He nods, "Aye, lead on then." He backs away from the clearing quietly, hoping to first get well out of range of their keen noses and then allow Teal to lead them towards whatever this threat may be.

Teal

Teal nods and smiles grimly. Turning away from the wolves, he circles around until he is directly behind them on the way they came from. He sticks to the shadows and carefully avoids making noise in order to stay undetected by the wolves. Better safe than sorry, after all. Once he reaches his destination, he kneels down and begins trying to trace their tracks back to the fight.

Flynn is less than subtle than he might have liked, but the only wolf that hears him step on a twig is missing a leg and in no state to go after him.

You follow the trail for about 15 mins before you find a particularly rocky area with several burrow-like holes in the ground, the 6 entrances you spot over maybe 60ft area are about 4ft across and roughly hewn rather than the neat tunnels formed by an Earth Elemental for example.

There is nothing around besides you and a few splashes of blood here and there.

Teal

Teal remains silent as he tracks, meticulously uncovering any evidence of passing by the wolves. Finally, as the group arrives at the sight of the battle, he straightens out and looks around. He looks at the tunnels suspiciously, then turns back to the others.

"The tracks end here. If anyone has a burrower Pokemon, now is the time for them to come out. Speaking of which-"

Reaching his hand up, Teal returns Wing to her Pokeball and then withdraws another from its carrier. He uses it to call out Geo.

"Check out these tunnels, and try to draw out whatever is in them."

Geo gives no acknowledgment, but sinks into the ground and proceeds to do as he is commanded.

The Elemental returns and with a touch effortlessly carves the image of what looks like a cross between an ant and a Centaur. It also carves what looks like a bolt if lightning before pointing from the ant-thing to itself.

Teal looks at the sculpture in consternation. It clearly wasn't from one of the categories that he had devoted himself to study, but perhaps he had heard about it somewhere. Covering his mouth with his hand, he searches his mind for an identification.

It's a Formian. They work jus like a regular ant colony, except they are huge and fiercly territorial. This is very likely what the wolves came up against, and may well be the specimens the Collectors have been having trouble with out here.

Before you have time to plan a 10ft tall Formian Warrior bounds out of a hole along with 2 smaller Workers. They seem a bit pissed at you for trespassing.
