Re: [Steam] Thread XIII: The World's #1 Forum-Themed Hat Acquisition Simulator
Hey, is League of Legends on Steam? I'd rather get any game I can on Steam if possible.
Considering it's a free to play game, it would be illogical for it not to be."I don't approve of society, so I try not to participate in it."

Yeah, I just have the Gibus, Cheater's Lament, and Bill's Hat. No random drops.
Bill's Hat is pretty badass, though. My PMV's! Youtube Channel

Re: [Steam] Thread XIII: The World's #1 Forum-Themed Hat Acquisition Simulator
I have to agree. It took me two hours just to get access to an airport and skydiving was all I really cared about doing after that. In particular I feel the way the game modelled driving to be infuriating.
If you really want the game, then feel free to get it. But I wouldn't suggest it to someone after having played it.

Re: [Steam] Thread XIII: The World's #1 Forum-Themed Hat Acquisition Simulator
What.
The missions in Just Cause 2 are some of the best I've seen in any game. Sure, some of them follow a formula, but most either don't or have some aspect that makes it different, this time.
Stranded is perhaps the greatest mission in any game ever, sheerly for its surprise and cleverness. Fry Me to the Moon is great as well. The only missions I actively disliked were the stronghold takeovers.

Re: [Steam] Thread XIII: The World's #1 Forum-Themed Hat Acquisition Simulator
I played the demo for like 2 hours. Yeah the missions seemed dumb, but there looked to be alot of potential there.
I would have bought it by now, but with steam I rarely ever buy games new unless I am excited enough to buy day one. The last two to do that were... Red Dead and Borderlands I thinkLast edited by Myatar_Panwar; 2010-06-29 at 07:05 AM.

Re: [Steam] Thread XIII: The World's #1 Forum-Themed Hat Acquisition Simulator
Oh god the map confused me so. It was symbols everywhere...And when I went to one it was like "DO THIS OR DIEEEEEEEEEEEEE" and then I couldn't do it so I DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEd because I had crap weapons since you have no cash and the drops are expensive and OHGOD I'M BECOMING DOGMANTRA, STOP ME NOWWWWWW.
Really, I'm just not a huge fan of sandbox games where you have to work for stuff. I'll probably end up hacking all the weapons into my game and just going on a killing spree, then I'll enjoy it :P

Re: [Steam] Thread XIII: The World's #1 Forum-Themed Hat Acquisition Simulator
So I finally got a hat on the random drop system, I was playing pipeline as heavy and managed to kill 15 people while pushing the cart with no back up and managed to move it from barely in the tunnel to just before the ramp at the end, when I finally died the game had told me I unlocked the "Hound Dog", I felt like the god of heavies was rewarding me for my work .
Too bad I wanted a sniper hat , but that's life I guess.Other Avatars:

Re: [Steam] Thread XIII: The World's #1 Forum-Themed Hat Acquisition Simulator
Well, you know, this whole business of having a limited supply of money (The only things that grant you money don't respawn) and also of having to keep track of money at all.
I mean, good lord, I don't want to have to go and pick up trash in the park for an hour before I can earn my bazooka!
And ammo! What the heck was that? I ended up using a playstyle where I actualy tried for headshots and stuff because otherwise I could run out! That isn't right!
Just Cause 2 is about crazy mayhem, not resource management! When I want resource management I"ll play dwarf fortress (and I will play it a lot cause I love dwarf fortress).
So yeah. I got rid of that aspect of the game.Avatar by K penguin. Sash by Damned1rishman.

Re: [Steam] Thread XIII: The World's #1 Forum-Themed Hat Acquisition Simulator
I think snipers could use a heavy-based buff to balance out their speed buff. Maybe make their headshots do 200-450 damage on heavies instead of 150-450. Quite a small change, I think you'll agree.
Elsewise, pick between either the revved speed boost or the revving speed boost. Adding both has made the heavy a bit too powerful. They were meant to be at a disadvantage if they were caught unrevved, but at the minute only a sharpshooting pipe demoman can take them out before they're doing their thing and adding face to boolet.Last edited by Player_Zero; 2010-06-29 at 11:17 AM.

Basically, you pick something, like, say, the number of bullets left in your grenade launcher (10) then it finds all the places where the number 10 appears in the game. Then you fire and say your gun has (9) in it now, and it checks all the spots that used to be 10 to see if they're 9 now.
Eventually, you find exactly where the game keeps track of bullets. Then you write in "99999999" and suddenly, ingame, your ammo count is 999999999!Avatar by K penguin. Sash by Damned1rishman.
