Would it help if Denden-chan told Ayase that Kaito can somehow see past the armor of love?

Rex the Quincy has a similar technique, though still extremely rudimentary to the point that he hasn't even named it. He's spent a considerable amount of time practicing augmenting hits with Hirenkyaku, and even so can't do it much without hurting himself. I figure it'll be a long time before he refines the technique enough to consider it very reliable and give it a name.
I was completely unaware of this.

At this point, Kazuma might be in a similar stage. However, being the walking pain sponge he is, he doesn't seem to mind the side-effects much (to the chagrin of the 4th divisioners in charge of him).

He calls it Houken because the vast majority of his moves with it rely on hurling himself like a cannonball.

EDIT: Also, Hasunaga is now making himself useful.

And it should be noted that all his grumpiness is harder to show when he's in shotaro form.

I'm not sure what that would accomplish.

The point I was trying to make was basically "don't treat the joke character too seriously". I'll drop it.

And the point I was trying to make is that you're basically asking me to play an idiot. "Joke Character" or no, like I said, at the moment, Kaito has no reason to not call her by the name he knows her by.

    That said.

If Ayase actually went to Kaito and a.)admitted that, yes, she is in fact Ayase, and not just this random "Warrior of Pure Love", and b.)then requested that he call her by a "code name" when she's transformed, there's a solid chance he'd do so.

But trying to apply OOC pressure to an IC matter, and using the excuses like "Armor of Pure Love" and "she's a joke character" is frustrating for me. It seems like each of us is almost trying to tell the other how to play. We need to find an in-character compromise.

That could happen, but Kaito would have to confront her in private. The "Armor of Pure Love" was not meant to be an excuse, since Denden made it up.

There are plenty of reasons a character would play along with a disguise without being an idiot.

Heck, Char Aznable. Those sunglasses aren't fooling anyone.

And good god, I can't believe I'm spending so much time talking about a magical catgirl.

