    And now, the henchmen lauch the last cart. This one, unlike the others, was given more fireworks, and a ramp in front of it as well. You see, this cart is the cart that they are trying to get over the walls with, as all three henchmen are in it, and firing their guns at the guards on the wall.

    On the other side, Gordon using a little used skill of his, that of being really hard to see in shadows, makes his way to the wall nearest him, hoping that the confusion on the other side should keep people from seeing him.

    (Actually, it's an electric fence as near as I can tell. Which confuses me a bit as you'd think they'd put in actual walls. )

    As soon as the cart becomes visible, the fifteen or so guards nearby open fire on full auto even as a couple of their rank fall.

    As for Gordon, he'll see plenty of guards in his area as well, the people too well trained to abandon their posts. The area inside the wall is also extremely well lit with floodlights to provide clear line of sight for everyone there.

    (I thought there were walls, okay. Most HQs have them.)

    The henchmen in the cart perish, but the cart still continues on its course.

    Meanwhile, Gordon sighs, and takes out a lava gun. He did make more than one. Gordon sets it for farthest range and small size, and tries to cut his way underground. If going over can't work, then maybe going under, and therefore not easily visible might.

    (Just a quick question. This is a night attack, right? I'm assuming that from the fireworks. And if so, um...isn't lava actually rather bright and easy to see at night? )

    (Well, it was daylight when I started. The fireworks were more of a distraction and a speed boost. I'm not sure, also, while lava would be bright, its hard to see it if the barrel is right next to the ground, and not aiming up. Basily, all the light of the lava is hidden within the ground itself.)

    "Alright, get the wounded out of here, and get those carts away from the fence, now!" shouts one officer, and several of the guards carry out the wounded soldiers while a couple others leave through the gates to move the carts away.

    "This is Vasquez, calling to call towers. Search your areas with infrared to cut through the smoke."


    Around the perimeter, the cameras begin to turn, doing as ordered.

    After getting a bit of a tunnel ready, Gordon gets inside the tunnel, and puts up a foldible sheet the shape and pattern of the ground where he started at the entrance.

    Then he goes back to his tunneling, trying to get into the lower levels of the HQ. Sure, it likely won't be long before someone spots the hotter than normal areas where he made his tunnel, but with luck, he will be already inside.

    Eventually, Gordon may get to the basement sublevel, this section full of steel supply crates. It doesn't appear to be guarded.

    Gordon will find a staircase, but there's a camera mounted above it with a clear view of the area around it.

    There's also a set of massive steel blast doors off to one side.

    Gordon, taking care to stay out of the camera's line of sight, goes to move a crate, then he tries to quickly carve a space for him under where the crate was. If he suceeds, he'll put on an oxygen mask, get in the space, and pull the crate over him.

    (Doing this cause I don't have much time tonight, and need a place to hide him until I can start up again.)

    (I'm back.)

    Gordon, after whatever happens while his player was away, get out his grapple gun and gets up on the ceiling. Sure, this will hurt latter, but he will try to get above the camera, then quickly slide past it onto the staircase

    The camera is mounted just above the entrance to the stairway. It's been put there on purpose so there's no really easy(or merely difficult) way to get around it.

    Though, it's probably odd that it's watching nothing.

    Hey, for all Gordon knows, they have cameras all over. Sure, there's likely something important behind the big metal doors, but he has other business to be taken care of.

    As for the camera, while it is above the entrance, it would likely have a hard time seeing what's directly to its side or what's above it. So what Gordon is trying to do is get close from above, where its not looking, then try and quickly slip through the smallest part of its vision. Unless its looking up inside of just facing the area where people would have to walk through, then he'll have to come up with something else.

    As the door swings open, Gordon will find himself in a hallway, in front of a security door. The hallway is between two glass viewing windows, stretching all along it's length, with security offices on either side. There's also a doorway to each directly to his left and right, leading to the offices. Unfortunately, there's a keypad lock on each.

    The person in the left office is looking away, but the one on the right notices the door's sudden movement and looks right at him. He's too stunned to say anything for the moment.

    Gordon smiles, and quickly heads down the hallway. Now, since there's keycards to the offices, there must be stairs without such protection so that people willout access to those areas can move around the building. So, either there's stairs down this way, or they are the other way.

    Well, then Gordon is going to run right into the Security Door. By now, the other person has noticed, and the first flicks a switch.

    Klaxons start going off.

    Then the two stand, showing strangely all black uniforms, before they head to leave their offices.

    Shoot, I hate it when I misunderstand posts, I thought that the hallway wasnt' closed off at the ends.

    Gordon, seeing that he has company coming, and since the two here are going to come out to where he can get them, he pulls out a pair of traq guns, and tries to shoot both of them the moment they step out of their offices.

    The two doors open, and one person steps out and fires a round at Gordon before being hit by the tranq. He may catch a glimpse of a Mortal Coil patch on one shoulder. The other, a woman with red hair and a patch of red scales on her cheek is smarter, and uses the door for cover. "Surrender or die!" Dizzy shouts.

    Gordon drives to the side to dodge the round, and throws a round object down the hallway towards the door Dizzy is hiding behind. If she gets out from behind cover, he'll try to shoot her with the tranq.

    The man it by the tranq, halfway knocked out by now, knows to at least take cover, and shuts the door to the control room behind him. Dizzy on the other hand does step out, ignoring the tranq that hits her shoulder, and raises her gun in two hands, firing at him.

    Unlike him, she's using real bullets.

    He'll also hear a storm of booted footsteps from beyond the security door.

    Dizzy stumbles when hit with the other tranqs and falls. With a grunt of effort, she pulls something from her side and rolls it towards him before passing out. It looks like a ball lined with dozens of needles.

    It goes BEEP BEEP BEEP even as the door to her security office shuts itself.


    "Freeze!" Comes a shout from behind him and the security door.
