Ariel, you should be one of the people that know the Nids are still around. After all Diva should have told you so stop facepalming. Faen in armor? Seems she has made a full recovery. And someone is looking to hijack a golem.

Oh SNAP. The fungus that kills mana using creatures is back.

For those that don't know is a side story some Jaal went to the surface and deilberatly infected some Relic Hunters with what seems to be a bioweapon so they could take samples back to Chel. This fungus is a real nasty weapon and once it gets unleashed there may be no stopping it. (Ah found the story: http://www.drowtales.com/mainarchive.php?id=1344 )

I think Diva might show up sooner than I thought. Ariel may well just go and ask her about something like this. On the fun side Ariel is probably the worst nightmare for the Jaal. Their creations are very vulnerabel to Ariels abilities.

The drow race are so doomed. Their mana is more of a liability than a benefit. Well, more room for the humans, I guess. Good riddance to the drow, they where jerks anyway.

Hmm. We are getting Diva in flashback. They surprised me a little. :) Seems that Diva is trying to prepare for the end of the Moonless Age and preserving what knowledge she can. She clearly sees that the wars are coming and can no longer stop them or even get anyone to beliver her. Diva is a Cassandra I guess. No wonder she seems so down. She also is playing teacher to the twins which must be a real chore was well.

Ariel and Diva still argue and Faen plays moderator. I suspect that Diva is also teaching them things even if they don't relaize it much. Well, Ariel may not realize it much. Faen seems to be quicker on the uptake.

Looks like the system Diva was running wasn't too bad. The people in the area had a voice in who ruled them (wow, a little democracy!) and when the Clans fought, they where supposed to do it out away from inhabited areas. The system was not perfect and even Diva admits it, but it worked farily well. Certainly things where a lot better then for the common poeple then they are now.

I would expect Ariel to look a bit like Quain, hopefully not too much though. What I really don't Ariel to do is ACT like Quain.

As for this story here is guess as to what is going to happen.

Blossom (the Queen in this story and a childhood friend of Diva and Ash) has been hinted at being related to Quain (her mother?). The Flower Knight gets his flower and wins Blossom's heart. Problem, the flower is a stage of the highly lethal mana eating fungus (The hermit that pionted him to the flower knew this?). Quiain gets shipped to Chel, but no one knowns who she is in all the confusion and she later founds the Clan. In other words tthe REAL history of the Clan. Remember earlier Diva said that Ariel didn't know the history of her Clan?

It's drowtales. The thing lives by the Trope "Break the Cutie". Surprised Diva didn't mention at Blossom (The Quees in the story) was a childhood friend of hers.

No, Faen makes other people's head blow apart (or will before to much longer). Faen is one of the better people in this series and I think she had been through more than enough already.

I really wonder how Diva can hide it from her own kid who she is. Silice should wonder why she looks just like her mother at some point. On the other hand there is one big difference Diva can play up, her eyes. She now has drow eyes (red center) where before she had dark elf eyes.

Did Diva bowed out of going on this partol because of where they going? Ash is one person that could ferret Diva out and Diva may be more than a little worried on how Ash would react.

From what we have seen of Silice, she does not appear to be the sharpest knife in the drawer. She could have won Chrys over, but no, she had to an ass about it. Twice.

Ash'waren is ill? Did she overeat on candy while the people starves? Or perhaps a freak sex related accident? Or maybe her bones has finally become brittle after being carried around of a few centuries?

PREDICTION: Ash'waren kicks bucket and Faen becomes leader of the clan. She uses her emo teen angst to turn the clan into a merciless all-conquering war machine and goes on a rampage through the three worlds.

I think Ash is suffering the effects of extream age like Diva did. I wonder if Ash kept going because she hated Diva and now she has lost that focus. Also with the wars going on she might also be feeling no small amount of regret about them. She might also be suffering the realization that Diva was right so long ago. We will just have to wait and see. And poor Faen so scared and nervouse. :(

If Ash'waren pulls some kind of guilt trip on Faen, I will have to puke. I wish Faen had it in her to mock Ash at this point, but that's not going to happen. More teen emo angst coming up. What happend to the Drowtales where people where killing each other left and right?

No guilt trip. A verbal beatdown. Ash really is not acting very good. In fact hse is acting rather petty. No wonder Faen is nervouse about being in the same room with her.

I think she is getting into full blown paranoia territory now. But maybe with a reason. That new scar she is sporting could be the result of a failed poisoning attempt. I suspect the Nids on this one. They did it with the Beldrobbaen (Made the ruler think the slaves/servents where plotting against her and it really weakened the Clan). Maybe not though.

Well, seems that Ash is not toaly nuts and now trust Faen. Oddly enough Ash is doing the same thing Diva is doing, preparing for the big crash. (Ash getting her loyal kids to safety. Diva preserving important books and teaching some people so they have a better chance to survive). And we see Mel again. (Shocked)
