    Default Godhood IC

[[Hello Gents and Ladies! Remember from the rules, you get two acts per turn, and these acts are used to create your realms, creatures, artifacts, and.. anything!

Please post your flavor like this, and your acts like this for ease of reading. You can also color your talking some color that you think represents your god/creature of yours that your talking for.

OOC Thread here, and Wiki is here[/S]

And now (drumroll please!), the enterence text. If you don't want to read it, Summary at the bottom:]]

Vamor shot between the planets and stars, shouting with rage. It was burning! All of it was burning! He saw a planet careen into another one, setting of an earsplitting explosion of sound, light and fire, which was barely noticed by the armies warring on the nearby planets. His armada of voidships were fighting with another armada, discarded hunks of metal careening down into the atmospheres of Agiet, his home.

He saw ten large enemy frigates bearing down on him, bearing their cannons and ready to shoot him. He had almost done it, he had almost conquered the entire universe! But no, it was not to be. They closed down on him, with their godly commander staring at him from the deck of one. God of war my omnipresent ass, more like god of death. "You shall be destroyed for what you did to my people! You hear me?! DESTROYED!!" Shouted the angry god from his vantage point. It would end here, for vamor atleast. His plan failed, his armies shattered, his power low, he was hopeless. "Ill show you!" thought vamor, "I may be going down, but you must come down with me! I will not fade as a passing idol! I will not DIE!!" And with that thought, in a fit of rage, Vamor concetrated all his will as a god, burning out his energies. He took his axe, and ripped a hole in the void, strait to the ether, the place where godly power comes from. First his rip was small, but it grew bigger, and bigger, and- BOOM..

He could only look as the universe was sucked into itself, creating a large ball of light at the center. Eons of work flowed past him, all the warring stopped as their bodies-everything, actually- was obliterated by the power. Vamor just closed his eyes, waiting to be sucked into the ether as well, to be destroyed by his foolish mistake. All the deaths, he could hear the souls calling out to him, since the god of death was already dead. Oh, where did it all go so wrong? Probably at the "Take him down with me" stage. He then heard a smaller "Boom", and all was quiet. All was tranquil. Strange.

He opened his eyes, only to be greeted by an empty void. Completely empty, no creatures, no planets, no gods. Huh. So this is where gods go when they die. But wait, there was two things here. First, at the center there was a large -huge- sun, glowing with the power of all the souls that had been sucked in, and second, there was faces in the sun. Upon closer inspection, he realized they were gods. But not the gods he knew, but new gods. Huh. So he wasn't dead. He realized that he was powerless though, having used his power to destroy the universe. He couldn't shape the universe to his will.. what was the point of being a god?! But a new idea struck him, which he smiled to. He would let these gods shape the universe, and maybe eventually he would be able to join them!

With a crash of his axe, he cut open the surface of the sun for a moment, giving the gods enough time to enter. He then floats off, thinking a nap would be a good idea to "Recharge the ole' batteries", as that annoying old trickster god used to say. But really, a nap would be good...

    Summary:
You are in a empty fiery red room, a waiting room of sorts. Suddenly a temporary rip opens in the wall. Outside, there is a completely empty void, with only a large sun which you are currently in. You remember nothing of anything (certain exceptions), roleplay your entrance, and...

    Now I beseech thee, Post!

    Azrathar
The small (compared to the other Deities) semi-ball of smoke and shadows disperses and collects itself a few times, before exiting the Sun. The head of Azrathar pokes out from the shadows and glances around.
"What a great deal of.. Potential." He says thoughtfully, before letting out a large cough. He then turns to the other entities within the sun. "I think introductions are in order. My taken name is Azrathar. Don't let the appearance fool you, I am a lovely thing. Azrathar smiles, showing off his blackened teeth.

The firey mage looks up from his tome, almost as if annoyed and looks around for a moment before stepping out into the void. The bottom of his robe flickered and wavered, alive with a swarm of small blazing arachnids, burning even in this empty void.

