Default The Legend Zelda: Post Wind Waker IC

As you exit your respective ships and come up to the main port, your groups give each other odd looks.

The heavily armored knightly looking men escorting a tiny Rito girl and her floating fairy are obviously suspicious of the thuggish looking Greudo woman and her masked friend. One of them march up to you and say "You had better watch yourself, Greudo." before turning back to join his fellow warriors.

You both have your eyes on certain locations throughout the city, for the masked man and the Greudo, you are more inclined to turn left, as that will lead you into the slums and back alleys where you can lay low if you must. For the Rito and the fairy, you favor the elegant looking light house, surrounded by guards and respectable looking shop owners, to your right.

The tiny Rito bumps into the woman with her dual bastard swords, having tripped on her own feet from the nerves of being in this new town.

Iora jumps back reflexively, startled by the fact that she apparently didn't see the gerudo. "Oh, sorry, I must have..." She trails off, looking in shock at the strange, heavily armed woman. She takes another step back, just for good measure.

When Sylphina entered Windfall, she knew that the reception wouldn't be friendly. Still, that hardly meant anything to her. She could deal with glares or looks of mistrust. However, the red haired woman took it as an insult when a knight approached her and warned her directly. Remarkably, she held her tongue but all one needed to do was look at her returning glare and her clenched fist to know what she was truly thinking. Asul could hear the further proof that came moments later after the knight was out of earshot, "I'm not the only one, tin head." Sylphina did her best to remember his tone, his face and his body type. She silently prayed to Din that she would be given a chance to bat him around with her swords one day. She was put in a bad mood and likely wouldn't take a second insult quietly.

As the pair continued on, she felt something brush up against her. She immediately turned towards the latest source of her aggravation and started to shout, "WATCH WHERE YO-" Sylphina suddenly stopped as she took in the sight of a nervous looking rito girl. The rage in her eyes quickly faded as she appraised the girl, great...yell at a frightened birdy why don't you...she's not worth it. Despite her temper, Sylphina had limits. There was little need nor challenge in beating up a rito teenager just because she was angry. This was especially true since this rito had not done a single thing to her that couldn't be counted as an accident. The gerudo woman took a deep breath and seemed to calm herself down, "...Look, I didn't mean to scare you alright. I'm just having a lousy day and you...well...most gerudos have short fuses. Be careful next time." It seemed like she was trying to apologize for railing on her a few seconds earlier.

With that she gave a small wave. By now her tone was much friendlier than before, "Anyway, you can run along now. I have business to attend to." She turned back to Asul and seemed ready to continue following him through the streets.

Asul takes a deep breath and lets out a sigh, one which would connotate his very thoughts at the moment: Why does this always happen to me?

After taking a look behind him to see if the guard took notice of her yelling, and the fact that they were giving an escort to a Ruto and a Fairy who look completely ordinary as far as he can tell, he says to Sylphina, "The shop should be just around the corner. Only a few more steps before you have to be judged again *said in a sarcastic, yet uncannily emotionless manner which Asul always seems to speak with*. "

"THAT'S NOT A PROPER APOLOGY YOU COPPER-SKINNED, HALF BAKED HARLOT! AND YOU! WHAT'RE YOU NOT LOOKING AT? If you're gonna hide your OWN face you could at LEAST look at OTHER people's! " Nettle shouted, reflexively and without consideration for the consequences, at least not until immediately afterwards. He lowered his voice such that he thought only Iora could hear now... "That was a normal greeting right... the rude shouting at all? That's how you bigger folk usually say hello?"

The fairy, not incredibly well suited to social discourse, was intelligent enough to realise he had probably been wrong about the greeting. He raised his voice again, quickly apologising "Er, hey Uhm Listen er I didn't. sorry I... don't never, dealt, people... not great with them. You shouted, and he shouted I thought the shouting was what we did around... sorry." The glow around Nettle faded very quickly so that in the daylight it was hardly noticeable, he fluttered down to Iora's shoulder and, embarrassed, hid in her hair.

Sylphina was ready to give a tongue lashing of her own when she heard another decidedly male voice yell out an insult her. However, a look of surprise and confusion crossed her face as her eyes focused on the small fairy that was floating around the Rito. Initially, she hadn't even noticed him but between his glow and his words, he was rather hard to ignore. In her mind, she couldn't help but think, This little glowing gnat called me a... Her thoughts seeped out of her lips as she uttered the insult once more, "...'copper-skinned, half baked harlot'?..." One might assume that this was the point where a normal gerudo snapped. Considering her previous comment about her race's short fuse, it would not be a total shock, guards or no guards.

