X-COM (original) livestream to begin shortly, will link when it's ready.

Note: Might have to leave for random errands or whatever in the middle, not sure.

Edit: Had endless trouble getting Procaster to cooperate. As a result, I'll have to go with a resized Monitor stream. Sorry about that. On the bright side, I can mess with people by streaming the livestream window itself. Infinite recursion.

Whoa, check it, guys, Alien Swarm.

    Gameplay.

Looks like Valve are reusing some sound assets, I heard some reused bits. Also if one of you dies, you all fail. Fancy that.

The little "mission failed" window said "no live tech marine," so that might have been a mission-specific requirement. Still looks awesome either way.

Well there is a headcrab in the achievements... Hmmm...

New IDE/Theory, Alien Swarm takes place after humans have finished off the Combine and all moved to Xen, leaving Aperture Science and GLaDOS alone on Earth.

What say we set up a bug hunt for Monday evening, any takers?

I should schedule that. I really should.

    B. I am not busy around the scheduled time.

    I am in IF:

    a) the game is released on time and
    b) it's released at an hour suitable for us UK-types.

Otherwise, a second event might need to be scheduled for GitP Alien Swarm blasting in the UK timezone.

Okay, big gripe here with L4D2.

The servers and my connections to them suck. Not like, a bit of suck. Like, I can't even move, I attempt to reconnect every 5 seconds and I get killed instantly by anyone who picks on the person who is not even moving.

The only server I seem to be okay on is our own server and the ones that are dedicated.

This is not funny. This is not FUNNY AT ALL. So BRINDLE, don't ever say it is funny, because I am not here to be lag and be mocked.

If I am lagging, I will tell everyone, and I want to be given a minute to figure out what the [expletive] is going on. Otherwise, I will rage and quit at the event of people getting cheap shots at my lagging figure.

You do realise that I may be a Medic, and choose to revive my teammates with uncanny precision and debuff you to the extent that you are a sitting duck that every alien will love to che upon, right?

Also, I assume that if any of us dies, we fail. It's just that in this case, they are highlighting who specifically was killed, so if the Medic dies, you may get a game over due to "No live Medic."

    oh god, that game.

Phase, Brynbot (replaced by Blackfox after he raged), Jibar, Me.

We had a 930 point lead, which meant even if they did the finale perfectly they couldn't quite win. We decided to see if they could make it, so we all ran down to the helicopter and chilled there.

There were no survivors. The only thing in the helicopter at the end of the round was the tank.

You got quite the lead. We knew we were struggling. Although, to be fair, we gave you a hurting when we were playing Infected. My 1000+ damage that one round was the highest I've seen so far. And I remember someone having trouble with a Jockey on the bridge.

At some point I'd like to steam Space Oddessey: Voyage to the Planets. T'was a cool 2 part BBC production posing as a 'Documentary' of a fictional manned voyage to various planets in our solar system. It's very scientifically hard, the only pieces of technology that are 'science fiction' are very plausible, i.e. Magnetic Field generators and fusion engines.

Anyone interested? If nothing else, you get to see a group of astronauts mess around on Mars for a week or so :-p
