Again, it's not the logic that was posited that makes you suspicious, Philistine, its the reason behind your point and the reasoning you gave. Discouraging Logic in general, as opposed to, lets say, Llama logic, or silly logic, makes fewer people want to speak out, which creates more of an atmostphere where the wolves can take advantage and win out. Especially with two of the killers already gone, and this looking to come down more to which pantheon can manipulate the town.

Day 8 Ends

Seeing the priestess rise up to the heavens gives the village of Greece hope. Hope in that their fight against the gods is going well. Hope in that they are successfully catching and lynching them with logic. Hope in that logic is correct, even when they kill an innocent.

There she goes! Says Philistine, pointing at the Priestess on her way to Mount Olympus.

Take a pill, I was just pointing out the obvious. Why are you trying to kill people? Are you one of those vile killer gods - Bill?

This starts a battle of wills between Bill and Phil, which is soon noticed by Gil, Jill and Lill. It continus until all have had their fill or become ill. Still, it will end in a kill. Both run up the hill into the mill. Bill attacks Phil with a quill. Phil responds and grabs the till from the windowsil and smashes it on Bill until he is still, screaming "Just Chill!". He checks the pulse - nil.

On Logic, Fun, and The Game
The thing is, Titans is sort of an odd duck among WW games. The villagers can't rely the Seer using scries to form a network, because the scries aren't reliable - too many Wolves (and even a pair of blind allies) who can foil the attempt one way or another. At the same time, the Wolf teams being both fragmented and mostly blind means that vote analysis - usually the primary arena for logic - doesn't tell us much either. It's almost as if the game was intentionally designed to render the normal methods ineffective. The one reliable source of information in the game is... Cupid. Assuming s/he's still alive, and that the list of Known Wolves s/he got at the start includes anyone else who's still alive, that is.

Still, we do have one thing going for us: Each individual Wolf pantheon is looking down the barrel of 4 vs 48 odds (with only 2 of the 4 on each team aware of each other, and their Devils' scries just as unreliable as the Seer's). The 32 vs 4 vs 4 vs 4 vs 4 vs 4 odds faced by the Villagers puts us in a much more favorable position. I'm really not trying to foster complacency here, because winning is fun - but honestly, chances are we will win.

Of course when I say "we" I'm speaking of Team Villager in general. Many (if not most) of the individual Villagers won't survive to see it. So for the rest of us (including myself because I'm pretty sure that I personally have yet to survive any WW game as a Villager), we might as well try to have our fun on the way however we can - tell a joke... have a laugh... do something absolutely nuts just for the sheer, glorious Hell of it. *coughReinholdt!coughcough*

So "being a humorless killjoy" was my real reason for pointing at Bill. The other part was, ah... sort of an inside joke; I just couldn't resist trying to slip it in there. Successful, in that it reached the target audience; doubly successful, in that others clearly didn't realize there was any kind of joke there at all. (For the record, "logic" and "Titans game" in the pointing post were totally euphemisms. Double entendre FTW!)
But you know what? If you really feel it's necessary to kill me for getting my fun all up in your Serious Business - fine, okay, whatever. Do that. Of course it won't help you Win the Game (unless you're a Wolf); but like I said, the odds favor us by a fair bit anyway.

I think if you go back and find Titans I you'll find a discussion along those lines. I'm not 100% sure about that, but it's pretty well accepted that this is true in any case.