    Way of Binding
    Bakudō
    + show block
    – hide block

    1. Sai (Restrain)
Locks a target's arms in place behind their back.
    4. Hainawa (Crawling Rope)
An energy rope entangles the target's arms.
    5. ??? (Water Bindings)
Invented by Hamasaki Hibiki. Creates a water orb around the target's hands. It's extremely hard to pull out of, and has a "current" pulling towards the middle.
    5. ??? (Stringed Limbs)
A white ray projects from the user's finger-tip. If this ray strikes it's target then the limb struck will begin to glow white and will stick unerringly to the next object it touches until the bakudo is broken.
    7. ??? (Sun Flash)
One of the concealing bakudo, the user creates a cone of bright light from their cupped hands to temporarily blind an opponent.
    8. Seki (Repulse)
Creates a round shield that seems to temporarily paralyze and repel whatever strikes it.
    9. Geki (Strike)
Engulfs the target in red light, completely paralyzing them. ("Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!")
    9. Hōrin (Disintegrating Circle)
Causes an orange hued tendril with spiraling yellow patterns to erupt from the users hand and attempt to trap a target. the end of it remains in the hands of the user allowing them to control the path of the tendril before and after capture. The Kidō is able to connect with another one of itself if both have captured a target and bind them together. ("Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!")
    15. Kyōmon (Mirror Door)
Tōshirō Hitsugaya used this to seal Momo Hinamori's hospital room. It creates a glass-like barrier which is difficult to break from the outside, but quite simple to break from the inside.
    15. Kumo no Su (Spider's Web)
Creates a web of strands (similar to #9 Hōrin), spanning approximately 15 feet in diameter.
    20. ??? (Briny Prison)
Invented by Hamasaki Hibiki. Creates a solid "block" of water around the target's entire body, short of their head. It is just as hard to escape as the lower-number Water Bindings are.
    20. ??? (Mercurial Network)
Entangles an area in webbings made of metal.
    21. Sekienton (Red Smoke Escape)
Creates a blast upon activation and is used like a ninja's smoke bomb.
    26. Kyokko (Curved Light)
Hides the target from sight, by bending light. The spell has the ability to totally hide the presence and reiatsu of the user or specified object.
    28. ??? (Mirror Wall)
A potent defensive bakudo, it creates a rectangular barrier in front of the user that can reflect kido effects that strike it (up to level 30) back unto it's source with a bit of extra force behind it.
    30. ****otsu Sansen (Beak-Piercing Triple Beam)
Forming a golden triangle with one's finger, it shoots three beams of light that pin the target to one place on a surface, slamming into his or her body in three places in a shape of an equilateral triangle.
    32. ??? (Sea Barrier)
Invented by Hamasaki Hibiki. This Bakudo creates a large barrier in front of the caster; it more or less functions like a weaker version of #81 Danku, blocking Hado up to number 30.
    37. Tsuriboshi (Suspending Star)
Creates a star-shaped cushion of Spiritual Energy, which anchors it to nearby objects with "ropes" of spirit particles. It can stop falling objects, acting like a safety net.
    39. Enkosen (Arc Shield)
Summons a shield of condensed reiatsu to block opponents' attacks. ("Ye who carry the Heavens! Bring the gold arc through the road, and keep the Little Ones safe from sin.")
    51. ??? (Binding Wave)
The highest-number water spell created by Hamasaki Hibiki, this kido creates a large wave that crashes towards enemies; when it captures enough targets it stops, creating the effect of #20 Briny Prison for each of those captured.
    61. Rikujōkōrō (Six Rods Prison of Light)
Summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of their body including the parts that were not struck by the beams. ("Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!")
    62. Hyapporankan (Hundred Steps Fence)
A rod formed of energy is thrown towards the target before it disintegrates into numerous short rods which are used to pin the target to the surroundings and render them immobile.
    63. Sajo Sabaku (Locking Bondage Stripes)
Similar to #4 Hainawa, but stronger, this spell binds the arms of a target.
    73. Tozanshō (Inverse Mountain Crystal)
Creates an inverted pyramid-shaped barrier around the caster.
    75. Gochūtekkan (Quintet of 1-Kan Iron Pillars)
Summons five incredibly tall and thick pillars which are connected to each other by chains to pin a target to the ground. ("Walls of ironsand, a priestly pagoda, glowing ironclad fireflies. Standing upright, silent to the end.")
    79. Kuyō Shibari (Nine Sunlight Traps)
Creates eight black holes that emit spiritual energy in the personal space surrounding the target, with a ninth black hole manifesting in the center of the targets chest.
    81. Danku (Splitting Void)
Creates an energy barrier in the form of a rectangular wall. According to Byakuya, it is capable of stopping destructive spells up to #89.
    99, Part 1. Kin (Seal)
Ties the target's arms on the back in addition to wrapping the spiritual fabric around the entire body, and continues to pin the target with spiritual fabric stacked to the ground around the target with several iron shafts in an "X" shape. This technique can be used to a lesser degree, as Tessai used it on Ichigo to not pin him down on the ground, but simply bind his arms to his back with the spiritual fabric and iron shafts.
99, Part 2. Bankin (Great Seal)
This spell covers the target from head to toe with spiritual fabric (First Song), stabs them with numerous metal bolts (Second Song), and then smashes them with an immense metal cube (Final Song).