Oh my, how utterly... borring. No no this won't do at all. After all are we gods or meerly window dressing for a great ebon shroud? My name is Pyric, weaver of flame, and as I suppose it is up to us to decorate this empty existance I shall make the first move.

Pyric raises his right hand, a small swarm of spiders flying out from his sleeve to form into a small planet orbiting the sun, a planet of fire and flame, oceans of motlen stone and metal, great geysers of lava errupting from it's surface.

    Bertholeum
Suddenly a god manifested where the others thought they were none. Something bumped into Azrathar and Pyric, but when they looked, there was merely more void. Did their eyes deceive them? Whatever the case, they both sensed an odd presence nearby. And then they heard...hooves?

"Terribly sorry! I got so scared there for a minute! I couldn't control myself. Being shot out of a big, flaming ball of...fire, that's disturbing! Oh. You made some more...flamey stuff. That's...nice, I guess. All colorful and going BOOM! That's hot. Hehehe! Hmm...My stomach is growling. I would kill to have some eggs - isn't it the right temperature to boil eggs? But, what are eggs, exactly? How odd. I'm hungry for something that doesn't even exist yet!

But where are my manners? Probably where I last left them...but that's beside the point! My name is Bertholeum the Seeker, and I am the fastest thing in existence which, I guess, is not terribly useful when there's nowhere to go and no one to race with."

    Silunus
A beam of silver light flies out of the sun. It turns into a... well, a person. His face seems to be changing very quickly, and his clothes are also being protean. When he speaks, it is with ten thousand different voices:
Hello, all. I think my name is Silunus, but I'm feeling rather... empty. Let's change that.
Rolling his hands in front of him, a gray ball of light forms. He pushes it, and it expands, becoming Eselen. It slowly begins to orbit the star.
I think this is called Eselen. I'll watch after it.
Silunus' face seems to slow down until it is a single face, that of a young man with flowing silver hair, and gray knowing eyes.

The joyful god circled the new celestial body several times, which took about a mere second. The others saw only a dark, shapeless blur.

"Oh I like that! It's shiny, but cold to the touch. Is that an "egg"? Do you think I can have a bite?"

No, this is Eselen. I don't want you to bite what's mine. Would you like it if I ate your speed?

    Silunus laughs.
If you want eggs, I suggest you make them. We are gods.
I think I would like something else to watch over...

He places both hands on Eselen. His eyes display beams of silver light that go to infinity (and beyond!). From the surface of the moon rise small... things. Humans.
I like to get things done.

    Azrathar

"That is.. Impressive, Silunus." The gaseous face stares at the newly created moon. "It is a great fond of inspiration. I believe I will try the same."

Watching the moon closely, Azrathar creates a similar sphere of the same size, only dark and featureless. It begins to orbit the molten planet as well.
Azrathar orbits the newly creatures sphere a few times before returning to the others. He adresses Silunus. "See it as a tribute, of sorts, to your creation. Now, what should it be called? The Shado.. No.. The Shade.. No.. The Deat.. No.. I have it - Limbo."
Afterwards, Azrathar floats back to the newly created moon of Limbo, and starts expanding his energies over it again. As with Silunus' Humans, life spring forth from the planet's crust, only it is not Human but something.. Else. They look like humans, but corrupted and wrong, in a sense.

Pyric chuckles softly, standing back and watching the antics of the others.

Slowly he reaches out with his hand as if caressing the celestial body he'd created, and allows the surface to cool and harden into a rocky crust, though deep inside the molten core remains.

Ah! Life... yes quite impressive indeed.

    Moarzed
In the beggining, the gods roamed alone. And Moarzed roamed farthest from them all. Opposite from the fiery planet, and slightly farther from the star, Moarzed fashioned a world of many climates and distances. Where oceans and mountains ran together, overlooked by volcanos surrounded by dense forests and within sight of a harsh tundra. The land was where only the strongest would survive. The world that was so different from all others, and yet so similar. As he fashioned it, he decided on a name for this new world.

