human form.
    2.) Always knows where he is exactly and how to get back “home” from that location as long as he can look at the night sky.
    3.) Can sense other supernatural being nearby through his sense of smell, each gives off a unique sent so distinctions can be made.
    4.) Can walk into any natural occurring shadow and emerge from another anywhere within 20-100 yards away.
    5.) Summon a pack of 3 “shadow” wolves to aid him for up to a minute before returning back to the shadows.

    Stealth Gifts:-
    1.) Can become almost impossible to track through scent.
    2.) As long as he stays still he can supernaturally “blend” into his surrounding environment appearing as a landscape feature. So in a bar he may appear as a broken bar stool in a corner as opposed to a person.
    3.) Can move at any speed (even a sprint) while not making any sound or drawing attention to his movement.
    4.) Can turn into a living shadow as long as adequate shadows are available and maintain that form as long as enough shadow coverage lasts. Becomes partially insubstantial and 2D so can fit under doors and through key-holes, cannot really interact with the 3D world however e.g. attack people or pick up objects.
    5.) Can become invisible to all visual senses e.g. eye’s, camera’s, heat sensors and motion detectors. Does remain physical however and can be tracked using other senses e.g. scent, sound and touch.


    Rites are magical invocations to spirits to produce a certain result e.g. swearing binding oaths or setting up wards and such. Rites unlike gifts always require time to prepare and enact and most usually require particular ritual trappings e.g circles of salt and such. In Uratha culture rituals are usually learned by those werewolves seeking to become mystics however some smaller rites are usually taught to normal pack members as well.

    (Rank 1) Rite of Fair Warning:- Warns new werewolves they have entered another’s territory.
    (Rank 2) Banish Spirit:- Forces a spirit out of the physical world.
    (Rank 2) Blessing of the Spirit Hunt:- Allows a werewolf to physically harm spirit in the physical world.
    (Rank 2) Call Gafaing:- Summons a weak, minor spirit to the werewolf.
    (Rank 2) Rite of the Hunters Howl:- Gives the hunter of hunters involved in the ritual an energy boost and supernaturally bolsters their resolve before the hunt begins.


    Backstory: Elijah was born in 1934 in St Andrews Scotland. The son of a British Army Major Michael Talbot and his wife Gabriella Talbot the governess of the local school. Before WW2 occurred they had planned to move down to London for better prospects. However with the onset of the war the family remained in Scotland until 1949. After which his family moved to Kent in South England. Were his parents remained for the rest of their day's.

    Elijah himself was a boy of contrasts, he was brave but sneaky (though some called him cunning), he was a loner despite being on many of the schools committees and athletic teams, he was confident in his opinions and views and yet shy to express anything personal about himself. He was always the “quite one” in any group activity or committee meeting; he would just sit there almost forgotten and listen to the things said, working them out in his head, and fading into the background until he was ignored. He was always the odd one out and the one that fell into the backdrop, making things work but taking none of the credit.

    Entering his mid teens he felt directionless, as with most things in his life he felt that solutions were simple once you could properly figure out the problem. His problem was that he could not figure out the problem of his life and what to do with it. He eventually decided (largely due to family trips back up to Scotland) that he enjoyed the great outdoors and mountaineering and wanted to pursue a career that would allow him to interact with such an environment on a day to day basis.

    At aged 16 while out camping during one such family holiday he experienced his “first change” into a werewolf. It was an experience he could make neither head nor tails of for over a month after it happened and he often wondered if he had dreamed the whole thing. It was only the shredded tent and the fact he had woken up naked a mile from his campsite that made Elijah sure that the strange events of that night occurred. The change made him feel more confident though and his shyness melted away in the following month. Though the odd whispers and occurrences that happened around him after that point often put him ill at ease and made him miss more than one night’s worth of sleep.

    A month and a half after his change he ran into the group of people that would become his pack for the next 50 years while back in Kent. They explained to him his nature and his responsibilities and initiated him into their culture. It came as no surprise to him when they explained he was Irraka a werewolf who first changed under the new moon, traditionally the stalkers, fixers and spies of werewolf society. He naturally gravitated towards a werewolf sect called “The Hunters in Darkness”, whose roll it was to maintain and protect the natural cycles of the physical and spirit worlds and to look after important items, place and people.

    Description: An old man with a slight limp, he uses a cane to get around. Pretty decent looking for his age, though certainly won't win a lookers competition. His friendly smile does more to light up his face than his actual features do. His almost completely white hair that contrast with his dark blue eyes. Doctor Stroffelnburg is always immaculately dressed in his labcoat and white pants and white shoes. Perhaps the only things that aren't white are his cane and his tie.

