Okay, something I noticed in the Mortal World thread, and sadly, I just have to correct it. Please, don't take it as a shot at anybody or anything. It's just, since it relates to my work, I have to correct it.

There are no U-Hauls in Japan. U-Haul does not exist outside of the US and Canada.

I'm honest here. Why is Rose focusing on Val? And is she intentionally ignoring Kaito? And you do realize this is really kind of a creepy way for someone to "introduce" themselves?

She's a 97 year old high school student that sucks peoples souls out through their necks. she's entitled to being creepy. She is unconventional in every way, and yes she is ignoring kaito. She is concentrating on Val because she's new, and has spiritual potential and/or powers.

How does she know that? Also, berry can answer this for sure, but...do we know if Val has even manifested any sort of power? Any more so than Kaito?

She's a spiritual entity, so she should be able to sense reiatsu right? Also, in canon Ichigo had reiatsu even before he got his shinigami powers.

C.)But Val's "signature" is likely a lot lower than Ichigo's.
D.)Which means that Kaito (who is at least spiritually aware, and will be developing powers once plot starts) should be at least as noticeable.
E.)Even taking all that into account, this whole thing feels incredibly meta-gamey. Your character is focusing on Val because you, the player, know Val has powers. Val's signature is likely barely more than a blip on a "radar".

Not sure what's intended there.

Just curious, why then isn't she reacting to Rosa? Because at this point, she already has discovered her powers. Or is it because she a) already discovered her powers and b) is a local that Yoko isn't reacting?

Nao, Unit four commander of the Omnitsukido.

Reiatsu: Slightly dark green, smells of moss

Appearance: Nao is shrouded in mystery, his uniform showing this. His chosen attire is a loose gray cloak with a very deep hood which he wears up at all times, completely hiding his face from all. under this he wears the standard omnitsukido uniform. The sleeves come down over his hands, and he has varios blades and throwing needles hidden inside the cloak.

Personality: Nao very seldom talks about himself, instead diverting the conversation to things he may have noticed. he is extremely formal in his speech, calling every superior by their rank and family name. Nao has no family name, as he wishes to stay nearly anonymous, and Nao is not even truly his name. He himself has forgotten his former name.

Zanpakuto: Silent Forest (translation would be greatly appreciated)
Nao's unreleased Zanpakuto looks much like a standard weapon, though with a straight edge. In truth he wields a ninjato, having a standard sized sheathe in order to have a location to hide various objects. The weapon is very ordinary.

Shikai Release: Surround and destroy, Silent Forest.

When his Zanpakuto is released, Nao throws his sword in the air, which then transforms into dozens of leaf shaped blades. Nao can control these blades with his hands or eyes, though he must have his face unhidden to do so with his vision. These blades are quite sturdy, able to block as a normal sword would.

Bankai: Not yet achieved.

Inner world: Nao's inner world is a lush rain forest, a gray fog covering all but within a few feet of himself.

Zanpakuto spirit: Silent Forest takes the shape of an innocuous sloth. His spirit is very calm and collected.

Abilities:

Hakudo: Nao rarely if ever uses Hakudo, instead allowing subordinates to perform non lethal take downs.

Zanjutsu: Also rarely used, when Nao does fight however he uses a quick style, trying to end a fight quickly.

Kido: As a specialist in his own type of kido attacks, Nao is very knowledgeable. Nao has developed a form of Shunko, instead pushing his own spiritual energy into thrown weapons, allowing them to move very rapidly, to the speed of a mid level captain shunpo. These blades fly straight through the air. Nao is a bakudo specialist, able to use up to level 73 with incantation and 41 without. Hado is his weak point, only able to use level 37, though all without incantation.

Shunpo: Mid-level. Nao only uses hoho if he is in a hurry, though he is fond of the air stepping technique.

(I'm not sure if someone else has a zanpakuto like this. If there is a problem please inform me.)

Please be concise with your criticism, I'd like to get this character off the ground sooner rather than later.

Kaito is mostly latent as well; he can only view spirits, at least somewhat. So they're about equally noticeable.

She's been going to the high school as a student. So if he's in the school, she'd know him from there.

I see. I'm having trouble keeping track of what non-mortal characters supposedly go to the school. He might know her vaguely, though I'm not sure how much.

The point being, at first glance, the whole situation seemed very metagame. If it's not, that's fine. But it's something you should keep in mind for the future.

I'm moderately concerned by the potential of the leaf release: specifically, having multiple telekinetic blades that are each strong enough to block a zanpaktou seems like it could hose meleeists pretty badly. That said, if you're willing to allow for said specialists being faster with their blades than he is with his telekinetic ones, I suppose that might work. Just bear it in mind, and try to avoid letting it get absurd.

Also, shunko is a captain-level technique, given that it's only been shown being used by shinigami of that caliber. I would be more comfortable if you just referred to Nao's unique technique as imbuing the kunai with kido, since (a) shunko is a combination of the demon arts and hakuda, so it doesn't make much sense for thrown weapons to be the beneficiaries of it anyway, since using thrown weapons has nothing to do with hakuda, and (b) it avoids namedropping a captain-level tech.

Alright, I've diverted to someone else, so it shouldn't be a problem right now. I'll probably start making it less obvious until they develop powers. I'm safe in assuming she could sense another bount right? Also, @ Kerfuffle, not many characters can actually sense a bount. Only bounts and specialized modsouls can immediately sense them. In canon, Mayuri made a device to find them, but the mortal characters won't be sensing you.

Both excellent points. The concern with the shikai, in my mind, is that it's very reminiscent of Senbonsakura. That's not totally a bad thing, but it needs to be remembered that that was a very powerful and versatile release.
Having this one be at least someone defeatable and avoidable is a good step to make sure it works better.