Thank you, Azrathar. It is good to see more people in this otherwise sparsely populated Universe. However, I'm feeling a little... tired. I think I'll stop with the big stuff for a while, and help my people.

A furrow of movement can be seen in the room. It is slight, and only visible to a god, but it is there. As it reached the rift, and left into the void, a midnight black panther formed and leaped into the void that was existence. He traversed a great distance, searching for a place of shadow and darkness.

    He sighed and breathed out.

Hodari detested being invisible to all, and so he fashioned a world far from the star from whence he came. Instead of relying on fresh heat, his world would trap the little it got from the sun and generate it's own. The volcanic center would boil the air, and the atmosphere was thick enough to keep it all contained. The planet was dark, but it was warm enough for life to be born on it's surface.

"I shall call it Hodra - the darkest light." Hodari said proudly as creatures sprang up on the planet's surface.

His loneliness continued to grow, however. In time it grew to such a level he could no longer bear just being able to see himself. He walked among the life of his world and found a small creature, a creature he had named 'raccoon'.

Into this creature he poured intelligence, will, and strength. Such will was much for the body, and it grew. It's eyes become glowing and amber, it's ears pointy and it's fur monochromatic. And so the first of our kind - The Hodran - was born.

Hodari placed his paw on the creature's head and said...

"Viva, viva, viagra!" He said, smiling as only a panther could at the creature. It's eyes glazed over and it ran off into the forest to seek mates.

    Yes, MATES.

... words in the old language that made the Hodran a very amorous, productive creature. The Hodran was as intelligent and sly as it's creator, and so found as many mates as it desired.

But as time passed, the wisdom and intelligence of the generations after fell and fell, so they were no longer as sly as a god, and instead were simply 'sentient'. Fortunately at that point the planet was covered with Hodrans.

Some are said to still posses the blessing of the panther god, but if this is true none have revealed themselves.

Torr examined his surroundings. It appeared as if there were none. He was alone in an empty void of space. He saw, far in the distance, the other gods. Torr looked to Pyric for answers. "Pyric, do you know exactly what is going on? Why is this little ball of fire still burning, and are we leaving home?" He asked.

    Hrothlar
Hrothlar looks like a gray, old wizard as he emerges from a state of flux. Scattered, for a moment, across the timeless infinity of space he becomes whole. Immidiately after his soft-sole cloth shoes brush against the floor of the red room, he realizes that he has always existed. That his longevity is infinite, and that his life runs eternally on both sides of the Universe born before him.
"So, this is what it's like being a God? Interesting. He approaches the moon and watches. Fantastic. Human life. Remarkable creation, remarkable. A shame they should be limited to this moon...

Hrothlar waves his hand across the moon, closing a fist as if grasping something within his withered old hand. Gently, he brings it to the planet and turns his fist into an open palm. A fine, silvery dust falls across the planet and sweeps across the continents. Pockets of humanity begin to emerge from the dust, in every corner of the globe.

"Tribes, they shall be. Many tribes and many peoples. Remarkable things, they will do on this planet. Some terrible, yes, but many remarkable. This new place should be wonderful, for them.

Waving his hands across the rough form of the planet, Hrothlar paints the oceans and sky blue, wonderful shades the same colors as his robe. The ground becomes green, like the moss on the knob of his gnarled staff. The Mountains gray, like his beard.

"And now, I think, I shall rest for a moment.

Hrothlar sites, cross legged in a meditative stance, and begins reading Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon.

Moarzed sat reflectively as he ran his fingers along the contours of Maxim. It was glorious and beautiful, but it was missing something. Life. He drew up the metals from the mountains and made bones. He drew out the bark from trees and made flesh. He drew out the water and made life giving blood. He drew up thick grasses and made hair. Then he bound them together in to beautiful creatures, bipedal but with fur covering much or their bodies. And Moarzed saw they were good, and called them catgirls and catboys.:
Now it was time for a long nap... relaxing, indeed...

