I think it's a bit hard to defrag a computer using a frag grenade. However, if your computer was hit by one, it may need some defragmentation.

    School rant.
    *head>desk*
I've been in several history classes. I've gotten Cs in all of them, because no matter what, the people, dates and events that I memorize and study the most are NOT ON THE TEST.
It's not like I don't study! I've spent the past 2 evenings going over my notes and the textbook! I spend more time on things I think would be good test material, and then they're not on the test.
Unless I somehow magically got a B on the midterm I just took, or a C even, I'll not be able to get a B in the class. I'll probably need spectacular grades on everything else in this class to pull a B-. That's one 8-page paper, and a comprehensive final exam. I don't think I'll make it to the dean's list this semester.

On the bright side, now I've only 3 classes left til fall break.

So it's sorted. I'm not applying for the universities I was originally going for because I didn't really want to go to any of them. Except Leicester. Which I am going to go to.

Which means I don't have to worry about the 15th October deadline anymore, considering I'm not applying for Oxbridge! Huzzah!

Next problem: I know I want to go to Leicester. Which is AAB/ABB req. Now I need to find 4 other universities that do a good Maths course to go to, that want AAB-BBC grades.

AHH! *runs around in small circles*

Newcastle was AAB when I applied, and is good for maths.
Sheffield was ABC, and I can remember very little about it. Tony Miles went there, so it must be pretty good.

Well, that's more work than I've done in the past... 2 weeks at least.

The Demon Cat once climbed to the very top of a telegraph pole and then iumped straight off the top.

But didn't earlier when you were thinking Oxbridge say that the teachers were predicting you AAA* or something? Because if they were fudging the grades iust to boost the school's cred by having an Oxbridge applicant/an actual Camford student that's well . . . pretty sneaky and cool, but dishonest.
If they predicted you those grades, those are the grades you should be getting writ down even if you aren't applying Oxbridge.
And let's be frank, while Camford're good, they aren't the be-all and end-all of education, and certainly there are fantastic unis out there to go to as well.

*raises of glass of [insert favourite alcoholic or other drink]*
    You'll get in.
I 'member looking at the prospectus for Leicester, correct me if I'm wrong, but I 'member thinking it was a pretty place to study. I don't think the English course was all that good, hence the not-applying-there-at-all dealy.

    Certainly the workload's lighter.
    *sighes*
On the plus side, I have an introduction that slides seamlessly into the main body of my essay! Iust as soon as I find out whether Cynewulf and Cyneheard really does contain all the themes I claimed it did.
    >.>
    <.<
    *checks quickly*
    Yes, it does.
So, I have an introduction that'll let me slide seamlessly into the main body of my work. And! a pivot so I can point out the other side of my argument.
    Go me.
Now to start making myself do this sort of thing with more than eighteen hours until the deadline remaining. And having read more than two essays of marginally useful secondary material.

Important tip for essayists: Make sure that the themes you claim to exist in the works you're writing on actually exist before you start writing the essay. It'll save you trouble later on.

Lor' lumme I'm hungry. I'll go have a toastie later.

If they predicted you those grades, those are the grades you should be getting writ down even if you aren't applying Oxbridge.
And let's be frank, while Camford're good, they aren't the be-all and end-all of education, and certainly there are fantastic unis out there to go to as well.

I 'member looking at the prospectus for Leicester, correct me if I'm wrong, but I 'member thinking it was a pretty place to study. I don't think the English course was all that good, hence the not-applying-there-at-all dealy.

    Certainly the workload's lighter.

On the plus side, I have an introduction that slides seamlessly into the main body of my essay! Iust as soon as I find out whether Cynewulf and Cyneheard really does contain all the themes I claimed it did.

I love having a kitchen in the house. Oh, maybe a yoghurt while I toast. Or some runner beans.

    Yes.
    Yes I did say toast.
Hovis Best of Both, medium toasted on both sides. Crunchy, but not so crunchy it echoes off the walls when you bite into it.

My English Teacher doesn't like Haiku. Well, she likes them, but most of the people who aren bad at English seem to use Haiku and butchering them. Poor English Teacher, having Haiku ruined by fools.

In english class back in school we were asked to write several types of poems. Most people chose haikus because of how easy they were.

So I guess it's probably true.