The young gerudo didn't reach for her weapons or make any physical move against the rito girl or the fairy. Instead, she just began laughing. With a smile, she idly spoke to Asul, "Looks like you were wrong about that last comment. I didn't even get a few more steps. Get a load of this fairy! If nothing else, he's got guts. I like that." She continued to laugh as she turned her attention to the fairy who happened to be hiding on the rito, "You two make a good pair! As entertaining as this has been, we really need to get going. Later." With that, the gerudo turned around and gave a backhanded wave to the pair. It seemed that Sylphina found the idea of a being so small talking so tough absolutely hilarious. The anger had all but evaporated for the time being.

Asul felt his skin shudder at the light the Fairy was emanating, but he had felt this before when dealing with friends of clients of his, so even though he twitched slightly, it is an unfortunately familiar one to him that he simply has to deal with.
In relation to Sylphina's comment he states "...so I stand corrected."
Asul continues walking towards his boss' stall, hoping that this week won't get any weirder than it already has. Fat chance of that happening...
But... why were they under the protection of the guards?
Even though it prodded at his brain for an answer, he figured that he can give it one or find out at a later time. For now, seeing his employer is a more pressing matter.

Iora quietly watches the Geruto and Twili leave, murmurring "Such nice people... I hope not everyone on this island is like her. What do you say we go find out what's going here?" Without waiting for a reply, Iora starts walking towards the most heavily populated part of town and, hopefully, away from the other two.

Iora, followed closely by Nettle, make it to the windmill base before too long. There are many people, most of them human. They are not used to seeing Rito walking about the good part of town, so they give you strange looks.

As for the Greudo and Asul, the lower part of the town judges no one, but it does try to steal your purse and slit your throat. You know to watch your back, but then again, you are used to that sort of thing. Asul knows where the Goron is, but he has been told never to show the Goron's enemies where he lives.

"...we are here." Asul points to the open air stall where his boss works, who happens to be manning the store at this very moment. With that, Asul will walk up to him.
Very curtly, Asul greets him with, "Hello boss."

Thankfully, the gerudo woman had stopped laughing long before the pair had arrived at the open air stall in the lower section of Windfall. The fairy and the rito were still on the back of her mind but they were pushed aside for more important matters. Namely how would Asul's contact react to the sight of a gerudo.

Sylphina still expected to be outright rejected without even given a chance to prove herself. Hence why she made her secondary arrangements with her new ally. Furthermore, she was in a good enough mood that she was willing to humor things that might normally have offended her. As soon as Asul told her the location, she spoke briskly, "I think I'll back off a bit and give you a chance to warn him. No sense scaring your contact right off the bat. Wave me over when your ready." Without waiting for a response, Sylphina split off from Asul and took up a position across the street from it. Clearly, she was trying to give him a chance to inform the contact about her existence before actually seeing her.

Of course, she knew it would probably look suspicious if she was just leaning against a wall and staring at the stall. So she decided to entertain herself. The red haired woman reached into her pack and pulled out a red shawl. She began to practice her sword techniques without drawing her weapons. To the unenlightened, it would seem like she was just a street performer trying to earn a few rupees. Of course, she wouldn't reject any rupees that happened to fall her way due to her 'dancing'.

    Spoiler
    Show
Sylphina will be dancing across the street and glancing at the stall every so often. For the moment, she won't approach it at all. If she is forced to wait more than an hour, she will certainly make her presence known regardless if the contact is ready or not.

"There are lots of critters with many kinds of eyes in Forest Haven... none of those eyes have ever looked like those of these people right now..." Nettle murmured into Iora's ear as he took off from her shoulder hovering slightly above her head. He wasn't quite sure where they could head t next. The so-called templar didn't seem like the kindest bunch of big-folk around, and it seemed they had ties to this High-town region. The alternative, rogue-ish individuals like the Gerudo (both of them) that Nettle had met so-far, also didn't seem particularly enticing.

"Should we ask some of these people in the streets? They seem like they'd know... stuff...?" In truth, Nettle had absolutely no idea as to what kind of town they were in. As far as he was aware this could have been the shady, criminal part of the settlement. "How about one of them?" The fairy buzzed off to circle around some of the citizens in teh street.

"LOOK!"He called back to his Rito companion indicating he had found a group he thought looked clever... maybe?
