You seem to forget that even without the Abyssals and Infernals, the Dragon-Blooded never really managed to retain the control over Creation that they wrested from the Solars and with time, they grew corrupt and decadent. After all, they have the Curse just like any other Exalted even if it's weaker. Essentially, the Sidereals doomed Creation to a slow and lingering decay that had nothing to do with the influence of either the Neverborn or the Yozi instead of more immediate destruction.

Well, honestly, when the choice is either "doom Creation to have a slow decay, hope we can find a way to reverse it in time" or "let insane near-unstoppable god-kings blow it up to see what sound it does when breaking"... I mean, there's actually a canon tibdit about how when the Sidereals went and said to a few Twilights that what they were doing was starting to cause massive spacetime errors, the Twilights' response was something in the vein of "Seriously? Awesome! Guys, quadruple the power!". I honestly can understand why they preferred a slow decay (that their curse's hubris told them they'd be certainly capable of reversing) to people exploding everything out of curiosity.

And let's not forget that the Shogunate came pretty close before the Deathlords went "LOL no" and Contagion'd everyone

Indeed. The one Abyssal I tried (game lasted three pages, though) was the very picture of friendliness. After all, he wanted to destroy the world precisely because it sucked for everyone - it wouldn't do to increase other people's miseries, now would it?

So he was the very picture of friendliness, having a kind word and a smile for you even as he ran you through the brain to give you a quick, painless death. Psychotic mood dissonance can make for pretty fun villains.

Pretty standard like. My character's motivation involves the Realm, so standard time frame and stuff. Probably normal starting level... maybe a little bonus, I have a fondness for slight power boosts.

I'm a Dawn caste, one friend is Sidereal, one is teetering between Lunar, Alchemical and Terrestrial, and one person who may or may not join is probably a Twilight caste.

Yes, it is, but no, they can't. It's a Lunar Charm.

So, an Eclipse Caste could get it.

To be fair, you've got all the non-Yozi or Neverborn aligned Celestial-level Exalted already. So, you're going to have people starting to want to go for overlaps.

This discussion sounds interesting. May I join this proposed forum game? I'm a complete newbie to Exalted and only have the 2e core rulebook (and I most definitely don't have PDF copies of every 2e rulebook up to the beginning of 2010 until such time as I can buy them all in book format) and I've only read that one so far, so I don't know anything about anything but Solars. I had an idea for a Dawn Caste, but if you have one already and don't want another, I could reconsider.
