    ooc: i agree that whatever this thing is, its probably too tough for us. however, Fizzlebort is MIA in 'hot elf realm' or something, and whilst going to the town watch might be feasible, i doubt they do little more scratch themselves, seeing as how they handled their "investigation". We should try to get out of here though, and try to form a plan of attack.

    Ooc: Its a giant freaking spider with spikes on it. At level one, there is no "plan of attack".


    Hmm, what if we told the children's parents about what had happened. Maybe we will get lucky, and one will be strong enough to help us.

    Ooc: If you're discussing things like plan of attack you're talking to each other in game even if you put "Ooc:" in front of it so the spider heard what you're saying and is looking at you angrily.

    "Then I will slay you all myself!" the spider says getting ready to move forward.

    Alex turns to the orc, shouting "GO! FOLLOW THEM!". Alex will wait for his companions to get to the stairs, covering them if necessary, then follow them up the stairs, taking the total defense action as he moves up the stairs after the rest of the group, keeping his shield side to the monster as he flees after his companions

    You all head up the tunnel. You reach the orc's basement. The sight of corpses almost looks comforting compared to the giant spider.

    Looking back down the stairs, watching the spider approach, Alex tries to formulate an idea, anything that will slow down or weaken the creature."It's moving so slowly that we might be able to land a few potshots on him before he gets out..." Alex checks his supply of javelins, knowing he would be able to fling all three down at the creature well before it would be able to emerge. he turns to the orc tailor.
    "Sir, you have been in the presence of the spider more than any of us. What can you tell us about it's behaviour? Does it have any weakness that you know of?"
    before allowing the man to answer, Alex turns to the rest of the party.
    "All right, we need a plan of action, and we need one fast. i say we get in what hits we can from afar and then flee to a more defensible position, personally i can't think of any way that we could barricade that thing away, and i don't think there's anyone else around that's qualified for this situation. But, if anyone does have some insight here, do share."

    Suddenly, it clicked. "Quick, everyone look for some hay! If we hurry, we can lock the spider in with the burning hay and suffocate it!" He shouted, looking around and peaking into the street.