    Bertholeum

Bertholeum gazed at the moon for a while, then headed towards the first planet.

He ran around it and caused it to spin rapidly. As he stepped on the cold ground of the planet for the first time, he observed the natural cycles and decided to add some variety by shaping the seasons himself. However, his actions had...unforeseen consequences, in that weather patterns became extremely chaotic, causing increased natural disasters in some regions: torrential rain in the tropics, landslides, thunderstorms, hail storms...

"Things are getting dangerous here... Oh well. What doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger, right? And storms are pretty...I'm sure someone will appreciate the beauty of my work someday!"

The joyful god wandered the surface of the planet until he found a suitable site for his next experiment. He planted some seeds into the earth, added water and waited a whole century or so. Finally, full-grown antelope-human hybrids emerged from the ground. He named these people Runners and sent them away to scavenge anything they deemed useful or interesting. Their destiny, he told them, was entirely their own to shape.

[[The second turn is up, ladies and gents!]]

Pyric forms a small planet orbiting the sun, a planet of fire and flame, oceans of motlen stone and metal, great geysers of lava errupting from it's surface.
Pyric cools the outer magma of his planet, creating a livable surface.

Silunus creates Eselen, and set it to orbit the molten planet.
Silunus creates humans from the surface of Eselen, who begin making tribes.

Azrathar creates a darker version of Eselen, also orbiting the molten planet, calling it Limbo.
Azrathar creates a sort of twisted human race there.

Moarzed creates Maxim, which is opposite from the fiery planet, and slightly farther from the star, a world of many climates and distances.
Moarzed creates a race of cat people on Maxim.

Hodari created a planet far from the sun, calling it Hodra.
Hodari creates plant and small animal life on the planet, making for a good ecosystem.
Hodari creates a sentient race to live there, The Hodran.

Hrothlar spreads the humans to the molten planet.
Hrothlar creates plant life on the molten planet, and pours water into valleys and makes oceans.

Bertholeum creates all sorts of natural desasters on Eselen.
Bertholeum grows a race of antelope-human hybrids, and calls them runners. He sends them to salvage and multiply.

    Torr waits.

    Lohkir waits

Vamor opened his eyes, to realize he was sleeping inside a planet! He shot out of it, looking around. This specific one had strange furry people with whiskers walking around. Huh. He floated around to the other side of the sun, and saw five or six gods talking and creating over a large crust-y planet. Hrm. He saw some other gods flying around, and was happy. With another crash of his axe, the waiting room of the gods was opened again for a time, allowing the newer gods enterance. He then proceded to wait above the firey planet, observing the gods.

    <>-<> <>-<> <>-<> <>-<> <>-<> <>-<> <>-<> <>-<> <>-<>

He flies down to Eselen, and circles a human incampment. He sees a human wander aimlessly for an hour, looking for food probably. As he's walking, his foot hits a stone, and he falls into a two-hundred foot crater, snapping his neck. The first death... He floats down to inspect it, and realizes that the soul of the human has not left his body. Upon further thought, he realizes the death gods have not done anything with the souls! Woe to them! He gathered his wrath for torturing these poor mortals, and threw it at the gods, causing them to be stunned and writhed in pain. He floats away, content that atleast the god(s) of death got the message of ; "Where do souls go? Nowhere. FIX IT!"

    <>-<> <>-<> <>-<> <>-<> <>-<> <>-<> <>-<> <>-<> <>-<>

Nothing else I can think of for now...

    Number of acts everyone has:

    Code:
    Azrathar: 2
    Lohkir: 4
    Moarzed: 2
    Torr: 4
    Bertholeum: 2
    Hrothlar: 2
    Pyric: 2
    Silunus: 2
Hodari: 1 (You used three acts, explaining in the OOC thread)
    Elegant Nova: 2
    Seln: 2
    Ringen: 2
If I forgot something or made a mistake, just throw it up in the OOC thread or pop me a PM.

