If we're going off on a slight tangent about the medicinal properties of cocktails, I often enjoy a mojitio if I have to ponder something at great length. The crisp taste of it, together with the time taken to make one properly gives you an opportunity to sit, think and gather your thoughts. Don't make it with cocoa-cola like some sort of savage though - use soda water and proper havana club rum.

...dark mojito's (as I call those abominations) are foul. True mojitos are the only way to fly. Also, they are the only mixed drink I really imbibe anymore, and that rarely.

Because I'm way to shy and awkward to ask my friends to hang out randomly, in the middle of the night. Especially since the only one online is at home, watching a movie. And probably drinks too much already.

Same. Infact, for a long time, I myself couldn't differentiate, though I think this is a normal and typical thing for teenagers to go through at one time or another.
But, as wonderful as friends may be (and I love some of my friends HARD), its just not the same without that spark of attraction.

I can honestly say that I love a few of my friends, and I find a few of them attractive. However, there's no real spark. Don't know why, but there's a difference between finding someone attractive, and being attracted to someone.

For me, I have a few friends that are close enough to me that I love them dearly (two to the extent that they are like brothers to me), and then I have a whole-a buncha lady friends whom I find rather attractive, but to whom I am not terribly close these days.

Oh, don't get me wrong, the Black Samurai is pretty much the worst thing you can drink that still counts as a drink (no mixing salsa and Keystone Light and calling it a drink or something... unlike the guy I know who does that). But, if you're depressed, and want a drink that fits a black mood, you can't do better than a black samurai.

I like sake though, always have. Dad always has it with sushi, not that I'll be having it with him any longer.

As for the nature of attraction/friends/love, eh. I wouldn't say I love my friends. I'd say I would defend them against their foes, and that I would fight and bleed for them. Love to me has always had a different connotation though. Friendship is me defending and fighting for them, and they for I. Love is... something both more and less, I guess. It's stupid and hard to explain, but there it is.

I wouldn't worry too much about that, mate. That's love for ya. Sure, it's different for everybody, but I know I at least have done some stupid things while in love or for love, and love is definitely (for me, at least) hard to truly explain.

I think, the only thing I truly hate about love and relationships, is that for the longest time, I was given the "You'll understand when you're older" speech... and then one day a couple years ago, during a conversation with somebody younger than I whilst at work, I said the exact same thing, because I was truly unable to really and truly define love and relationships.

...Then, later on that day, I realized what I'd done, and had one of those moments where I felt really old, and realized that I sounded like my father... and while it wasn't really a negative thing, it was in fact kind of unsettling.
