Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
These are the God-puppies of Yu-Shan. They oversee the distribution of joy and d'aww as relates to small animals throughout civilized lands. Without their carefully weighted distribution, joy will now become backed up, resulting in misery and unhappiness for millions, as thousands of others keel over dead due to joy-induced aneurysms because 30 miles away, a kitten is playing with a ball of yarn.

Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
I imagine it would be nuisance for abyssals too. I mean the terrified mortal/ghost/undead he has carrying his stuff keeps having aneurysms or killing himself out of misery. The Abyssal can't carry his own stuff, he's far too
emodark and brooding.
As more god-puppies are killed the problem gets worse and worse and before he knows it the Abyssal is the vanguard of his own army/manservant killing every puppy, kitten, and adorable woodland creature he can find in an effort to stop his army from dieing of joy. Eventually he realizes he hasn't actually killed a real person in years, and his army has been abducted by mortal farmers, and is now serving as over 2,000 scarecrows scattered across a several thousand mile area.

Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
Ok, I tried to enhance the pic of the yellow text, and I have no idea what is the word Misho said. It looks like "Corn-IT", which doesn't make much sense...
Edit : corrected "tried"Last edited by Xelloss; 2010-07-19 at 05:13 AM.

I'm sure it will be relevant later. For now, Father opening his eye seems significant, as though it was an, ahem, eye-opening answer.

I'll confess, squinting at the screen led me to read it as "Goatse".

That would give an alternate explanation for why Misho gets sadder the louder Rouen laughs.

Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
Is this Misho using that spell that tells a ghost a secret info that makes the ghost happy or something... I'll have to go and check my Black Treatise, Necromancy is not my forte, but I'm pretty sure there was one Necro spell that had you tell some "world secret" to a ghost, which made it happier and nearer to life (and also more easily to influence for you, which is the actual mechanical application of the thing, since he now feels that he owes you and wants more, but Misho doesn't seem the type to do it for that)...
Or at least I think I remember something like that in the manual. Perhaps Misho is doing the same thing without the spell backing, though.
Also, the Sun's name is clearly Richard, anyway .Last edited by Drascin; 2010-07-19 at 10:15 AM.

Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
Or it's just plain funny.
It's like someone who took the name: "The Forlorn and Mournful Lover who cried a Thousand Ivory Tears in a Night Driven by Passionate Sorrow under a Sky of Moonless Ebony in Lamentation of the Untimely Passing of their Love and Desire to the Shroud of Death and Eternity" having the True Name of ... Herbert.May you get EXACTLY what you wish for.

Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
The Sun's true name is obviously "I've invested a lot of time and effort into your pathetic daughter, so if you don't laugh with all your might and let her watch dear daddy die happy, I swear to Oblivion I will use my powers as the secret fourteenth Deathlord to bind your soul into a prison of a thousand years of unbearable torment, one minute of which would make the Unconquered Sun himself beg for the peace of Oblivion!"
Just speculating.

To me, it looks like "Chukar"...
I'm leaning torwards the "it's supposed to be a scribble that looks like letters so that everybody sees it differently" interpretation.Last edited by The Bushranger; 2010-07-19 at 11:55 AM.

I remember Jukashi posting stats for the Keys of Creation a while ago, but I can't seem to find them. Anyone know where they are?

At first, I thought, 'eh, he'll be going back to the underworld.'
Then I remembered what Misho said.
The last thing he's told, huh?

Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
I don't have the link, but from what I remember weapon-wise they're artifact hooked swords(I think). The special quality is that naturally the person can open any lock/door with one that's attuned to someone. The more attuned keys that are used together, and the more powerful it is. With all 5 you could supposedly do anything that could use the words open, close, lock, and so on. For instance, Open someone's mind.
And it doesn't have to be the same person attuned to all of them.He fears his fate too much, and his reward is small, who will not put it to the touch, to win or lose it all.

Thank you! All I could remember was that they were individually Artifact 4 and worked like a daiklaive in combat.

Secret get Trial of Fear!
Trial of Fear is placed in Inventory!
So, I seem to have forgotten what spell or Charm or whatever Solars can use to ensure a desirable fate for spirits after they enter Lethe. Sidereals have a resplendent destiny that can do it, but only during the funeral.
Any ideas?I use black for sarcasm.

Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
According to TV Tropes, that was part of a treaty the Solars of the First Age had with Heaven. Any mortal that perished as a direct result of a Solar's actions was guaranteed to reincarnate into a peaceful life with a pleasant destiny. No clue what book it's in.

Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
I hadn't noticed this before, but rereading the Archives Ten's Sidereal student was hanging out at the applications with him as well. Maybe he tweaked things so Misho and Marena would want him along (or not want others)?
I guess I might have noticed but just forgotten. Dang Arcane Fate!!!