    Birth of a Goddess

    I. In the beginning, there was a consciousness. And the consciousness dreamed of steam, and brass, and lightning, and gears turning. This consciousness knew that it could not make its dreams a reality unless it had a physical form, like every other divine consciousness.
II. So the consciousness willed into being a body perfect in every way, of brass and crystal and steam and steel, just as it had dreamed. And the consciousness entered the body, and fused with the body's own spirit, and the consciousness became The Elegant Nova Of Innovation In Steam Enshrouded And In Brass Enthroned.
III. Now The Elegant Nova Of Innovation stretched out wings of golden fire, and laughed in excited apprehension, and flew out of the sun. She saw the gods crafting as they would, and decided in her infinite mercy to allow them their petty games.
IV. But now she saw a planet with her golden eyes, one made by a god of felinic chaos. And when she focused her sight upon the planet, she saw creatures like unto cats but in a perfected form like unto her own. Spoke she: "If only they were vulpine in form, for then they would be as perfect as it is possible for an organic lifeform to be."
    V. Straightaway, a thought struck The Elegant Nova Of Innovation, and she smiled to herself, saying - "I shall make them into the perfect form then, for within me is the knowledge to do so."
VI. The Elegant Nova Of Innovation flew through the endless void, descending upon the hostile world, and she was pleased to see that it was so fierce, for any worthwhile invention must be tested to its limits. Like an angel she fell, down into a region heavily mountained and thick with snow.
VII. "Here," she said to herself, "I shall make an empire of steam and brass that will reach to the stars themselves!" Then forged she a laboratory there, that she might be able to craft the genesis of life itself.

    Birth of a Race

A Maximite catgirl woke up, and then wished she hadn't. After all, sleep hadn't involved needles, and galvanic rods, and being trapped in vats of glowing liquid.

"Oh, you are awake. That will make this rather interesting." There was a strange woman standing in front of the vat, adjusting valves and checking gages, with a voice that was simultaneously artificial, youthful, innocent, and scary beyond all reason. "I am certain that you must be very curious on several matters, including your abduction for science and my own purposes in conducting this abduction. Since you are incapable of talking at the moment-" she smiled at the catgirl with far too many perfect teeth- "I shall have to perform the talking for both of us. Now, what to cover first?"

    "Mmmph!"

"You are correct! I should start by giving you an overview on the marvelous experiment I am about to perform. You see, every creature in existence has a genetic-morphic field. Yours is a combination of the genetic-morphic code for feline and primate. It is my intention to adjust your genetic-morphic code to include vulpine traits instead of feline traits, and thereby transform you into one of the mothers of my new perfect organic race! Lucky you! Of course, I will be converting the males of your species as well, but simple biology requires much more females be initially converted if the initial population boom is to be sustained, which is where you come in. You are, in essentia, a factory for the production of my new race - at least, once I run my experiments upon you.

Now, kindly desist in your struggling. Your restraints are divinely-empowered, not simple leather and steel. Besides, struggling throws off the instruments - see what you just did there? For shame. I will have to introduce more aqueous morphine into your bloodstream to prevent this from happening further.

Where was I? Ah, yes, my new race. As is obvious, you were chosen for your high level of physical excellence, for your mind will be overwritten by my adjustments. Do not worry, you will be content for the rest of your life, but your children will have the cunning and intelligence that I require from them, as well as your own physical traits. Rejoice, for in your own shaping is the birth of a generation's exaltation!

Please, tell me how this feels once I am done. I am certain that there will be some level of physical uncomfort, but seeing as I lack your organic level of pain receptors, I can only wonder at the level of suffering that you will endure through the adjustment of your genetic-morphic field. Still, it will be for a good cause, you must understand!"

The goddess, finally content that everything was ready, looked up into the drugged eyes of the catgirl as she reached out and took hold of the lever built into the vat's side. "For Science!" The lever was pulled, and the galvanics began to glow ever brighter as the catgirl thrashed and screamed. And as Science was undergone, The Elegant Nova Of Innovation looked skywards and laughed triumphantly.

