What is Nexus?

Hello all,

This may seem like a silly question, but I haven't been on here long (as you can see, I'm still a Pixie). What I'd wondering is, when I'm in the freeform roleplaying forum, and people write [Nexus] or [NEXUS] before the name of their rp, what does it mean? Is it an established world that all of these games are set in?

To sum it up: It's the biggest universe in FFRP. It originated from several different Acronym Organizations which subsequently merged with the old Town Universe. Given it's improvised nature, there tends to be many, many different types of characters and references within it, so its policy when it comes to characters, magic, or plots is pretty much "anything goes".
