Henri steps forward, addressing the ghost directly. Can you tell us what happened to you? And who did it?

The spirit cranes his neck to look up at Henri, blinking his remaining eye rapidly. "You! ...are not one of them. Too big. And the wrong colour, methinks. How did you escape? No one escaped!"

Henri speaks softly to the others. Too big, wrong color...well, that eliminates some possibilities. While leaving us the goblins as suspects, I imagine.

And then he addresses the spirit, trying to soothe it.

We did not escape; we were not here when...whatever this was happened. We want to know about it, that we might find those who did it and bring them to justice, and in doing so help you find peace.

"Justice? Ahehehe... no, there will be no justice. Injustice found us in the East, it was waiting for us in Seurd, and now it has followed us here. But we were not finished, yet. It was not even spring. We will rebuild, continue on, as we always do. But there is no one left!"

The ghost begins pacing back and forth in front of the door again, raising a hand as if to get your attention, then dropping it, finding nothing to say. Then it suddenly spins twice around in all defiance of inertia and faces you with a dissonant grin. "But you are here! You... left, so you are left. I can act. So I... choose... you!"

Diving forward, Rubin flits past Henri and floats up eyes to eye with Wildgeist, blinking blearily. "Yes. Much better." Momentarily losing its cohesion, the spirit flows into the half-orc, a faint blue mist forcing itself into his skull.

Henri looks on with horror as the spirit appears to vanish while it dissolves into his comrade. W....Wild?

"Ah, and I can see properly again. Yes..." Wildgeist - or the spirit within him - ignores you entirely, drawing the axe and inspecting it with a sniff. "Such an unwieldy tool. But there is work to do."

Setting a torn-off door from a nearby house on the ground, he begins splitting it into thinner lengths, although it is not yet clear to what purpose.

You can get a vague sense of the spirit's thoughts - they mostly seem centered around making tools, planting the fields, and killing whoever attacked Actia, concurrently or consecutively and in no particular order.

Wildgeist will try to comunicate with Rubin's ghost.
Rubin, please tell me who did this to you, were did they came from, why did they did this to you... Anything we can use to find them and make them pay for what they've done.....

Henri flinches back as Wild's body raises the axe, torn between defending himself and wishing not to injure Wildgeist's fleshy form. But when he sees the spirit has something other than violence in mind, he remains still, waiting to see how this plays out. Henri also motions for Amy to do the same. One of the restless dead of this doomed place seems to have found a home inside our friend. If he tries to fight us, stand back and let me handle it. I'm fairly skilled with my fists, and ought to be able to knock out Wild without causing him any permanent injury. But for now, let's see what the smith's spirit has in mind. Not the ideal way to get answers, but it may work nonetheless.

"Ok, I will just stand back and mount a watch at the exit in case something comes up..." says Ameretat as she goes to mount guard...

Wildgeist continues chopping wood, gathering a pile of rough boards inside the smithy. Once done, he starts collecting nails, ripping them out of any structure that appears beyond repair, and sets about restoring them to usable condition with a notable lack of dexterity - perhaps the result of a spirit suddenly occupying a body thrice the size of its old one.

Your mental prodding appears to have an affect on the spirit. It slowly starts to focus more on the attack, albeit in a rather disjointed manner, and you start to catch glimpses of the attackers. Filtered through the gnome's perception, the white-scaled creatures appear to be kobolds of some sort - but you don't remember ever seeing a kobold whose breath could freeze a person solid...

None of your words appear to trigger any memories - the glimpses you catch of the spirit's thoughts are drifting back to its work.

Henri watches the spirit's disjointed repair efforts, still feeling relieved at the lack of violence but also, deep down, a little disappointed in the anti-climax. I can't believe I'm saying this, but this possession is...boring. Rubin! Tell us what you want! You can't have taken over a body just to repair an empty town...right?

[Sallera]

"...empty? No, that's not right, are you more blind than I? If it were empty, that would mean we gave up. And I am still here, so we will never give up." The spirit's mutterings are difficult to catch, even with its larger body, as though it were simply thinking aloud. It still doesn't seem to be acknowledging you, although the construct under its hands is starting to take shape - several thin boards, each bearing several close-set nails at the end, connected to a longer shaft. Wildgeist examines it critically, evidently displeased with the work. "Not enough weight; this will never work. I must find better materials..."

"Do you think it might be good idea to play along with the specter? Maybe if he help him fulfill his goal, he will let Willy go..." asks Ameretat to Henri, trying to find a solution to this problem...

If you think it will help. So long as we can keep the spirit from getting hostile, it will have to let go of him eventually.
