Gregaros drops the nearest goblin, just inside and to the left of the door. Brandon deals a fierce blow to the next nearest one, though the spear-wielding goblin keeps his feet.

Talsarios rushes forward and fires his sling to the far corner of the room and sticks a stone right in the chest of one goblin. Jeanne pokes her head around the corner and takes aim at the right hand side of the room. With a word of enchantment, her spell effects all twelve goblins in the right hand side of the room; they sag sleepily to the floor.

Nathros hurls his axe straight into the room, cutting the legs out from under one of the goblins.

Ten goblins remain awake and armed, and they rush the door. Six of them crowd around the newcomers in the door and jab their spears ineffectively, a single blow glancing off Brandon's armor as all the others miss entirely.

10 goblins, 1 badly injured, remain in the fight. Six have taken up spaces blocking the entry to the room and four remain behind them.

Arrows continue to fire through the murderholes intermittently in the entry tunnel. The woodsmen wait in the courtyard.

Brandon Bor

Even as he draws back his sword to complete his swing at the goblin, Brandon drawls in a deliberately soft voice, "Good work, Jeanne. That was your spell, right?" He can't tell for sure, but it was a female voice he had heard chanting.

Brandon and Nathros step forward against the crowd of goblins, and Nathros bisects the nearest one.

Gregaros lunges in to no effect while Talasarios and Jeanne fire into the crowded room but miss.

The six goblins crowding around the door press their attack but only one lands a blow, a spear to the shoulder of Nathros.

Gregaros cuts down one of the pressing goblins and Stefan puts a sling stone into another. Jeanne fires high and the goblins dances out of the way of Nathros' blade. Devin draws his bow and rushes through the gauntlet of arrows to join the others.

Brandon slices into the goblin before him*, and the goblin steps back to allow another to take his place. The front line of six again attack, Brandon, Nathros, and Gregaros with their spears.

Talsarios fires a sling bullet toward one of the injured goblins in the rear, knocking him off his feet.

Gregaros cuts down the goblin nearest him as Nathros and Brandon continue to hold the line against the goblin mass.

Stefan and Talsarios fire sling stones into the room but miss. Jeanne picks off one of the goblins with a finely crafted arrow.*

The injured goblins return to the frontline, filling in the gaps left by their fallen fellows.

The goblin that struck Brandon strikes again at the same spot, giggling cruelly.

Another spears Nathros and grunts in celebration.

Brandon grunts as the goblin attacks him again. His unshaven face briefly twists in real rage as the spear hits him again in the same spot.

He concentrates as he tries to chop the wretched goblin's left arm off with his sword.

Brandon's normally tenor voice goes a bit soprano as he screams with fear and even greater frustration as his sword keeps missing the goblin.

"Talsarios, can you try charming one of these bastards?"

Stefan calls to Devin: "Move your men out to the courtyard and ready whatever ranged attacks you can. Give us cover the second we retreat!"

Stefan loads his sling cautiously and pops far enough into the room to let a shot fly before ducking back out.

"...if it comes to that," he mutters to himself.

Not having the rule book to hand (I'm posting via phone while away from home for a few days), I can't check if Carm Person will work on creatures already engaged in combat... DM?
If it is possible, Talsarios'll cast it on a goblin who is at least currently not being attacked directly by our party.

Gregaros cuts down the last injured goblin and Jeanne puts an arrow through the throat of another sending him tumbling back into the large room.*

The two remaining goblins seem to avoid the other attacks, including a ground-level arrow fired by Devin from the hallway.

Talasarios seeks to work a beguiling spell on the nearest goblin. The sharp eared little monster locks eyes with Talasarios momentarily but shakes it off. He takes an ineffectual stab at Gregaros but misses.

The other goblin continues to jab at Brandon, landing yet another blow that brings the young warrior to his knees.
