    Default Xbox Live Question

Okay, so I was trying to think of how to make this a succinct enough question to use in a search bar, but I got nothin'. Thus: I need to know if there's some way you can hook your 360 up to your laptop and use the laptop to access the Internet for a connection for Xbox Live.

The process of sharing an internet connection from one device to another can generally be referred to as "tethering."

Assuming you have a laptop with Windows 7, the following instructions will work: (shamelessly stolen from a website I don't care to credit)

    1. Plug you Ethernet cable into your laptop and your Xbox 360
    2. Second, you'll need to open up the start button
    3. Then click Control Panel
    4. Choose Network and Internet
    5. Choose Network and Sharing Center
    6. On the left side, choose Change Adapter Settings
    7. Control click both of the files that are here
    8. Right-Click one of them and click Bridge Connections
    9. A new file should appear and now you have wireless Xbox Live!

If your laptop does not run Windows 7, Googling for "Tether Xbox 360 to laptop Windows [EDITION HERE]" should turn up something usable.
