Zamira Blessed-Fox. Strange name. Sounds kind of like a hobgoblin one. Nope, sorry. I haven't heard of her. I've only been here for a couple of days.

[horngeek]

"Ah, I see.

My name's Long Tooth."

[Morty]

I'm Reelshka Trollfinger. Are you a member here?

[horngeek]

Long Tooth shakes his head. "No, I'm not. I'm just visiting Zamira and her Solar Mate."

[Morty]

Another weird term. Besides, due to the goblins' affinity with depths and darkness, "solar" has negative connotations. Well, I'm kind of hiding here. I'm afraid I haven't met this... Solar Mate either.

[horngeek]

Long Tooth doesn't find that new. Although for an entirely different reason.

He sighs. "I suppose I'll just have to keep looking for them, then. They don't seem to be here anyway... so I can wait."

[Morty]

Sure thing. Reelshka looks back at the squirrel, which has ran away in the meantime. Oh. I think I'll have to find another model.

[horngeek]

"You're an artist?"

[Morty]

Reelshka smiles bashfully. Just an amateur. I'm an architect but I like drawing in my spare time. There's so much more to draw here than in the caves back home.

Long Tooth nods. "I see. I'm not much of an artist, myself."

[Morty]

Well, not everyone needs to have a talent. So, are you a friend or a relative of Zamira? Now that she's not so afraid of Jack, typical goblin curiosity kicks in.

Inside the Infirmary

Sinopa, the foxgirl, finally wakes up, and gets off of the infirmary bed. She doesn't have to stay in here, but she deems it unwise to go outside the infirmary, considering what's happening just outside the door.

In front of the Infirmary

Two women, one armed with a spear and a tribal shield, and the other armed with a bloodstained sword and a ship's helm, ignore Garth, and they start fighting again. The woman with the sword is wearing a tunic; the other woman is wearing but a cloth bandage wrapped around her upper body, and she has a pet tiger as well.

Neither of them speak, and neither of them leave the large-ish circle that they drew in the dirt, because then, in their minds, they would be getting back on GLoG grounds, where they were ordered not to try to kill each other.

Both Ishtaroth and her tiger leap at the other woman, Ariana, in an attempt to slice her up. Ariana does a backflip dodging, then counterstrikes.

"I'm her mentor, actually. Her primary one, anyway."

One thing I forgot to mention; he has a large amount of silver tattoos.

[Morty]

Oooh. A mentor in what? Reelshka tries to listen in on the fights while talking; her sharp hearing makes it somewhat possible.

[Murkus]

Toby pauses, and gives serious thought to that before returning an honest answer. After all, there is, if not respect, at least some level of understanding between them. I don't. I stay awake for days on end before I'm too exhausted to dream. I take medication, on occasion.

However, he has to deadtime because his player has somewhere else to be...

Jack tilts his head to the side, sitting back in the chair and propping his feet up on whatever flat surface is in range. "And what are you avoiding, druid? In these dreams of yours?"

Jack hears Sinopa escaping from bed whilst Toby's deadtimed.

He calls, simply, "Come out, whoever you are. I won't hurt you if you do."

[horngeek]

"Combat, mostly. I introduced her to the Lunars who initiated her into Sorcery, as well."

[Morty]

So she's a wizard, too? Wow. Once again, Reelshka feels kind of small not only in the physical sense.

Nimai and Mara are presumably enjoying roast beef sandwiches.

Anshu and Cerise arrive by the lake and head for the main cabin.

Nimai and Mara might hear Toby and Jack Empty talking in the main room of the infirmary. Though FireFox is deadtimed, so right now it's just Jack.

Inside the Infirmary

Sinopa peeks out into the aisle (because the pixies built the infirmary long and skinny, with each bed inside partially secluded compartments), and looks at Jack Empty. "Ummm...hi," says the foxgirl who looks 8 years old.

She waves.

Outside the Infirmary

The fighting between the two women still continues!

They lunge, dodge, block, disarm each other, kick...Ishtaroth is the quicker one of the two.

While the tiger keeps Ariana at bay, Ishtaroth waves her hands in a fancy motion, and throws an acorn at the ground. A flash occurs, and Ariana now has an anklet.

Also, the battle has become completely silent. Magically silent, if you want to call it that.

[Murkus]

Jack Empty grins his trademark grin and waves back. Sinopa probably wouldn't notice the wrongness about it, unless she isn't actually a child. The children never notice.

"Hey kid. I'm Jack. Just stopping by for a... let's call it an errand."

Infirmary

Except she's really a fox, and the animals are always the first to tell when there's someone they shouldn't like, or something they should avoid. They can even tell when earthquakes are about to happen. (I think. That's usually how it is.)

"Wh-what errand?" she asks, feeling the "This man is not good for you" feeling. She backs up so that only one of her eyes and part of her head is sticking out past the dividers.

Outside the Infirmary, the battle rages on silently. Neither of them have landed a hit on the other, though Ishtaroth's wound on her back has reopened.

Jack tries to look friendly. "Oh, well, that depends. Do you happen to have a cyborg girl here? In this infirmary?"

Jack chuckles. "Ah, wait. You probably don't know what a cyborg is. Are there any girls here that have metal body parts?"

"Ummm..." Just looking at him makes it hard to think. Mostly because of the "Run and hide under the bed!" instinct.

However, if she did know what he was talking about, then she would tell him. Sadly, my characters are very uninformed, so Sinopa just shakes her head. "I don't know. Maybe," she says.

"Who are you talking to, Sinopa?" Mara asks.

[Murkus]

Jack looks at her with what appears to be sympathy. He can practically smell her fear.

So he just laughs. "Oh, that's too bad then. Now, why don't you run along back inside your room?" His gaze suddenly becomes more menacing, glowing with a horrible light. "Things out here might get a bit... bloody in a few minutes."

Sinopa looks down towards Mara, then points at Jack Empty. "That guy," she says, not mentioning how he scares her (because she's more animallike than childlike) ((Most children can't feel his aura of wrongness)).

Sinopa does as Jack asks, and ducks back to the bed she was just on.

Jamie, meanwhile, undeadtiming, walks over torwards the window.
"What's going on?" she asks Sinopa and Mara.

It might be noted that, back at the camp, Jack et al. only saw her as Mikani, who looks and sounds rather different.
