Actually, given how there seem to be pages that go out and act alone (while being members of groups), likely more an issue of being wary of retribution from other people possibly more powerful.
In short, if you're in a group, then they know you have someone who'll get revenge for you, so are less likely to arbitrarily attack you.

Unless she comes from a long line of Mystic-Ninja, or related to some mythical swordsman and inherits the style, if she wants in on the fighting she's going to have to become a Page or Librarian.

I concur. Unless she gets killed off at some dramatic moment she's gonna end up as mission control at some point. That or she'll be the one that comes up with cover stories for Ben/Raoul when the non-awakened people wonder why they're acting so strange. Like a PR department.