Finally, the galvanics died down, and The Elegant Nova Of Innovation looked at what she had crafted. The feline features of the former catgirl were gone, replaced by vulpine fur and muzzle, a fine and luxurious tail replacing the rather common one she had before. While her eyes were dull and unintelligent, the eyes of her children would be bright with clarity and understanding of what could be. They would be the Raposa, and they would be her chosen people!

Death of some of my people... and their souls are restless? I must amend this!
1 Act to create the Soulstones, indestructible diamonds in the center of every village or city. When a moonperson dies, their soul goes into their home's Soulstone. The (living) moonpeople can tap into it and access the collective knowledge of Eselen, as well as divine magic. With each Eselenian's death, the magic of the whole increases.Think Avatar.

Torr uses 56 Major acts to create a world, and create magic in one world usable by mortals*going into 12 negative Acts*

Torr saw that the Void was filled with strange, thinking creatures, and decided he would make his own world with his energy. The sun went into eclipse for an hour, and suddenly a transparent energy fills the Void for a few minutes, causing little chaos. Eventually a world sprang into being (two major acts) and was steeped in heavy magic, which was everywhere.

As hodari looked on his world, he saw that Hodrans were limited in their ability to expand. Certainly, there were enough of them, but the problem was the land in which they lived. Hodran lifestyles required jungles - and the world he created had very little jungle.

He also noticed that the souls of those who died would wander the planet, and that those souls had minor divine power, in the same domains as he, albeit to a lesser extent.

So he decided to visit his budding race. They had formed villages in the trees, and when Hodari came, Hodrans believed him a predator, and they were afraid.

He said, "Those who are not afraid, step forward."

Only six Hodrans dared step towards their god, and they were trembling in awe at his presence. Hodari was pleased by them, and breathed on each of their faces. When he was done, he calmly turned around and said, "You shall be the shepards of this world. Now, go, and teach others the power i have bestowed upon you. But i warn you: your power must never be used to bring back the dead. That is your only warning."

The Hodrans gasped as they opened their eyes and saw the spirits of their ancestors around them. They found they could communicate with these spirits, and in so doing, shape the land. Thus did Hodari create the Shaman of the Jungle.

These six spread their teachings, and in time, they caused the jungle in which most Hodra life dwelled to slowly grow beneath the black sky.

    - From the book of the Panther, Passage 2

Hodari sighed as he let his head fall limp. His shamans would spread the jungle for now, and he could rest for a time. Hodari's eyes looked back at the sun from whence he came and he smiled. Perhaps one day he would see what else had occured in this cold, dark universe...

He turned his gaze back to Hodra. But he would not be returning any time soon.

1 Act: Create Shamans on the world of Hodra. Hodrans begin to expand their jungles (very slowly) and their spirits wander the land

((Note: i didn't spend an act to give the spirits their power because of Hodari's method of creating the species))

Pyric nods slowly as he watches the changes made to the planet he created, approving of them.

Ahh good people to inhabit the land and flourish. Yes, yes quite good indeed. We should name this planet so as not to confuse it with the other. I'll call it... Gade, and I think I'll add creatures of my own to it.

With that he made a grand rising motion with his hand and deep inside Gade's molten core arose a beasts of fire, great glistening scaled bodies and massive wings, their heads crowned with horns and fire from their breath.

I give the creatures dragons to watch over them... and to aid these dragons... MAGIC!

He clenches his fist in an eruption of flame, imbuing the dragons with magic at their core.

Wise and knowledgeable these dragons will use their might and magic to protect the good people you have placed on my world.

The God-Wizard closes his book and shoves it inside his robes. He takes calculated steps around the planet he has given water and grass. He mutters to himself.

"A fine planet. And a fine name, Gade, it shall be! And these dragons...magnificent creatures, and wise. But still, Gade is ever so incomplete." He ponders the situation of the planet for a moment. ""It lacks something."

