Al will feel a surge of power through the dagger, and through himself. Probably a feeling he's never felt before. Unless he's messed with life forces previously.

It glows for a moment, then fades. There doesn't appear to be any immediate change in the rats.

Al takes a quick breath and then has to take a second to gain complete control of himself once again. That could be... addicting...

Though know he has to figure out if his little deal worked. Same as before, only this time Al decides to pull out a gun and shoot the rat on the... left.

[Al's Lab]

BANG!

The rat on the left is not much of a rat anymore.

The one on the right seems to convulse a little. But, this passes, and it continues doing rat things.

[Al's Lab]

Al rubs his chin and decides to repeat his previous things with two new rats. Except instead of shooting the rat he decides to cut the one on the right.

[Al's Lab]

The first rat bleeds. Depending on how deep the cut is, it might die from it.

On the second rat, its skin becomes red where the cut is on the first. Kind of like a welt.

I see you are making some progress.

((And deadtime. Night!))

Al smiles. " Yes, I am. I also believe I know how to use this power in other possible ways as well. We will see though. " He says and shrugs cleaning up the rat mess. And by clean up I mean through into the incinerator.

Incinerators are fun...

Yes. That we will.

I will caution you to not become too wrapped up in your new power. Remember, the spirit is bound to the dagger. And whoever has the dagger controls her power.

[Al's Lab]

Al's smile lessens a bit. " Yes, yes, I know. Though I suppose you intend to eventually bond these spirits to someone. Someone you trust with that much power. But that is enough of that for now. " Al says putting a dagger sheath on his belt and carefully sliding the dagger into it.

[Al's Lab]

Zavi neither confirms nor denies that course of action.

I must go now. The other spirits will not be as easy to capture.

And with that, she steps through the wall and disappears.

[Al's Lab]

Al watches her leave and then goes to his computer. He has to come up with a specific type of monster for AMEN. He also wants to continue to work with his new toy dagger. " I wonder... can I use you to store healing power in a living medium? "

He says and then goes to one of his captives that has not been experimented on. Al holds the dagger with one hand keeping it in it's sheath. " Let me see life, let me see the force that binds the body together. " The madman says trying to force the dagger to give him the power to see life force or spirits or what have you so he can more easily manipulate the life force.

Nothing happens at first. No big light show, or loud noises, or anything like that.

However, after a moment, Al may notice that the captive now seems to have a black outline to them. Other than that, they look like they did before. Probably cowering a little, expecting the dagger to explode or something.

Al concentrates on that black line. He tries to make it more prominent, make it come out further, make it show him more, let him see more. But besides that Al does nothing but grip the dagger.

The line becomes a little clearer. The captive also becomes slightly clearer, like their picture had a little work done in Photoshop.

Not much else happens.

Al tries something else after that. He tries to force the line to move, like move it by about three inches over his left shoulder.

This...takes a lot of willpower. In fact, on a first try, it won't move. On a second try, it seems to shake a little. And on the third, it moves about an inch. The third would take the most effort, likely leaving Al very winded.

He might notice that when he moved the line, it also moved on the opposite side. And what part of the body went outside of the line suddenly became monchrome.

Al actually does feel very winded. So, he pulls up a chair and sits down. He looks at where the line finally moved by about an inch. He closes his eyes and lets go of this new power he has come to posses in the dagger.

In fact, all of the power was in the dagger to begin with. Al was simply a channel for it.

Though, he'll probably need some rest before he tries that again.

Al sighs and rubs his eyes. He then looks back at his prisoner as he tries to regain some energy back.

The prisoner seems a little tired. Other than that, normal.

" Take off your shirt, I wish to see something. " Al commands the prisoner looking at the shoulders of said prisoner.

The prisoner hesitates, obviously afraid. Then, they slowly remove their shirt.

On the shoulder that he moved the line, there is a small, really dark spot taking up the exact space that turned monochrome.

" What is that? Right there? " He says pointing right at the exact spot on the person.

The prisoner turns to look at their shoulder. And their eyes widen.

I-I don't know!

[ApeofLight]

[Al's Lab]

Al squints as he looks at it. " Touch it, see if it is different form everything else that makes you up. Does it feel any different. "

[Al's Lab]

The prisoner slowly moves their hand to poke the spot. And after the poke, their expression shows a little curiosity, along with more fear.

I don't feel anything.

[Al's Lab]

Al takes out a needle and goes over to the door. He opens it and steps inside going to stab the black spot.

[Al's Lab]

The prisoner flinches away, as one would when threatened with a needle.

However, the prisoner doesn't seem to notice that the needle is in. And the wound does not bleed.

[Al's Lab]

" Hmm, interesting. " He says and then uses the needle to get some samples from the lab rat prisoner.

[Al's Lab]

If he tries to get some from the shoulder, he'll get nothing. No blood, no fluids. Maybe he could cut a chunk off.

Anywhere, else, works just fine.

If cutting it off is what he has to do then he will do it. Al just wants to get some of that black area to test. And once he does get some of it he will test it.
