Because I'm attempting to not get fat. Also, it was ice cream and cream cake. And I don't like cream, and only like ice cream when it's not absolutely freezing!

Then just eat the cake. Not wanting to be fat isn't a reason not to eat cake. Do exercise later and eat veggies, just don't skip on the cake. Unless the cake is a lie. Then you should skip on the cake.

I woke up half past twelve in the afternoon today. That should be a new record for me. I feel like such a rebel.

A minor problem, however, is that school starts at Monday, and I need to kick back my sleep scedule at least 3 hours until then.

ION: Littlest brother came home from school due to illness and now he's making repeated trips between the couch and the toilet. Poor guy - I certainly don't miss being sick in my younger days.

    EDIT:

You know, I've always wondered what lies taste like. I've imagined it as licorice with a sort of sour aftertaste, but I'm not sure about that.

Drink coasters? Clay pigeons? Frisbees? Amusing stoned people? Really tacky chandeliers? Ineffective wind chimes? To microwave it and observe the plasma?

The list goes on. If I bought Valkyrie, the last reason would be so that I could watch it.

Because sometimes there's always something else to watch, or do. Or maybe you're saving it for a special occasion.
There're always reasons why x can't be read or watched at this specifice moment in time.

However, Troll, I do recommend that you watch Fawlty Towers, especially the German episode.
ANd for the record, Fawlty Towers is very popular in Germany, so watch the frellin' episode!
Or use headphones. Put it on your laptop or computer and isolate yourself away from the world while you watch hilarious British comedy from the late 1970s.

Foxed. The book will become more foxed. And being foxed is a bad thing.
Plus eventually the decay will allow you to get high from the old books.
Foxing, unless I am badly mistaken, is the mysterious discolouration of paper over time -- I do not think a purely mechanical discolouration such as the slowly bleeding stain from a rusty pin would be called foxing. Am I wrong?

I do, however, have access to a lot of old books until September: please instruct me how to get high from them.

The reason it's called FOXing is because of Ferrous Oxide - rust. So I'm assuming concentrated foxing would be bad as it discolours the paper and can lead to damage being easier to cause.
WHile the rusting pin damage isn't technically foxing, I don't think I'm too wrong in assuming that it would be similar.

QI says that when books et older, discoloured and a bit tatty there are certain spores that can be given off by the books.
    These spores are hallucinogenic.
It would probably take a fair amount of exposure, but it is theoretically possible. It's another theory for the weird and tippy poetry and literature some writers end up producing.

I don't think it's that simple, if you'll please pardon my making an issue of it:

Oh, hey, Curls, I found something at Princeton that I thought you'd enjoy.

Apparently they have six libraries on campus, the main library being Firestone, which is three stories high, has three sub-basement levels, spans underneath the whole campus for about 500 meters, and contains 6.8 million books.

Well, I'm certainly not known for my skills in science, in fact, I'd call them mediocre at best.
And yet there's this show called The Big Bang Theory that I've only iust started watching; it's supposedly very geeky, especially when it comes to science and math etc.
I can understand more than seventy-five percent of the science/math based iokes.
But I digress, that's a lovely site and I shall be nicking it. Wish my course offered that kind of thing, they kind of almost do, but not really. Which is a shame. A crying one.

    ^_^
I love places with big libraries; how'd you find out about it?
Also, I know Princeton is on the east coast of Trogland, and apparently somewhere near the home of a certain kind of cheesecake, but I know not exactly where.
    So where is it?

When I come to Trogland for whatever reason I intend to visit some libraries or universities.
Heh, I'm tempted to do some silly.

When I buy DVDs, I tend to buy three or four at a time, often trawling through bargain bins for older films that I liked before DVDs weren't available, and that have now been released on DVD.

Then I maybe watch one of them, and leave the other lying about for ages.

Koorly, Big Bang Theory is amazing! I'm glad you like it. Jim Parson (the guy who plays Sheldon) is up for a couple awards. Plus, the gal in it is HAWT! Almost all of the humor is math/science/engineering/comic/videogame based, with all of the lovely subcultural steroetypes that comes with them. Nearly all of the characters, despite being rather over-the-top, are still endearing and relatable.

Also, huge libraries are awesome. Getting lost in the stacks with a special someone is a great way to spend an evening!

I swear Sheldon has Aspie's. Or something similar to it.
But he is funny anyway, especially his Spock technobabble speech. And he has a fun singing voice.
Penny is pretty hot, I recognise her from that 8 Simple Rules show I've seen once or twice. I like the contrast between academic smarts and normal smarts.
And a comedy about geeks is a fun thing. Especially the humour. And the stereotypes.
    Stereotypes are good fun.

I've never been lost in a large library, I've iust never been able to. Plus the stacks are veyr hard to find.
Can't see the stacks for the books.

Princeton is in New Jersey. The tour guide I had said the only concern for her own safety she ever had on Princeton's campus was getting lost in the basement of Firestone.

When I buy DVDs, I tend to buy three or four at a time, often trawling through bargain bins for older films that I liked before DVDs weren't available, and that have now been released on DVD.

Then I maybe watch one of them, and leave the other lying about for ages.

You obviously haven't been trying hard enough, or with the right company!

EDIT: The funny thing is, I've seen interviews with the guy who plays Sheldon (Jim Parson), and he said he barely understands any of the stuff, either physics related or geek culture related. Most of it her just memorizes. Which is pretty remarkable acting, if you ask me. Really rediculously remarkable acting, considering how well he pulls it off!

A very common one which is easily understood.
I also think you might need to be taught that understated Britlander humour.
    It's understated.
    And Britlandish.

And shut your mouth before you swallow a fly.

I no has girlfriend. I has no boyfriend.

And down here I has no friends with whom I can get lost in a library with. And the libraries are pants.

EDIT EDIT in response to Keld's EDIT:
That is very good acting then. I'm more impressed with the meorisation skills though as some of the things he has to say at CrAzY Sheldon paces are very complicated.
Plus his looks and acts of condescension and derision are gold. As are his attemps at social acting.
Also painfully embarrassing in a way that has you cringing.
