Rana's eyes flick to the fellow who just spoke, and then back to Audric. ((I don't think I know Antal's name yet.))

Frankly, I don't see how it's any of your business. 'Man Paladins are fun to mess with,' Antal thinks to himself.

"You guys are freaks." He starts to walk away, mumbling to himself. "Who the hell goes to the sewers to argue?"

"Unfortunately it is my business." Audric replies "And I was asking him" Her? Audric isn't sure of the elf's sex yet, but he'll be caught dead before referring to another sentient creature as "it" to his face.

Hey, now that you're here, did my spot check (ages ago) tell me anything about the elf?

Edit: Strawberries - whoops, could have sworn that was directed at both of us. Anyway, you have the feeling that Rana's statement is mostly true, but she's leaving something out.

How is it your business? Have you any evidence he's committed an actual crime? Antal stresses the word actual as if crimes are often made up.

[Ajadea]

The elf's small green scales and clawed fingers might tell you something about him...all you guys know is that the elf is blond, male (or a rather masculine female), scaly, and frankly, rather malnourished-looking. Oh yeah, and there's a big bloody slash in his shoulder, but Rana dealt with that.

"You...live here" Audric shuts his eyes for a moment. "Are there more of you?"

To Antal "I don't need evidence, and you should know it" he says, tiredly "And frankly, I'm going out of my way to be nice, here. I was sent down here to investigate rumors of magical activity. I'm just doing my duty."

Seeing that this new mysterious group was only interested in arguing with one another, Llaars takes off after the guards. He hoped to catch up before they left the sewers because he did plan on coming back in here.

[Ajadea]

The elf instantly answers. "And why should I tell you, paladin? Your kind has brought me and my friends nothing but suffering."

[Jallorn]

Antal rolls his eyes. This paladin is no fun. Instead of ranting like they usually do, he's just... mopey. Instead, he switches his attention to the elf. You're looking mighty thin there, would you like to join me for a drink and some food? I know a few places where people wouldn't look at you twice.

[Ajadea]

The elf nods slowly at Antal. "That would be nice. I don't have any money, though. I dropped what little I did have some time ago. When I was running from the guards."

[Jallorn]

I can afford to pay for one other person's meal. Come on, Antal heads for the nearest manhole (assuming they have those) so he can see what street they are near.

"You aren't going to bring him out on the streets, are you?"Audric glares at Antal "That is the surest way to get him killed" Audric rummaes in his pack, finding a couple of rations and offering them to the elf "Here."

Please, I know what I'm doing. Like I said, I know a place. Just gotta get my bearings. Much better food than that there too.

She turns to Audric, "So what are you going to do with him. [With us.]" Sense motive on his answer: (1d20+3)[14]

The elf stops, apparently thinking. "I do hope you have a way to let me walk among the humans without being turned into mincemeat?"

[Jallorn]

Humans in that neighborhood don't care. Like I said, they won't look twice. Well, as long as you don't look like you've got anything worth anything, and you don't.

The elf grins, showing slightly pointed teeth. "If I had anything worth stealing, it's been stolen long before, I assure you."

[Jallorn]

My point exactly, now come on, lets see where we are.

[Strawberries]

"Honestly? I don't know. But I'll figure something out." the entire situation is so absurd that Audric is compelled to smile. "[And, you know, you do have a wolf. And it's three against one. Not to give you ideas]" Audric shakes his head, getting up from his crouch. You can tell he is not trying to deceive anybody.

[Savannah]

Rana smiles slightly at Audric's response, and jerks her head towards Antal, as if to ask whether Audric was going to allow the elf to leave.

Edit: Dangit, we keep posting in strange orders. Have changed my post to make more sense.

The elf begins to follow Antal away, then whips around, almost doing a double-take, as if his brain has just caught up with his eyes. His eyes flick over Rána. "Where do you come from, half-elf?" he says. His voice holds no mockery, no scorn, only honest curiousity.

[Jallorn]

Antal turns and points at Rana, So I take it from the secret conversation that you two have been having that you're either a spellcaster or an elf yourself or something?

After the elf speaks he says, Ah, half-elf then. And I just revealed that I speak elvish, darn. Oh well, come along, you're invited too. Not the paladin though, they'd probably kill him.

[Savannah]

"[Why do you care?]"