    Way of Destruction
    Hadō
    + show block

    1. Shō (Thrust)
Pushes the target away from the caster.
    4. Byakurai (Pale Lightning)
The user fires a concentrated, powerful lightning bolt from their finger. ("Ye who rule over the skies! Lend me thy strength and cast Heaven's purifying light on my foes!")
    5. Foosu Misairu (Force Missile)
Fires a single small blast of force; this blast will follow the designated target, giving a near guarantee of hitting.
    6. ??? (Sea Bullet)
Invented by Hamasaki Hibiki. Shoots a small ball of water from the caster's finger which impacts with the force of a bullet.
    8. ??? (Iron Thorn)
Uses the zanpakutou as a focus, firing a metal spike at the target position.
    10. ??? (Emerald Grasp)
A hado spell that creates a pillar of explosive green energy beneath the target, hitting everything within its 5ft-wide and 20ft-tall area.
    10. Foosu Bakuhatsu (Force Blast)
Fires a blast of force in a line, often pushing the target back while causing damage.
    11. Tsuzuri Raiden (Bound Lightning)
Electric current flows through any object the user touches and is able to lead electricity, damaging any target that is in contact with the object the current runs through.
    12. ??? (Sea Sword)
Invented by Hamasaki Hibiki. Creates a slashing wave of water that can cut as effectively as a blade.
    12. Soren Byakurai (Twin Lotus Pale Lightning)
User fires a bolt identical to #4 Byakurai from each hand. Each hand can point in a different direction.
    18. ??? (Iron Rain)
As #8 Iron Thorn, but fires several metal spikes over an area.
    19. ??? (Guillotine Press)
This hado sends a crescent blade of cutting energy at the target, and is particularly useful in severing bakudo spells below level 15.

    20. ??? (Iron Lotus Burst) : Detonates one spike from #8 Iron Thorn or #18 Iron Rain into a shower of metal shards.

    20. Foosu Misairu no Arashi (Force Missile Storm)
Fires a series of missiles similar to #5 Foosu Misairu. It fires 20 missiles and can target up to 5 enemies.
    24. ??? (First Wave)
Invented by Hamasaki Hibiki. Creates a moderately large wave that pushes back and bludgeons targets.
    30. ??? (Iron Lotus Detonation)
As #20 Iron Lotus Burst, but detonates all spikes created by the caster.
    31. Shakkahō (Shot of Red Fire)
Fires a ball of red energy at a target. ("Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!")
    32. Ōkasen (Yellow Fire Flash)
Fires a wide arc of yellow energy at a target.
    33. Sōkatsui (Blue Fire, Crash Down)
Fires a burst of blue spiritual energy at a target in a similar manner to #31 Shakkahō, but over a wider area and with more power. ("Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws.")
    35. ??? (Gravity Slam)
This hado is unusual because it lacks an outward display of power until it actually hits. Those affected by feel as if a massive weight has suddenly slammed into them from above crushing them down into the ground. The area of Gravity Slam is wide enough to catch multiple targets if they are close enough together and has less effect on larger targets.
    36. ??? (Geyser)
Invented by Hamasaki Hibiki. This hado creates a superheated column of water that blasts upwards, scalding and knocking back targets.
    36. Kongōbaku (Adamantine Blast)
A wide blast of spherical, red energy similar in strength to a #33 Sōkatsui blast.
    48. ??? (Second Wave)
Invented by Hamasaki Hibiki. This hado creates a wave twice as large as #24 First Wave, in addition creating spikes of water that can impale targets.
    54. Haien (Abolishing Flames)
Fires a blast of purple spiritual energy that will incinerate a target completely when it makes contact.
    58. Tenran (Orchid Sky)
A widening tornado-like blast is fired towards the target.
    63. Raikōhō (Thunder Roar Cannon)
Fires a massive wave of yellow energy at a target. ("Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle!")
    63. Sōren Sōkatsui (Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down)
Essentially a doubled version of #33 Sōkatsui (labelled as #73 in anime), this spell fires two shots of blue fire with greater potency than the single-shot variety. ("Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens.")
    70. Gaki Rekkō (Raging Light Fang)
A spell that makes a circle of energy, before firing blasts of green light from its center in a cage-like formation.
    72. Tsunami
Invented by Hamasaki Hibiki. Creates a wave thrice the size of #24 First Wave, inflicting massive destruction upon a large area, but requires a large body of water to cast.
    88. Hiryugekizokushintenraiho (Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon)
Fires a gigantic electricity blast of spiritual energy resulting in a truly enormous explosion.
    90. Kurohitsugi (Black Coffin)
Forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears," lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition. The spell is very difficult to use, as even Aizen could only unleash a third of its power without the incantation when he used it on Sajin Komamura.
    91. Senjū Kōten Taihō (Thousand-Hand Bright Heaven Culling-Sear)
Summons several spears of light that are all fired towards the same focal point where the intended target resides. The culminating explosion is exceedingly devastating. ("Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky. The road that basks in light, the wind that ignited the embers, time that gathers when both are together, there is no need to be hesitant, obey my orders. Light bullets, eight bodies, nine items, book of heaven, diseased treasure, great wheel, grey fortress tower. Aim far away, scatter brightly and cleanly when fired")
    96. Ittō Kasō (Single Blade Cremation)
A forbidden spell used by Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto. It is a spell that causes a huge pillar of fire to erupt from the ground in the shape of a katana's tip. It is implied to be a forbidden technique that can only be activated by using one's own body as a catalyst. Aizen calls it the spell of sacrifice.
    93. Hyōga Seiran (Glacier Vapor Storm)
Fires a massive wave of ice capable of freezing its targets and surrounding area as well as destroying a group of Menos Grande through sheer power.
    99. ??? (Fierce Breathing of the West Flight)
Summons as many as 50 fiery dragons which seek out enemies and explode with incredible force. This spell has enough power to level entire cities. ("Worm of a thousand heads, rear up and cast a vicious glare, inhale the land and the sky unto yourself, boil the blood in rage, let loose your brood, that they paint the heavens red of flame and the earth black of coal, and upon your foes, mark them with light, that they gaze in horror and that those loyal to you know the oncoming apocalypse.")