    Personality: A generally friendly and polite person, Doctor Stroffelnburg dreams of a cured Nexus. He is however, quite serious about his work.

    Equipment: Has his own psychiatric hospital which has quite a few specialized instruments to use to help achieve his goals. The hospital sits in a null zone that seems to mess with scrying, telepathy, electronics, and other long range communications.

    Abilities: He's a skilled psychiatric doctor with a bit of a forceful bent. He's also a strong nullifier. Eldritch blasts of doom roll right off him. Telepathy gathers no insight into his mind. Super speed is suddenly matched by Doctor Stroffelnburg moving just as fast. Shift into a bear and claw him and his skin hardens to the point where it's just like humans clawed into him. Of course, this means he's vulnerable to conventional weaponry or anything that could reasonable exist in a 'normal' world. He's no fighter, so punches, knives, and guns can all take him out quickly without much resistance.

    Furthermore, he has the ability to give these abilities to others through complicated brain surgery. However, it comes with a price, stripping the person of any other abilities they may have had, as well as their ability to see anything but a 'normal world'. People all look human, and though some of them have strange conditions, others just translate straight from what they are to normal humans. For instance, goblins are seen as midgets in the conventional modern day use of the word, while orcs just look like the person you passed in the street. It is this belief that holds together the nullifying powers. Should the belief be lost and the person slip back into the Nexus Insanity, they revert, losing their ability to nullify. The surgery can also be reversed by a talented brain surgeon who has knowledge the procedure that Doctor Stroffelnburg used.

    Miscellaneous: Believes the world to be a normal place and the people in the Nexus to be suffering from Nexus Insanity. He aims to cure them and reintegrate them into a functioning society. The scary thing is, based on his inexplicable abilities and beliefs, he might actually be right.

    Personality: Fairly bland personality wise, they seem to have a fanaticism for working as minions for Doctor Stroffelnburg. They're never seen separate, always working in threes so all their senses are covered. Or maybe they're just really best buds.

    Equipment: Often drive white unmarked vans, carry a variety of sedatives for injection, carry nightsticks, tasers, and the occasional straight jacket.

    Abilities: Have a psychic connection to the two others in their group that allows them to sense what their compatriots are sensing, so long as they remain close together. In other words, Ears and Mouth see what Eyes see, Mouth and Eyes hear what Ears hears, and Eyes and Ears speak through Mouth. For most intents and purposes they are as one, though they can be separated and as a result, blinded or deafened or unable to eat.

    Backstory: Not available at this time.

    Miscellaneous: Nullified people see these orderly groups as single persons. These groups themselves are NOT nullified, and therefore vulnerable to all things as normal.

    Description: If there's any way to describe her, I'd have to say that she puts the UGH in Fugly. She's a spindly old bat, frequently seen hunched over. Large, baggy brown robes covers much of her features, but her piercing blue eyes and crooked nose say enough.

    Personality: Probably a grumpy old thing. Or maybe makes cookies for people before assassinating them. I'm really not sure yet. One of those, play it out and see characters. She definitely has a distinguished air about her though.

    Equipment: A variety of Power Orbs.

    Created when someone gives up either certain powers, or memories, or emotions. See below. They enable a person to temporarily borrow those powers, memories, etc. for a limited period of time.

    Abilities: She can remove people's powers, memories, emotions, etc and turn them into Power Orbs. This can be done forcefully, but takes a huge deal of effort on her part and tends to be resistible means she only attempts this as an absolute last ditch effort to escape a deadly situation. As a result, Anya usually only uses this ability on the willing, and often does so as part of deals she barters. The source of this ability is an ancient necklace, something she conceals under her baggy clothing, making it almost impossible to see without x-ray vision or something similar.

    Abilities: Jaq is accomplished in the making of explosive devices. The way she makes them seems odd (who knew you could fit so many pushpins into a soup can and still leave room for the explody bit?) but they're quite effective.
    She is okay at hand-to-hand combat, I suppose, but would rather drop a smokescreen and leg it off to somewhere nice and far away.
    And then there's her Posy. It's a formidable magical device whose effects will be made up by me as I go along.

    Dark goggles. Clothes made of woven grass and clouds, with a an armored coat decorated with green-dyed feathers over it. A pair of swords are crossed on her back, one with a feathered tuft at the pommel, the other with a handle that was visibly broken and repaired.
    Personality: Curious, full of questions, full of hope and good expectations and energy and speed and joy and even attention.

