Re: Bibliography II
Ooh, interesting.
And what's with the whole "blood only pages can use"? I though Pages were just stronger, faster, humans with magical powers.

Re: Bibliography II
A+ not putting all of that text in a huge ugly bubble but breaking it up into sub-bubbles! ("subbles") Elagune/Elagorn/Elabelabobela, you a guy (or girl?) who designs things to please mine eyes.
In any event, now we know the five major powers in the city! And here's Eve, right here, even though she's (maybe?) on the run from the Lunar Codex!
Also what is the Frankenstein's codex like I wonder >.<

Re: Bibliography II
I'm seeing them as having Mad Science/Lightning based abilities. They fight indirectly, sending their Monsters to do battle for them, while staying in the back row, boosting their creations with spells...
If this turns out to be true, DIBS ON MAKING ONE FOR THE CHAR DESIGN THREAD!
Ooh
Spell Ideas
UberBoost: The Target receives a temporary boost to strength and speed, however once it wares off, the target is weakened. Usually used on Creations, but when desperate, a Mad Scientist will use it on themselves.
Lightning Coil: Sends a blast of lightning, can be used offensivelyS, or, if used properly, can boost a Creation (Which are animated by Lightning after all).
Surgeon's Eye: Caster gains incrediable fine motor control and the ability to see through Flesh (It's transparent for them), making them great surgeons. Can also be used offensively to pinpoint a target's weak spots for when the Scientist needs to get their hands dirty.
Edit: Or if they just modify themselves, Dibs anyway. I feel like making one, as soon as we learn how they work.
Hrmm, maybe their Trade is Brilliance in exchange for an obsessive pursuit of knowledge.
Descending Pages of Frankenstein's codex don't start cackling, laughing and saying things like "I'LL SHOW THEM ALL". That's the sign of a healthy page of the frankenstein's coded (Well, they only do that occasionally). It's when they start working very, very quietly, with intense focus, and stop bragging about their breakthroughs that you know they're starting to descend.Last edited by BRC; 2010-09-11 at 08:52 PM.

Re: Bibliography II
I'm confused... I was under the impression that the Holy Codex was part of Tiltstone's Five High Codices, yet Eve's Hospital Discourse didn't list it amongst them...
But looking back on them... here... that wasn't necessarily the case. Maybe it was just my natural inclination to think of the Holy Codex as a "High" Codex... Quite apparently, I'm wrong.

Re: Bibliography II
It actually seems to be based off of the power of the codex in the area. Which means it is a combination between member numbers and fighting power of said members (though the All-Seeing Codex get's counted due to power of intelligence).
Most likely, even if the Holy Codex is more powerful in a fight than some of the High Codices, it wouldn't count due to the members inability to break any rules they know apply to them (thus preventing them from making full use of their powers. At least without going to law school or finding some other way of learning how to get around laws without breaking them).

Re: Bibliography II
Since I'll probably be a little busy these next couple days with schoolwork (Professors still trying to beat the summer out of us at this point), updates will become a little slower. I've been trying to draw a page whenever I can, but I even managed to fall asleep at my table once.
So to tide you guys over, I'll be releasing some early concept art. There isn't much, but it's there. You guys can also appreciate how crappy my art was!

Occult Computer? Pfft.
Take it from a pro. I tried to steal a bit of the Giant's artist skillz. I managed to crawl away with a whole limb left, and about a milligram of skill.

Re: Bibliography II
It's really all relative. It seems easy for people in certain majors and hard for others. For example, people always seem to wince when they hear mine (Mechanical Engineering, with a Business Minor) but I don't think it's really that bad (apart from some BAD professors).