    30. ??? (Synesthesis of Sounds and Sights)
This technique allows the caster to look into a body, it requires concentration to use for prolonged periods.
    77. Tenteikūra (Heavenly Rickshaws in Silken Air)
Transmits messages mentally to anyone within an area of the caster's choosing. In addition to reciting the spell, the user must draw specific markings on their arms, which are animated by the spell to convey the messages. The messages can be spoken either by the caster or by another within the vicinity of the caster. ("Black and white net. Twenty-two bridges, sixty-six crowns and belts. Footprints, distant thunder, sharp peak, engulfing land, hidden in the night, sea of clouds, blue line. Form a circle and fly though the heavens.")
    58. Kaku****suijaku (Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows)
Tracks and locates any spiritual force the user focuses on. To activate it, the user must draw a circle on the ground, cut into four parts with a specific character in each. The incantation animates the circle, causing various numbers to appear within until the specific set is found. The number set seems to be a variation on longitude and latitude. ("Heart of the south, eye of the north, finger of the west, foot of the east, arrive with the wind and depart with the rain.")
    80. ??? (Black Huntsman)
Summons the Black Huntsman. The spell cannot be completed without a candle imbued with a drop of the user's blood, placed upon a window sill at night. The Huntsman will appear when the chant is completed, and his arrival is signified by the candle lighting itself. After this, the chanter has to represent his offer and payment to the Huntsman during the time it takes for the candle to burn out. Once he accepts, Zamiel will extinquish the candle, after which he'll leave to complete the duty. ("Harry the wind, ye masked Rider of Black Fortune. Ride the east leg, travel the west peak, climb the north wall and find the ironsand of the south! Seek forth that black dog, and force it to face itself!")
    80. ??? (White Headsman)
Summons the White Headsman. The White Headsman is the counter to the Black Huntsman, hunting him down and taking back to where they both hail from. The spell cannot be completed without a mirror wrapped with a hair of a beautiful woman which the caster places in the dawn sun. The next dawn, the mirror will be gone. The Headsman will go forth and seek the Black Huntsman until he is slain or the duty of the Black Huntsman is complete. ("Headsman of the Celestial Court! From the sands of the North to shores of the South, cast your gaze from the Carriage of Thunder and bring your judgment upon the unworthy!")