Discovering what he had missed, The wizard draws his silver sword and cuts locks of hair from his beard. Holding them between his fingers, he scatters them across the planet, creating trees, plants, and fruits and vegetables so that the humans may have air to breathe, food to eat, and wood to build with. He pauses. From the planet, he takes the grasses and bushes and molds them into shapes, and breathes life into them, thus creating herbivores that will forever roam the lands and multiply.

Pyric smiles and nods to Hrothlar as he completes his work. He flips the page in his book, the works of the other gods filling the pages with each act they take.

Excelent work my brother... certainly this shall be a fiine and balanced world.

He smirks and gives the other mage a sly look.

The two of us do fine work, I propose we continue to co-operate.

Moarzed awoke and looked down upon Maxim and smiled as he saw the progress of his people. They had divided into three groups, the Calico cat people had claimed the plains, the ginger catfolk inhabited the mountains, and the black catfolk in the forests and jungles. They had constructed an amazonian society, with the catgirls gathering food and fighting the other tribes with crude wooden tools in a mockery of sentience, while the males took care of the kittens and built up settlements. But they lived by a frugal diet of plant matter. So Moarzed was struck with a grand idea.
He took some water and rock, crushed them together, and put the resulting creature back into water. These creatures he decided to call fish, and the catfolk found that they were a good source of food.

    War on Maxim!

    I. In time, the Raposa were fruitful and multiplied, in thanks to the social engineering of their goddess. And they praised her, naming her Our Lady Of Science.
II. Seeing this, Our Lady Of Science was pleased, and taught them how to make spears from stones and staves, and how to make wooden breastplates and shields. Oft she would sigh, speaking of galvanic cannons and steam-guns and plasma swords, but the Raposa were not yet wise enough to understand the technology involved in their creation, and she would not make them for her people.
III. For she spoke to them, saying that their artifice must build a society, even though she taught them their artifice. Cunning was a virtue, and that they must grow on their own.
IV. So the Raposa, seeing that their labor was difficult when they built shelters to protect them from the bitter cold, looked to the ginger catfolk of the mountains, and cunning bloomed within their hearts.
    V. Now, the Raposa went to war, in small bands of five or seven, kidnapping catfolk from the ginger tribes and making them into slaves. Some they took for the pleasures of the flesh, but most were beaten and bound and forced to labor in the bitter cold instead of the Raposa.
VI. And The Elegant Nova Of Innovation was well-pleased with her people, for they had already learned that the strong and the cunning are destined to rule.

    He Is Your Master!

The Raposa were beginning to spread across the mountains they called home, but the mightiest and the most cunning were called back to Cold House, the fortress of their creator.

So they came, and some brought their slaves, and some brought their weapons, wondering if they were to make some great war against the catfolk. But now they stood in front of Cold House, and waited.

Suddenly, the doors swung open, and out strode The Elegant Nova Of Innovation, dressed in her finest. Down the steps of Cold House she came, looking around, muttering to herself. "No. You will not do. Not him. Next. Where is he?"

The Raposa were nervous, and every chosen looked downcast and shook their heads as their goddess passed them. Woe to them, for they were found wanting. But now, finally, Our Lady Of Science gave a squeal of joy, as she looked upon Eijas of Hawks, greatest of the Raposa gathered there, and the most cunning. At his side was a length of metal, honed into a long sharp sword, and in his gaze was power.

"Raposa of the Twelve Tribes, look upon your new king! I have seen into his soul, and it is as cunning and genius as I could wish. How spectacular! How mighty!" And Eijas of Hawks bowed before her, and she removed a small circlet of brass from her coat, placing it upon his head. "Now, come with me, and I will explain your new duties, king of the Raposa. And perhaps we shall do more, handsome one." Her eyes alight, The Elegant Nova Of Innovation led Eijas into Cold House, and the doors swung shut once again.
