i have to say i'm really liking the pyro's new flamethrower. i just got it yesterday and the ridiculous insta-speed shotgun blast has helped my game after only a few hours of gameplay. it definitely meant the difference between a scout turning a corner and surviving and a scout taking a few extra bullets to the face. the quick switch to and from the backblast made soldiers even more fun to go up against.

i did see a greater lack of kills via afterburn, but overall killing power was improved IMO. the fact i can still backblast AND quickswitch is awesome. i was initially unimpressed by the stats but in play it's my new fav pyro toy.

since i was playing around with the powerjack trying to get a feel for it i've yet to try it out, but i can see the switch speed + axetinguisher being brutal VS anyone wanting to melee.

i need that hat now to finish the set, but i doubt i'll actually be playing with it. my pyro loadout from now on will probably be:

Degreaser
Shotgun
Axetinguisher

all i need now the is the illustrious golden brain slug...

The files are linked to your steam account anyway, and the manual is all-digital. So unless you REALLY love to collect CDs, steam probably makes more sense.
