[3.5] Magic Feats
Posted here are some home brew feat ideas for various spell casting classes.
Channel Domain Power [Divine/Turning]
(needs fluff)
Prerequisites: Ability to Turn or Rebuke Undead, access to a Domain Power that can be used once per day.
Benefit: Choose a domain with an associated domain power usable once per day. You may spend a Turn/Rebuke Undead attempt to gain an additional daily use of that power as many times per day as you have Turn/Rebuke Undead Attempts.
Clever Deception [Arcane/Eldritch]
The best artisan's learn to master what they make with their own hands. The best liars learn to find the truth through clever deception.
Prerequisites: Detect Magic as a spell like ability at will, Deceive Item class feature, Magic Device Attunement.
Benefit: To use this ability the Warlock must make a Use magic Device check to attune to a magic item without taking ten. If they succeed in attuning to the device then they automatically learn its properties as if they had cast Identify on it. If the Item is sentient it gets a will save (DC 10 + 1/2 the result of the Use Magic Device check) to hide the fact that it is sentient as well as any abilities that definitively mark it as sentient (Skill ranks, ability see and hear, etc.). The Warlock may only try once on a Sentient item or artifact, or once per day on any other magic item.
Advanced Spellcaster [Faerun]
Prerequisites: Spellcasting Prodigy, Practiced Spellcaster, Specialist Wizard or Spell Focus.
Benefit: You gain a +1 competence bonus to your caster level when casting spells from a spell school in which you specialize or for which you have the Spell Focus feat. This stacks with the benefit granted by the Practiced Spellcaster feat and can bring your caster level for that spell school above your HD. You may meet caster level prerequisites for crafting magic items with this bonus provided one or more of the prerequisite spells are of this spell school (and you can cast all of the prerequisite spells).
Special: You may take this feat multiple times. Its benefits do not stack. Each time you take this feat it applies to another spell school in which you Specialize or for which you have the Spell Focus feat.
Please post your feedback below. I am also interested to hear more ideas for Magic feats.Last edited by TheVileVillain; 2010-09-02 at 01:23 PM.

Re: [3.5] Magic Feats
This is potentially broken. If for example I have the Death domain this means I can convert turn or rebuke attempts into what amounts to a "no save, you die if I roll well." I'd be similarly worried about this for the Luck Domain. But I'm not sure this is an issue. It may be worth a feat.My homebrew:
