The "hoping the company he keeps wouldn't be upset to see a paladin" was just a tought - I have the habit to write both what the character is saying and his internal commentary (usually I use italics for thoughts and don't put quote marks). It doesn't really matter, it was just to let you know .

Upon entering, the paladin looks curiously around, then smiles amicably to the blonde lady Ale is fine for me, too. That is a really friendly place you have" he says, while being guided to the back.

So paladin, you do this often? Hooking up with random, potentially illicit people you meet in the sewers?

Audric snorts. It was a fair question "Actually, that's my first time" he replies "But the whole situation down there has been...unusual." He sits at the table with some difficulty Damn armor..., and laces his fingers, looking at the other four people "And, as I said, I find myself in need of a little help. If you're willing" he adds, smiling.

Llaars pulls a chair up to the end of the table and sits down. "Raging Roc tavern at your service!"

Gods damn it! Antal exclaims, not caring about the paladin's presence, Normally I'd run you through the hoops a bit, try and bleed your coin purse a little, but I'm just too curious to play the game right now. I'm in, but you can be sure I'll come for some sort of payment later. To himself, he grumbles, Probably get less than I deserve after that outburst.

Rana bites her lip and seems to think for a few minutes before answering, "I'll help, at least for a little while."

"I'll…help. If you need me. And if, later, you help me. Um. Sir." She swallows, and looks away quickly, calling over to Elliot. "Um, ma'am. I don't, don't suppose you've heard of tea?"

"Thank you. I'll do what's in my power to repay you." Audric dismisses Antal's cursing with a shrug. If he had to be upset every time people use foul language, he'd never see the end of it. Not to mention he himself curses, too - actually, let's really not mention it - he has had his shares of reprimands for it.

"Please, now, no "sir" around me." he looks at the young lady with an encouraging expression: it will not do for her to be intimidated to the point of stuttering in his presence "And what will you need help with, if I may ask?"

"…That man I was asking Llaars about? My d - father. He didn't come back from his last journey to the city - he escorts travelers here. I've been looking for him."

Audric seems relieved by her answer. “I’ll help you find him, if I can ” he answers. Well, at least it’s something he can do without getting in any more troubles with the order than he already is. He isn’t looking forward to the conversation with his superiors…and he all of a sudden realizes that he still has to make sure the two guards get their payment. The temptation to bang his head against the table is strong.

The paladin shifts a bit in his seat, trying to gain a more comfortable position regardless of his armor, and starts speaking. His tone is calm, and he seems to be putting in words his thoughts so as to make some order in his mind.

“For how I see it now, we have a few options” he summarizes “I could try and find out what the order knows about dragon descendants” he raises a hand to forestall possible objections “I’ll make it look like a personal curiosity, for now. Or, we could go gather information from those two guards that were down there, see if they have noticed anything else unusual. Or we could simply head back there, being more aware of what’s waiting for us this time” He assesses the faces of the other people at the table, to see how they are taking his suggestions “Did I miss something?”

Well, I know someone who could... ah... provide us with myriad information, but I don't think you want to know any more than that paladin.

Can you guys tell me where you're planning on going? I've got plot points to drop around here, and kinda need to know who I need to PM. Yeah, there's quite a lot going on backstage, and PM seems to be the best way to communicate that sort of thing. Feel free to send me character details too.

At the moment, Rana's not sure what she's going to do. She'll help out Audric because she's extremely curious about the elf we discovered, which probably means heading back into the sewers.

Short-term plans involve a bath for her and Shadow. (Considering that she came to this city for a bath before she got forced down into the rather smelly sewers...)

I apologize if you guys were waiting for my post. Audric wanted to go make some discrete inquiries with the order before going back to the sewers. And if there are other way to gather informations, such as the one Antal mentioned...he is open to suggestions. Even if he has to make a bit of fuss about the halfling's source

Audric gives the halfling a piercing stare “I probably don’t. But I still have to ask if this source of yours poses a danger to the city or its people. You might have noticed I’m willing to let slide a lot of things” his eyes move almost unwittingly to Rana and her wolf “But this, I have to know.”

"Unintentionally worries me too" Audric sighs "But I don't suppose you are letting me get anywhere near him, am I correct?"

"That's what I thought." Audric seems to think for a moment, then he cautiosly says "I know a person in the order I can trust. I can talk to him, see what he knows, and you can talk with this source of yours. We could arrange meeting again here, afterwrds, and going on another little exploration of the sewers. Anybody else has suggestions?"

Ajadea, how do you want to handle the different people looking for information? Should we roleplay it, or simply do a time-skip to when we're all togheter again?

"Do any of you know of any druids in the surrounding area? It's the only place that I can think of where I might be able to get information."

A gather information check would be appropriate. Possibly diplomacy check. Roleplay it if you wish, but probably no more than 1 or 2 roleplay posts.

"Now, I don't think I'm the right person to answer that question" Audric replies, surprised that Rana has been so open "And I don't think you'd want me to hear the answer, either. So" he continues, getting up from the table, careful not to knock anything over "I'll to leave you to discuss it, while I'm going to talk with the person I mentioned. Let's arrange to meet again here. Tomorrow morning? I'd prefer not going in the sewers when it's dark"

((I'm going to summarize the roleplay for the gather information check, as it would take more than one post to do in the standard format))

After arranging a time for the meeting, Audric is going to talk with his mentor. While not actually lying, he is not going to share the details of what happened in the sewers - he will say he needs more time to look into it before making a report. If pressed, he'll give the most sketchy account possible.
He'd bring the conversation on the topic of dragon descendents, trying to assess what the order knows and if there is information beyond the stories and legends. Also, he'd ask about increasing of strange happenings in the area.
Oh, and also, he'll ask to arrange a reward for the two guards. A promise is a promise, after all.

Yes. Yes it is. It's an understandable mistake though, both IC and OOC. IC, druids are the equivalent of priests in elven society. There are druids everywhere. That might contribute to the hatred humans feel for them, incidentally.
