Does it count if the reason I didn't look at the explosion is because I was asleep? Because that's what woke me up; a very loud, concussive "Boom". After which there was a rush of static-like hissing and eventually, the telltale rotten egg smell they add to gas lines so that you can tell when your apartment is being flooded with noxious fumes.

The premises were vacated, and emergency services were notified (on foot, mind you. I don't have a phone right now), and that got cleared up while for whatever stupid reason the rest of the complex just slept. Also, where was my landlord? He lives in the same building. Nowhere to be found.

Whatever. Crisis averted, let's go back inside and slee--... bees. I haven't seen more than like 4 or 5 bees in the entire time I've been living here in Michigan (about 9 months). Now I know why - they were all lying in wait for this moment, so that they could live in my apartment. Did you know bees are attracted to lights? I did not. But they kept ramming themselves against my ceiling light when they weren't buzzing around my head for daring to get to close. Hours pass. At long last, all the bees have been killed (I tried long and hard to make them leave. This just caused more bees to enter). I try to go back to sleep, but nothing doing.

So I'm operating on about 4 hours right now. Fun!
