We begin upon Chris Wogal, standing in front of a principal's desk, held by large, robotic hall monitors. Who knew? He wears his lab coat, apparently shouting something about becoming the greatest supervillian ever. The rather paunchy, bored-looking principal gazes upon him with little interest. Suddenly, Chris spouts something that he recognizes. A name.
Andrew Wogal.
Yes, that does seem familiar. The principal sits up in his chair and asks chris a few questions.


Chris, I am overjoyed to meet you face to face.
You've been getting quite a name all around the place.
tripping criples. Raising zombies from the dead.
And now i see you're Wogal's son?

The robots eventually drag Chris out of the room, still kicking and screaming, and drop him in the hall, disgraced.

He stands up and brushes himself off.

Vo is there by him.

From down the hall, there's a rather odd girl. She has long black hair with purple streaks and her grey eyes are rimmed with black. She is pale and wears an ochre tank top under a black canvas jacket that looks like it's been crucified twice. It lacks its right sleeve. The left hand is covered by a leather glove.
She wears dull grey carpenter jeans and tanker boots and her nose is pierced.
She blinks at Chris from down the hall.

[Durp]

Chris takes a look at her and raises an eyebrow, then turns to Vo.
I've been chewed out worse.
He cracks his neck.
Just another pickle on the crap sandwich that is my day. C'mon, let's get to class before i get beat up or something.

[Beans]

Vo heads to class with him.
There's always a way for it to start sucking less, Chris.

The strange girl ends up in class a few seats behind them.

[Durp]

The teacher starts talking about physics. Nobody cares.
Pfft. If you say so. I swear to the gods, once that death ray's done, Principal Schrecklich is dead.

[Beans]

She puts something in his hand.

If he looks down, he'll be holding what looks to be a pocketwatch made of refurbished scrap, mismatched and beaten.
There's a glowing red S on the watchface. S for Scourge.

Elsewhere, they can see a girl with whiteblond hair (pink tips, natch) sitting and staring straight down.
... Oh, hey, that Daisy chick got back from the hospital.
What happened: Daisy Hauke, one of the more popular rich kids, had a party. Surprisingly, Chris was invited, though his invitation probably got torn before it got to him.
Somebody put a bomb in the punchbowl. The bomb put a piece of the punchbowl in her eye.

[Durp]

Chris gives himself a high five inside his head.
Y'know, that wasn't exactly the nicest thing to do, she never laughed at you. They're all the same type. After the mustard incident... Talk to her right now or i will sing justin bieber songs at a high pitch for the next week. AH! OKAY!
He scoots over to her.

Vo watches them, but looks down.

He gets up from his seat. The teacher could care less. Chris seems unaware of either of their existences.

Thryza and Vo look at each other across the room and leave.

Chris snaps, and a hoverbike pulls up at the door of the school. He hops on, and beckons.

She shrugs and gets on.

Vo fumbles in her wallet for something in the bathroom as Thryza stares out the window at Chris and Daisy.

They speed off, and after an hour they arrive at a big ol' green hill, overlooking the city they're in. The sun starts to set.

He plops himself in the grass, looking out at the view.

When Vo gets back home, she's bruised and beaten somewhat, leaning on Thryza for support.

She pulls back after a second.

Vo is huddled in her usual spot, a car wreck where two SUVs are in a position where it looks like one is trying to make a third SUV inside the other.