It literally tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy that must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway. ("My right hand is the stone that bridges worlds. My left hand is the blade that binds reality. The black-haired shepherd is hung from a chair. Stratus clouds come, and I strike down the ibis.")
    Jikanteishi (Temporal Stasis)
A forbidden spell which halts time in a specified area. Doing so ages the caster of the spell ten times the amount he is holding at bay.
    Kūkanten'i (Spatial Displacement)
A forbidden spell, teleports a large area to another specified location. It is powerful enough to teleport active kido spells along with physical objects.
    Hanki (Reverse Demon)
An ability which nullifies an opponent's Kidō by hitting it with another one of perfectly opposite speed and energy. The ability can even neutralize an opponent's movements when used in conjunction with a physical attack.
    Shunkō (Flash Cry)
An advanced technique that combines hand-to-hand combat and Kidō energy to explosively increase a Shinigami's offensive capabilities. A high-pressured Kidō surges throughout the user's body, enhancing their arms and legs for battle. The Kidō itself can also be controlled and fired at opponents from the body.

Quick question, how does Reene know of Hasunaga's state? I specifically noted he was making his way around the building to avoid cameras.

(Her knowing it's him is no skin off my nose. I figured whoever has spiritual dealings on a regular basis can tell that he's a medium.)

There was a shrimp following him all along.

And that is totally not a cop-out because I didn't see the "avoiding the cameras" bit.

He calls it Houken because the vast majority of his moves with it rely on hurling himself like a cannonball.
Rex's version is going to focus more on punches and throws, and probably not be terribly flashy. After all, he's a ranged fighter. Hand-to-hand is backup for him. Might be interesting if Rex and Kazuma met somewhere down the line and compared notes...

It was after the point where Vicente had smoke-bombed the place then swung underneath the skybox. He posted Vicente being right besides Serazel, which implied he was beside the correct one as opposed to an illusion.

It was something I was perfectly willing to concede, given that Vicente has excellent Pesquisa, as opposed to Sereg, whom doesn't even have it listed.

Of course, in the spirit of sportsmanship, I DID offer a few clues regarding who was an illusion and who was real, though I'm not sure who, if anyone, happened to pick it up.

Warheit, just so things are clear...

It is not yet actual nighttime in the Mortal World, unless Terry skipped time a couple of hours. The fight in the gym ended...I dunno, 1pmish? I know the whole incident with Angry Janitor happened right before or after lunch, so maybe it's 2pmish.

It's dark and wet because of an unusual thunderstorm that rolled into town (and such storms can and will make it seem like night), though said storm is starting to break up.

The kids at the gym are going to be heading home in the next few posts, barring outside interference. Sora went straight from the school to the graveyard, so at most it's maybe a half-hour later.

That all to say...there's no problem with Rex being in the graveyard on a patrol. But it couldn't be a "standard night patrol" since...it's not night. Maybe he's there this early because a.)he got out of school early, and b.)he knows there were a lot of Hollows running about, so maybe he was keeping them away from civilians?

Alright, about the attack by Sora:

I thought it would be a nice plot movement for the Mortals who do know Spirit World stuff, as they had nothing to do for a while.

Just to confirm that it's intentional and not a mistake, I will sometimes refer to Rex's reiatsu revolver as a bow, since technically it's still a Quincy bow. Just a weird-looking one.

Aaand I think I've finished up another character concept in my head...

Name: Mitsurugi Reiji (alter-ego: Hakusai, Yuurei no Kamen, among other nicknames)
    Age: 27
    Sex: Male
Eye color: Blind. (Red in his other guise)
    Hair color: Dark red.
    Description:
    Spoiler
    Show
A tallish man in his late twenties, Reiji can always be seen in an impeccably clean white suit with a matching shirt, trousers, shoes and a red tie. When it rains, he often adds an equally impeccable white trenchcoat. He is also never seen without his red shades and cane, while his assistant is usually the one to carry his briefcase. He has a beautiful smile that he doesn't show often and complements his youthful, finely chiseled face. His long, dark red hair is tied up in a ponytail that he usually hangs to his right side. When without his shades, one can see a scar crossing both his eyes and the bridge of his nose. It's rather unsightly, and for this reason alone he is usually permitted to keep them on while in court.

His alter-ego guise is much less inviting. Clad in black from neck to toe, the only respite of "color" is a rounded white helmet-like mask with a chin-guard protecting his entire jaw. There do not seem to be holes out of which one could stare, nor insets for lenses. Witness accounts mention occasional bright red flares of light coming from where the eyes would be, however. The bodysuit itself looks like it's bulked up from muscle underneath, giving him the appearance of a lean but fairly strong individual. From the waist down, what looks like a half-cape flows to about knee-height, with another manteau with a closed neckline that comes down to the middle of his chest.