    Burning Winds - A bright katana with a formerly broken handle, worn over her back. Gives perfect knowledge of all past, present, and future atrocities. Object 525 of 538. May they never come together.
    Bone Knife - A six-inch blade with a finely made cloud handle, worn at her side. When activated, the blade seeps a powerful flesh-dissolving acid.
    Hunting Sword - A second katana, with blade and hilt shaped from a single long bone, wrapped with leather to form a handle, with a single feather attached to a pommel ring. Has the same acidic powers as the knife. Worn crossed with Burning Winds.
    Ring of Ventriloquism - Lets one throw their voice without moving their lips.
    Ring of Clairvoyance - Let's Chevin see through another's eyes at a distance. Set with a tiny piece of feldspar and worn on the left hand.
    Golden Inca Mask - Turns the wearer a solid gold color and lets them see magical effects, with different types appearing as different colors.
    Bracelet of Shortening - 1-time loss of 6 inches of height, down to a minimum of 3 feet. Worn on her left hand.
    Riverside Ring - This crude brass ring, set with a piece of blood-red glass, causes the wearer's hair to form dreadlocks.
    Animating Wand - This crystalline wand gives life to inanimate objects. Best used on giant golden statues in your image.
    Green Dragon Poison - A powerful paralytic, particularly effective against dragons.
    Emergency Stim - Not a toy. For emergency use only. Consists of combat-boosting drugs and medical nanobots.
    Bonewraith Skull - A small skull, worn on a cord off the right side of her belt, this makes all the user's attacks more damaging and drains away the energy/magic of the opponent.
    Periapt of True Sight - A small blue glass in an intricate bronze frame, this grants the person who looks through it a true seeing effect for up to one hour per day. Chevin wears it as a necklace.
    Shadow Dust - Ground up shadows in a vial.
    Potion of Sexual Orientation Bending - 'Useful for seducing Moffs'. Might find a use for this someday.
    Abilities: Weaving, piloting, language translations, swordfighting.
    Backstory:To be revealed and made up as I go along. 'Cept for the part that she left her flying-island home as they all do at this to see the world. And where a storm flipped her into the skies of the Nexus.

    Age: Just short of 1000. Alex knows its nearly survived a millenium, but isn't yet a Methuselah

    Alignment: Oh dear. Alex basically doesn't operate on the same moral scale as humans. For all intents and purposes though, it tends to act in a NE, or CE, manner

    Class/Profession: Currently an assassin

    Power Rating: About A odd

    Description: Alex has no fixed form, and has forgotten what it used to look like. It tends to go for tall and beautifully androgynous, with very pale skin, and weird but alluring bone protrusions. Hot in the same way a daemonette is.

    Personality: Alex has lived for 1000 odd years, and seen nearly everything. It stopped thinking like a human 7-800 years ago. It stopped thinking like a vampire 3-400 years ago. It is becoming more bored and apathetic over time, and constantly seeks for something new to entertain it. Recently it decided that being an assassin with rules and a code of conduct may be more entertaining than wanton mass murder. It is a sado-masochist, as all ancient hedonists are wont to become. It tends towards emotional dead outside of hurting, fleshsculpting, and killing things. It considers itself an artist.

    Equipment: Wealth.

    Abilities: Now we're talking! Three parts here.

    (Vampiric condition:) Alex operates under Vampire the Masquerade rules, modified to be more NEXUS friendly. It is essentially immortal and unaging unless something kills it. It is burned by sunlight and fire, and feels a deep urge to flee the later. It can improve its physical capabilities at will. A stake through the heart will paralyse it until the wood is removed. However, all of it's other organs and bodily processes are vestigial. When it rests, it appears as a corpse, and must sleep in soil of it's native land. Antagonising it too much may cause it to flip out and frenzy.

    (Disciplines:) In mechanical terms, Alex has around 6-7 in Vicissitude, 5 Dominate, 4 Auspex, 4 Animalism, 3 Potence, 3 Fortitude, 3 Celerity, 2 Obfuscate, and possibly others. In order, this means:

    Vicissitude: Gives powerful flesh and bonecrafting, on itself and others. other than simply manipulating form, provides a winged warform, the ability to turn into a sentient mass of vitae, acidic blood (alien style), and the ability to gift someone with a sort of degenerative flesh rot.

    Dominate: Gives mind control effectively, up to including complex conditioning and possession. Requires Eye contact

    Auspex: Gives massively heightened senses, aura perception, limited divination, and telepathy

    Animalism: Control over beasts. Gives the ability to speak to, control, summon, and possess animals.

    Potence: Supernatural Strength

    Celerity: Supernatural quickness

    Fortitude: Supernatural endurance

    Obfuscate: Gives the ability to become unnoticeable while not attaracting attention


    (Skills:) Alex is a master mimic, able to imitate almost anyone it has observed. It is a very skilled combatant in a variety of styles. No real experience with guns or modern technology. Pretty good bank of knowledge, although it spent more time killing than learning.

    Backstory: As if it would tell you. It is old, and bored, and likes killing.
