Raril lifts his glass in salute before downing it. He shivers a bit as the alcohol goes down. "Unfortunately, I happen to have a bit of experience with these sorts of things. Besides, we Drow live our lives in darkness. I imagine such a thing would be quite a change for someone like you?"

Nadas sighs, holding his head a bit and sitting back. Getting angry made him dizzy. Probably cause the blood wants him angry.

"Much appreciated Charity." He takes a deep breath as he thinks about what that meant in terms of the history he's studied. "Then the Felinian tragedy and Calublufiok's demise was recent, wasn't it?"

"Yeah." Charity says, with a shudder. She doesn't have the nightmares as often, but she still has them. "Less than a year ago."

Edijar snorts with a smirk and sets the glass down. "Pfft. I was born and raised in the alleys, a beggar. I killed my first man at 11 when he tried to steal the bread I had been given. My entire life has been nothing but darkness. Until my wife." he then gives a bit of a look towards the lodge Charity was in and smiles. "And Charity." He sighs happily. "They're both the best things to happen to me."

"Yeah. I was born basically right when the catpeople were attacking," Jamie says. "Mommy died then, too."

"My apologies. I did not mean to bring up harsh memories." He frowns in thought, looking down at the floor.

"They always are." Raril agrees, rolling the empty shot glass through his fingers, contemplating the way the sunlight filtered through it.

"Are you okay, Nadas?" Charity asks, while putting an arm around Jamie. She has no idea of the parental issues, but she can see he's hurting. "Losing your library must be like losing a limb." Except, limbs can be easily regrown. At least in the Nexus.

And a certain Seeing Eye Drone, now fixed up a bit, buzzes over to Quinn.
"Statement: Do you require something, Mistress Quinn?"
"Actually yes, thank you..."
And she retrieves an Application Form from the robot, offering it to Praetorious.
"Well, then, sir, if you'll just fill this out?"

Praetorious takes it and does so, almost-black eyes flicking about the form.

I still have some power from the old days, and I would protect and guard your home with my life. I can build, and... I know a bit of magic.

"Welcome to GLoG. A lot of our cabins did get damaged recently, however if you're willing to pitch in and help fix them up, that would be great, and would allow for you to stay indoors."

"My..? Oh." Nadas groans as he rubs his face with his hand, remembering all those lost books again.

"I do not think I am particularly at my peak." It was rather unusual for him to yell like that. Stress will do that though.

Edijar finishes his second shot and pours both of them a couple more, whether Raril needs it or not. "So, what are you doing here? Didn't figure you were the kind to join GLOG." he then chuckles. "Then again, I'm here only to repair things..."

"Is there anything I can do to help? Besides offering sandwiches and alcohol." Or Koolaid. She also made a big pitcher of koolaid for the underage people, but it wouldn't occur to her to offer that to an adult.

"I am unaware of anything you could do at the moment, but the extension is appreciated anyways." He stands, smiling at Charity and Jamie in an effort of reassurance.

"I think I require some sleep."
Hey look. Those bunks aren't very private. But they'll have to do.
He'll scoop up the five books he now has and take them over to one, setting them down next to it before climbing on top, robes and all. Since his clothes kind of got melted too, now that I think about it. No silly wizard-scholar-drow-demon PJs for Nadas!

Jamie nods, and tries to give Nadas an encouraging smile. "Everything will work out just fine, as long as you stick with your friends," she says, her tone and expression showing that yes, she absolutely, positively believes that.

After the wizard toddles off, she look up at Charity. "Maybe we should, I dunno, paint him some books or something?"

"I don't think I can do that, hon. They'd look like books, but they wouldn't have anything inside them." Charity says. "But if you ever go back to that other world with your parents, I bet he'd be real happy if you picked him out a book while you were there."

"Ooooooh, that's a great idea! Maybe Kevin can suggest something about magical rocks."
Jamie then gives Charity anothe hug before letting go...
"You're the greatest, Miss Charity."
...and grabbing another sammich.

"No, no. I'm not joining." Not a likely thing after he kidnapped one member and injured a few others... "Actually, I recently found out I have a son who's staying here. Though, for his safety, don't mention that fact to anyone."

Edijar nods. "I won't. I have more than a few enemies at the moment myself. I don't want to wish new ones on friends as well."

"Thank you." Raril says before glancing back at the main lodge where he left Nadas. "He seems like a good kid. I hope dropping in on him like this doesn't upset him too much."

"I wouldn't know much about kids honestly." Edijar says with a sigh. His only one had died before childbirth with it's mother, and Charity was unable to have any. Still, he didn't regret that for a moment, he still loved her more than anything else.

"Neither do I, to be honest." Raril admits. "I have few, probably more than I know of, but I never had any chance to raise any of them."

Edijar gives the elf a bit of a sad smile. "I understand perfectly. But, you know where one is now, maybe this is your chance to set it right."

"I hope so. Actually, I know where two of them are, now. Twins, believe it or not. I should check up on her now, too. I need a few questions answered, at the very least." Raril thinks for a moment and sets his glass down. "Thanks for the drink, friend. If you're ever in town feeling thirsty, come by the Black Dragon's Den. I own the place, now, so don't be afraid to drop in." The drow explains, before tipping his hat and walking off.

And now, I need some sleep. Goodnight world.

Edijar watches as the man leaves and after downing another couple of shots, takes the bottle and heads to the main lodge to see Charity and to get something to eat.

"Hey, hot stuff. Got your favorite right here." Charity says, pointing to a sandwich that she made special for him.

Edijar gives Charity a smirk and a kiss before pouring a few shots. One for himself, and two for her. "Thanks. And it'll take a while, but the cabins should be mostly repaired within a couple of weeks should all go well. I'm going to have to check the standing ones for structural damage as well." He sighs and sits next to her, wrapping an arm around her waist. "Well, it'll all depend on how many people help."

Charity leans back against him. "I'll talk to Reelshka when her player undeadtimes and see about getting her engineering team in here."

Edijar rests his head on her shoulder and gives a bit of a content sigh. "I brought some sleeping bags for us, so we can camp out in the truck and under the stars instead of being crowded in here or heading all the way back home."

"Mmm.. sounds perfect." Of course it's only lunchtime. So after a while, she lets him get back to work, and then goes to find Reelshka.