    Background:
    Spoiler
    Show
Reiji's father Ryuichi used to be an exceedingly successful prosecutor in Phoenix Town. Given its size, crime wasn't exactly a big issue in it, so the city was fairly prosperous. This made it a prime target for Yakuza expansion. The bulk of their violent campaign took place during Ryuichi's career as a district attorney. He was known for being very hard on organized crime, which earned him the wrath of more than a handful of enemies.
It all came to a head after he'd managed to successfully convict a major lieutenant of the local Yakuza's gumi of murder. Unheeding the repeated threats, Ryuichi got around a veritable cascade of underhanded defense tactics designed to get him off the case. The death threats were fulfilled - Reiji's mother and father were killed before him, and the sadistic assassin even blinded the by-then 5-year-old boy so he could not be recognized.
Some seventeen years later, Reiji returned to Phoenix Town. Appointed as the local district attorney, he took over where his father had left off. His conviction rate was nothing short of amazing - his cases were somehow almost always airtight. Evidence that would seem irrecoverable by any means would turn up at a lot of trials he was present in. Unlikely suspects would be found guilty beyond reasonable doubt. It got to the point that some criminals wouldn't bother pleading not guilty because, the way they figured, they'd have an easier time of it if they just confessed right away, earning Reiji the court nickname of "Inquisitor".
Not an year after Reiji returned, rumors started flying around the seedy underbelly of Phoenix Town of some strange "spirit" in black clothes and a white mask that would sabotage large-scale criminal operations. He was seemingly impossible to harm - bullets fired at him would simply disappear in thin air, then be fired back. Motolov cocktails would burst and burn around him. And, of course, none could actually hit him in hand-to-hand combat. He gained several nicknames: "Hakusai" (White Judge, supposedly his self-chosen handle), Yuurei no Kamen (Ghost's Mask), etc.. Many consider him an urban legend, as the criminals themselves were often the only witnesses to his appearance, which is not to speak of his supernatural nature.
Behind all this was Reiji's awakening as a medium, which dated back to the murder of his parents. He could see them. Speak to them. Knowing all the while that he would never truly be with them again. Their constant presence slowly strengthened his budding powers. As fate would have it, their loss gave him the means to do justice in their stead. Those means were his powers and a sense of purpose. By negotiating with Plusses, Reiji was able to unearth information that would be seemingly lost with their deaths. His determination quickly carried him through Law school, as thankfully his father's spoils were somewhat considerable. Once he figured he was ready, he made his triumphant return to Phoenix Town, where he lives to this day.

    Personality:
    Spoiler
    Show
In public, Reiji often displays a cool, detached demeanor. Despite his politeness, those who know little or nothing of his private life are prone to consider him cold and uncaring. This is a facade that Reiji puts up on purpose. Despite the fact that, unlike his father, he has the ability to protect the people he loves, Reiji is deathly afraid of connecting to people in a meaningful way for fear of them being targetted. The only ones he seems to display significant emotion or warmth towards are his team of spiritual "investigators", and that might be because they're in much less danger than anyone Reiji knows. Deep inside, he figures he will only be able to truly rest when there's no such thing as crime in his town - which is to say, never.

    Powers:
    Spoiler
    Show
    Hoo boy.

Reiji's seemingly only power is the manipulation of the electromagnetic radiation that we commonly refer to as light. However, this ability is manyfold.

Light sense: This ability is what essentially allows Reiji to function despite being medically blind. For all effects and purposes, he can see - though this part of his power goes beyond that. Effectively, in a 100-foot radius, he knows practically every detail of anything that interacts with light (color, fine detail, etc.). If someone is effectively invisible in an area where light exists within that radius, he knows. Because light itself travels, mundane shadows do not deny this ability (but absorbing or bending light does). He is not effectively blind beyond this radius, but he can only "see" as well as a regular person after that - as, again, light travels, and it eventually reaches his field. The field itself is not interrupted by physical obstacles. (Spiritual obstacles such as a Kidou-powered wall or Sekkiseki do, however).

Light bending: Reiji can bend light around objects or make them intangible to light (making it go right past them). Visually speaking, this means he can turn himself or other things invisible (or, for creep effect, make it so a mirror no longer shows a reflection, selected or otherwise).

Light intensification: Reiji can intensify existing light by using his Reiatsu. He cannot create light where there is none (such as empty space).

Light 'absorption': Reiji can also concentrate light in certain spots in order to create effects. Visually speaking, this creates an area of "shadow" covered by a vague luminescence. The light doesn't actually disappear or 'go' anywhere - it's merely focused and visually changed.

Light constructs: By bending or absorbing light in the manners described above, Reiji can create shapes and effects that he controls at will. He can fire laser blasts, or create lightsabers, or even make actual constructs. He cannot make anything with exceedingly complex parts (so no light cellphones or light computers. Light motorcycles? Sure, all he needs are two wheels and a seat). These shapes and effects are freely manipulated in space within the 100-ft. radius of his ability, but after they escape that radius he cannot regain control (and since he cannot instill sentience in them or continue to keep them cohesive after that, they tend to dissipate after a while of leaving said radius, though their behavior depends on what they are and how much energy they have in them. As a general rule, the more complex the construct and the farther away from the radius, the quicker it dissipates). These constructs can exert force or impact in a manner and shape appropriate to their size and energy (so in order to lift, say, a bus, Reiji would need to use a bus-sized shape, or focus enough energy into the shape that it could lift a bus). By making a construct of bent light, Reiji can make it seem like he has telekinesis. These constructs are capable of fine manipulation and can, themselves, be finely manipulated into other shapes. Think telekinetic Play-Doh. the Green Lantern's ring, only using ambient light as its energy source.

Equipment: Reiji carries a pair of pocket flashlights and a lighter with him at all times. In addition, when in his alter-ego guise, he also often carries magnesium/phosphorus flash bombs and what he calls a "flash gun" (a battery-powered, gun-shaped revolver of sorts that briefly flashes a very bright light whenever the trigger is pulled).

Allies: Reiji has a team of Plus investigators recruited either from Soul Society or among the wandering themselves that act as his unseen eyes and ears in town. They're fairly numerous, but are also noncombatants - their function is information gathering.

These shapes and effects are freely manipulated in space within the 100-ft. radius of his ability, but after they escape that radius he cannot regain control (and since he cannot instill sentience in them or continue to keep them cohesive after that, they tend to dissipate after a while of leaving said radius, though their behavior depends on what they are and how much energy they have in them).

    Interesting...

Though, he seems a bit familiar.

Lasers and the sort I can understand. But why would light cause physical impact? The way I see it, those light constructs should mainly be intangible phantasms. o_O

Light behaves as both a particle and a wave. Theoretically, at high enough concentrations, light could behave as more standard matter.

Or, he's manipulating the electromagnetic forces inherent in light to create a sort of "force field" effect, which acts like matter.

    Anyways. Overall interesting. Two things.

First, I think any of his constructs more complicated than "blast of energy" or "wall of light" should start to rapidly break down after they exit his 100ft of influence. As well, they should be rendered motionless (barring something that was essentially "thrown"), as they are no longer controlled. Otherwise, he could create some "light golems", give them orders, and they can go march off somewhere to fight. Perhaps explain it that the energy necessary to help his constructs sustain any shape is high enough and concentrated enough that it just won't work for anything with more complexity than "wall", "blast", "blade", or the like.

Second, I am slightly concerned about the degree to which he can simulate regular telekinesis; this concern is, if I am honest, due to my control of a telekinetic. As it stands, I can't tell if he's able to act like a Green Lantern, wherein he sends out a vague "beam" of light and just grasps something in a "force field" and lifts it (thus making it visible light TK), or if he has to make some sort of large lever, humanoid construct, or the like to lift things.
If it's the former, I'd prefer if it took more the form of the latter.
